Eclipses 2018 Vol. 1 : Total Lunar Eclipse (Jan 31) – Celestial Goddess Pointer. Regenerative Creative Power.

Dear ASTRO~NEWS Blog Reader,

We’re in Eclipse Season again (twice a year):  

Two Eclipses are on the horizon – and their effects have been noticeable for a while:

• The Imbolc Total Lunar Eclipse / SuperMoon in LEO – AQ on Wed Jan 31, and
• The Partial Solar Eclipse in late AQ / cusp to PI on Feb 15. It also ushers in the Chinese New Year (always on the day after the second New Moon after Winter Solstice) of the Yang Earth Dog (stay tuned for a blog post on this!)!

The ‘Superstar’ Total Lunar Eclipse on Jan 31, with many attributes (Blue Moon, Blood Moon, SuperMoon) – and in central LEO – shows up quite dramatically as a very unique Yod, and even ‘Green Kite’ formation, pointing TO the Eclipse!

In our purrrsonal LEO journey, and in the AQ group consciousness, we’re experiencing all these dynamics.
Let’s see how they play out, what’s ‘UP’, wants to be seen (and loved, as in LEO)!

Loving awareness leads to Freedom!

LOVE is the Medicine that helps us in the ‘storm’ – is both grounding, and raises the vibration from which we experience the ‘events’! 

 

 

The Total Lunar Eclipse on Jan 31 will be visible in East and South-East Asia, Australia, Alaska, and Greenland.
The Path of the Chinese New Year Partial Solar Eclipse on Feb 15 will go over South America and Antarctica.

Twice a year, a pair of Eclipses occurs, and they ‘string together’, through the Lunar Nodes.
Remember the last Eclipse pair in August 2017?
Of course! The famous ‘American’ Total Solar Eclipse of Aug 21 was epic. The Partial Lunar Eclipse on Aug 7 was less spectacular, yet both were united through their shared AQ – LEO theme.

And now we see another pair of Eclipses in LEO – AQ where the Lunar Nodes have been since end of April 2017, and will be until Nov 2018.

This time, the MOON is the SuperStar – as the blue (2nd Full Moon in the calendar Month, after the New Year’s SuperSuperMoon) / red (eclipsed) SuperMoon Total Lunar Eclipse in LEO.

The Partial Solar Eclipse end of AQ on Feb 15 has a more ‘humble’ appearance, in comparison to the dramatic Total Lunar Eclipse – yet nevertheless important effects…

 

Eclipses 101

• Eclipses occur when a NEW MOON or a FULL MOON are close to the Nodal Axis, which is presently (April 2017 – Nov 2018) in AQ – LEO.
• Eclipses come twice a year, in pairs of New Moon / Solar and Full Moon / Lunar (sometimes even as a triad, as in: July 12, 2018 Partial Solar, July 27, 2017 Total Lunar, and Aug 11, 2018 Partial Solar Eclipse), when it’s the month of the North Node (this year LEO – and back into CAN), and the month of the South Node (this year AQ).
  On that note, Eclipses, as the Nodes go backwards in the Zodiac (presently LEO – AQ, from Nov on CAN – CAP).
• The closer to the Nodes the more likely a Total Eclipse:
  The Full Moon on Jan 31 will be at 11°37′ LEO, and the North Node at 15°16′ LEO – very close, and a Total Lunar Eclipse!
  The Sun of the New Moon on Feb 15 will be at 27°07′ AQ, and the South Node at 14°27′ AQ – not close enough for a Total Solar Eclipse, but for a Partial SE.
• Eclipses are either connected with the South Node (SN) = emphasis on release, or with the North Node (NN) of the Moon = emphasis on new beginnings. This is esp. important for Solar Eclipses (exact New Moons)!
  The Total Lunar Eclipse in LEO on Jan 31 catalyzes the North Node in LEO.
  The Partial Solar Eclipse in AQ on Feb 15 catalyzes the South Node in AQ (release).
• Eclipses are at the same position in the Zodiac every 18-19 years – a karmic ‘string’:
  On Feb 5, 2000 was a SN Solar Eclipse in AQ. For the Partial Solar Eclipse on Feb 15 you might want to review where you were at in early 2000, and what was the ending / release of an engagement in a community / system, while you were following your own heart, esp. if you have your SUN, MOON, Planets, or even Nodes in LEO – AQ.
• The effect of the Eclipses extends beyond ‘just’ a lunar monthly phase, rather 2 – 3 months, and it’s a chain from Eclipse ‘season’ (last one in August 2017) to Eclipse season (Jan / Feb 2018, and July 2018).
• Eclipses are a RE-set, like rebooting your computer, after a temporary turning off of the energy.
  In other words, a RE-generation of YIN-Feminine (LUNAR ECLIPSE), and of the YANG-Masculine (SOLAR ECLIPSE) energies, after a ‘darkening’.
  The Total Lunar Eclipse / Blood Moon is clearly a RE-generation of the YIN-Feminine, in her passionate LEO Strength – roarrrr!

Jan 31 TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE in mid-LEO / mid-AQ (Gates of Power)

Also a SuperMoon, and close to Imbolc (Feb 2)

Regeneration of Creative Power, Freedom, and Self-Radiance

It’s an ECLIPSE of the MOON, by the Earth Shadow which causes the temporary lunar darkening – the umbra (= shadow), out of which the MOON re-emerges.

Mother Earth provokes and evokes a ‘RE-SET’ of LEO themes like:

• Come (back) into your creative strength and radiance!
• Bring out / heal your Inner Child!
• Be the Artist & the Heart-ist!
• Live Life Lovingly!

How do we get from here to there, you may ask, given all the shadow that’s been cast ON Planet Earth, preventing our Lunar / Yin / Feminine to be in ‘her’ strength?

By the way, just to clarify, I’m not talking generically about men and / vs. women, but about the Inner Feminine in all Beings and phenomena.
I strongly believe that’s more helpful than polarizing in the divisive realm of dualities (which can also happen a lot at a Full Moon, and an exact one like this, even more so). 

This is the TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE in LEO, complementing the TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE on Aug 21:
The Yin Energy meets the Yang Energy in equality, and with her own intrinsic strength.

Just felt called to pick a Goddess card from Susan Boulet’s deck.
CHANGING WOMAN showed up!

Had to be right by the MOON / North Node in the chart. 

 

This is what the description says:

“Changing Woman is perhaps the most revered of deities among Native Americans of the southwestern United States. She is wholly benevolent, since it is Changing Woman who gives the people their abundance and who provides the teachings that allow them to live in harmony with all things.
In the initiation ceremony of Navajo women, the initiate takes in the power of Changing Woman so that she might learn the values of love, hospitality, and generosity, and know that she herself is a source of food and harmony.
Changing Woman received her name because she can change at will from baby to girl to a young woman to an old woman, and then back again.
Very much alive today, she is a tremendously nourishing goddess who teaches the wisdom of nature and the cycles of birth and death.”

Wow, I’m so grateful and in awe of the gift and teaching in this card.
Feminine strength for sure!

And the theme of changing from baby, girl, young, and old woman  and back is such a beautiful expression of the lunar cycle too. In a Total Lunar Eclipse the MOON apparently goes through the whole cycle from waning – dark – waxing – full. Such an additional symbol for the renewal of the Feminine. 

The Feminine IS cyclical and renewing. 
Let’s step into this Power, and celebrate Life, and the renewing, life giving forces of Nature!

 

Another related theme round Change:

Between the TSE on Aug 21 and now, JUPITER entered SCORPIO (on 10/10/17), and abundant hidden, covered agenda has been brought to our awareness – to transform deep ‘sediment’ from the bottom-up, esp. in Scorpionic affairs of behind-the-scenes agenda, sex, power, manipulation, abuse, shame…
Change for the better gets a big boost this year. Yet, we must go into the dark for this.
JUPITER is almost exactly between the SUN in AQ and the MOON in LEO now (the square of the MOON to JUPITER happens on Jan 31 / Feb 1, and the square of the SUN to JUPITER on Feb 10).
Deep transformation brings out true intrinsic power which doesn’t engage in power ‘draws’, and stands in its natural strength (like a Lion/ess).

A movement is obviously already kindled, and happening globally, esp. triggered through the U.S., since the new presidency. 
Goes to show, often it has to get worse (lights go out) to get better (lights go on again) and bring out our best…. human nature (says AQ)…

In our personal lives, the TLE in LEO calls us to be in touch with our loving and creative Heart, and in passionate creative collaboration with others in community, and in solidarity with Humanity (SUN / VENUS in AQ).

Yet not loose energy (South Node in AQ) through engagement in ‘low grade’ group / collective energy (like: being sucked into shock-and-awe news and media manipulation).
CO-creating the NEW is the theme.

 

The Total LUNAR ECLIPSE in mid-AQ / mid-LEO is super relevant for all of us with SUN, MOON, AC, or Planets in mid-LEO, mid-AQ, but also in mid-TAU, and mid-SCO.

Your personal birth chart and which houses the Eclipse axis falls into for you reveals the particular themes and areas of life this plays out for you.

For all of us, Heart creations, loving and showing ourselves more fully are LEO MOON / North Node incentives in the Eclipse dynamic, vs. just ‘watching the show’ (lots of ‘shows’ going on out there in the media, it can easily get draining and overwhelming) or dissociating (AQ South Node shadow, activated by the SUN and VENUS).

That doesn’t mean not to be informed politically, but too much of a ‘good thing’ in a passive, numbing way doesn’t help, yet the tendency can be strong these days (months… since April 2017 to Nov 2018) with the South Node in AQ.

The Nodal axis invites us to balance both ‘poles’ in a healthy way, starting with ‘breathing in’ beneficial energies on the MOON / North Node in LEO side:

Loving and showing ourselves as we ARE – as a mother or grandmother / Changing Woman would love her child.
From there connecting with others, friends, groups, humanity, or even an ‘anonymous crowd’ with a loving energy.
If we ‘pick up’ ‘random vibes’ from the collective that are draining clearing and release is definitely cool and needed. Being in Nature, and being creative and playful helps.

Let’s loosen the connection with the technological umbilical chord (SN / SUN / VENUS in AQ), and be naturally creative and playful FIRST.

The main theme of the whole chart / cosmic matrix!

The MOON / North Node in LEO are the balancing point for SO much celestial energy on the other side of the chart (from SCO to ARIES)!

As a Planetary Pattern this is a ‘Bucket’, with the MOON / NN in LEO being the ‘handle’ which picks up the rest!
Seems like Goddess is taking charge…!

Back to the exact YOD configuration…which has an important message for us.

What’s a YOD?
Technically / visually:
A ‘steep’ elongated triangle, composed of a (blue) sextile base line of 2 planets (here: LILITH in CAP and NEPTUNE in PI), both pointing together in (green) quincunx to an apex Planet = the MOON / NN in LEO.

Yods are relatively rare (I see them in about 10% of my clients’ charts, and as events).
A Yod is also called ‘Finger of God/ess!’ / ‘Celestial Pointer’.
It is likened to an ‘Inner Journey’ / pilgrimage, an orientation towards the Apex Planet’s theme. It’s not about ‘getting somewhere’ but about the deep experience in the process.

When Yods get activated through planetary transits / progressions life changing events tend to occur. As if destiny points you into a new direction. 

I believe this also being true for an ‘event Yod’, esp. as an Eclipse!
An inner process is being set in motion, for us personally, and for humanity.
Clearly a powerful pointer to regenerate creative Yin / Feminine forces in all of us!
What a celestial Goddess pointer indeed!

What’s involved in this as well?
The Archetypes of the heavenly bodies ‘on the bottom’: 

• LILITH in CAP (‘ahead’ of SATURN) – Being in natural Integrity can be so simple. 
  Doing what works, builds, sustains, what’s a wise use of time and energy.
  Saying no to the rest.
  LILITH btw is more than just the Archetype / stereotype ‘Wild Woman’ (ha, LILITH doesn’t like ‘boxes’, so let’s stop calling ‘her’ Wild Woman!). It’s rather being in our intrinsic (call it ‘wild’) nature, free from conditioning. Basically, being as-Nature (when left alone).
• NEPTUNE in PI – All is connected. All is One.
  If that means on a personal level we’re getting overwhelmed – since we feel so connected / entangled with everything and everyone, being like Ocean, and letting the wind and waves take care of release. Breathing, Yoga, moves certainly help….
• All this feeds into our natural Goddess Strength (LEO FULL MOON).

 

The YOD extends as a ‘Green Kite’ to the SUN / VENUS / SN in AQ – which, in opposition with the MOON / NN is the ‘spine’ of the Kite.
SUN / VENUS / NN is the ‘head’ / direction of the Kite, in this case also in airy AQ!
In other words, as always in Nodal Axis (here even congruent with the Kite axis) the energy received at the North Node (LEO MOON) is being brought / fed back into the South Node (AQ SUN / VENUS):
The LEO / Goddess Power is not just a purrrsonal thing, we need to bring it to community, groups, humanity!
Co-creation for the Future, through coming together in natural Strength, Love, and Radiance.

A few more words about the chart of the Eclipse and present cosmic energy:

• The energy is very ‘fixed’ – Gates of Power activated, through mid-LEO, mid-SCORPIO, and mid-AQ.
  The Power to Love. The Power to Change. The Power to Co-Create.
• NO Planets are presently (until early March) retro – momentum to move forward and manifest.
• MARS has entered SAG on Jan 26 (until March 17):
  Follow the Spirit, the Heart, Intuition, your Truth!
• URANUS in late AR is unaspected (an unpredictability agent…!) – but will be brought into a Fire Trine by the post-ecliptic MOON, on Feb 1, and into another Fire Trine from MARS in SAG, on March 11 (calling us to move forward / upward-onward). In the meantime, expect the unexpected, wake up from the Winter slumber!
• CHIRON in late PI is also unaspected (vulnerability / inter-connectedness / the Medicine of ONE!). It will get activated towards March, as VENUS, MERCURY, and the SUN move through PI. May it ‘just’ hold space for now…!

So close to the Total Lunar Eclipse!

Now, as the daylight hours are getting obviously longer, the middle of Winter is soon reached, as well as the midpoint of AQUARIUS:
We’re celebrating Candlemas, Imbolc / Brigid’s Day and Groundhog Day (Feb 2).

Celtic Wheel of the Year, with the Equinoxes, Solstices and mid-season / cross quarter holidays: Beltane, Luchnassad, Samhain, and Imbolc / Candlemas / Brigid’s Day.

In the Gaelic / Celtic Calendar, Imbolc is one of the 4 fixed ‘Gates of Power’ (see above) of the Zodiac year!

In many areas of the Celtic world, this was the Fire Feast of Brigid the Irish Goddess of hearth and home – yes, more Goddess Celebration!
She is the keeper of the flame, the protector of the home, and a goddess of holy wells and springs. At Imbolc, her many aspects are being acknowledged, especially that of her role as a deity of transformation(!). 
As the world awakes from the dark slumber of Winter, it is time to cast off the chill of the past, and welcome the warmth of Spring.

 

Here in Victoria snow drops and even of the first cherry blossom variety have been sighted!
The ground is greening again (with SOO much rain that has come down…!)

MARS now in SAG (Jan 26 – March 17): Itinerary for the Journey

Yayyy!
MARS ‘made it’ over the ‘Phoenix Point’ (check out this apropos post) –
Coming out from the depths of SCORPIO, arising into the heights of SAG, on Jan 26!

Fiery energy wants to arise now that’s excellent for motivation, enthusiasm, literally travelling, shooting from the Heart, being in your Truth, and aiming high!

MARS gets your inner SAG going, and fired UP!
Got your SUN, MOON, AC, Nodes, or Planets in SAG? These sides / Archetypes in you get a boost of energy over the next weeks!
Even if you don’t have ‘anything there, SAG occupies a certain House in your chart. This area of life gets lit up now; action & movement are ON.

Examples: 
SAG in your 7th House of Partners / Partnerships: Do something fun, heart-ful, and adventurous with your partner, and important people in your life. 
SAG in your 2nd House: Promote your business, finally get that website out, and move yer body!

With SAG, just say YES, and go for it – if the Spirit calls you! It’s called adventure…. Are you motivated to move – freely and spaciously? Time to get going!
Also note that NO PLANETS are RETRO until March 8 – clearly a time to catch the momentum.

MARS now in SAG energizes literally walking, hiking, journeys, and all sorts of sports esp. where legs and eye sight (which SAG the Centaur Archer rules) are crucial.

 

MERCURY was recently retro in SAG (Dec 2 – 22, 2017, with ‘stormy’ times before and after). Where communication went astray MARS now in SAG showsopportunities and brings motivation to get things going in a new way or direction, after having seen the bigger picture.

Also, MARS is in SAG for the first time since 2016 (when it even went retro in SAG, back to SCO – any connections to then?
And MARS is in SAG the first time after SATURN gave us SAG lessons (2015 – 2017), which helps with moving forward where there’s been ‘Fear of Flying’, or holding back from moving forward for reasons that are only now seen.

 

MERCURY was recently retro in SAG (Dec 2 – 22, 2017, with ‘stormy’ times before and after). Where communication went astray / nowhere MARS now in SAG shows an opportunities and motivation to get things going in a new way or direction, after having seen the bigger picture.

Also, MARS in SAG for the first time since 2016 (when it even went retro in SAG – SCO), after SATURN in SAG (2015 – 2017) helps with moving forward where there’s been ‘Fear of Flying’.

Funny – I realized the other day that the matches I’ve been using all along  have a ‘Phoenix’ image – Red Bird!
Goes to show / confirms:
Sometimes, it takes a little ‘synchronicity nudge’ to see with fresh eyes what’s always been there (also very SAG!)! 

SAG is an intuitive energy – if lit up by Spirit!

A moving & uplifting story teller, motivator, and heart-to-heart connector. One who starts a movement…

Just as the SAG Centaur-Archer pulls the arrow first back to the Heart before aiming and shooting / releasing(!) it, let your Heart and Inner Light (see the Hermit with the lantern in the picture?) be ignited, and let they lead your direction!

BE in your Truth, let the Truth set you FREE, and move with your Truth and Trust!

Maybe literally travel or initiate a journey – don’t ‘over plan’ though! -, and have something to look forward to. Go on a pilgrimage, or ‘simply’ move the energy, to free up what might have been stuck, over the Fall and early Winter – or maybe for a long time….

SAG is fun and inspiring – if it doesn’t get too dogmatic about their truth, and stays really open-minded and generous…

My mom in Germany told me on the phone last weekend that the Carnival is in full swing there, with lots ofcomedians giving satire speeches and doing spoofs about politicians and celebrities. Intentional ‘fake news’ with a purpose. A modern version of the medieval Jester – King tradition.
Which is also an AQ – LEO dynamic!
The Court Jester, well aware of what people / commoners were thinking and talking about, was the one conveying the voice of the people to the king, and letting him face ‘the mirror’.
A regulatory function we could use more of these days – with ‘kings’ who have a good sense of humour, and see the value and importance of listening to wise Jesters.

Fired-up and inspired – aim & relate from the Heart, be playful, have FUN!

Feb 16 / 17:
MARS in SAG in Square with the MOON (after the New Moon / Partial Solar Eclipse in AQ on Feb 15) and NEPTUNE in PI.
Move and be moved and connected, in freedom and flow (sounds like surfing to me 🙂 ). And if you feel hurt, how can you let go and release – with love, and compassion – uplevelling your experience too…

Feb 25 / 28:
MARS in SAG in Square with VENUS and MERCURY in PI.
Follow the momentum, and attract in the field of love. Take it easy on agendas and righteousness (yours, theirs), and dance with what-IS.’

March 11: 
MARS in SAG in Fire Trine with URANUS in (MARS ruled) ARIES.
Be the inspired Activist and Innovator! Where could you actualize this potential your life?

March 13 / 14:
MARS in late SAG (the Galactic Centre) – just before entering CAP – in square with CHIRON in late PI.
Discover the Teaching, and find the Medicine that moves you, from your Inner Deep Space.

Happy Australia Day, in the heat of Summer, on Jan 26!

Australia Day is the official National Day of Australia. Celebrated annually on 26 January. It marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British Ships at Port Jackson, New South Wales, and the raising of the Flag of Great Britain at that site by Governor Arthur Phillip.

 

Here’s the 12 noon chart for that day which shows Australia has a lot of AQ energy:  The SUN, PLUTO, VENUS, and SATURN.

MARS Finale in SCO this Week, before it Crosses the ‘Phoenix Point’ and Rises in SAG (Jan 26 – March 17): Upwards-Onwards we GO!

 

MARS, presently at the ‘tail end’ of SCO, will cross over the ‘Phoenix Point’ into SAG on Jan 26 – Yayyyy!

First things first:
MARS is presently at the ‘tail end’ of SCORPIO, with a ‘finale’ this week, as it goes into quincunx with URANUS in late ARIES (the sign MARS rules), on Jan 17, and into deep Water trine with CHIRON in late PISCES on Jan 18:

How can transformation of hidden, sticky, repressed core ‘stuff’ that could have been exposed and ‘seen’ with MARS / JUPITER in early Jan now move and process, through a liberating fresh approach, in ‘baby steps’?
And how can you relax and receive and heal from that place?

Lots of burning and purging has been going on, on deep inner levels for us personally, and big time on collective levels too, since MARS entered SCO, on Dec 9, 2017…
The purge was super boosted round the time when MARS and JUPITER joined forces in SCO, on Jan 6.

MARS in SCO also catalyzed the big PLUTO purge, since PLUTO rules SCO, and PLUTO is also the transpersonal version of MARS (higher power vs. personal power and assertion).
So, we already had our share, and hopefully used the intensity wisely. Maybe it takes some time to process and integrate what’s been going on. JUPITER in SCO until Nov 8 certainly helps with this.

Have you noticed more energetic support in flushing out what came up, and needs to be eliminated and transformed, since MARS is now at the end of SCO (since mid-January), and will go into trine with CHIRON this week?

What’s been ‘poking and provoking’ us, even though it could have created conflict, and might feel fierce, is actually also good medicine for transformation and empowerment.

What’s next?

As MARS crosses over the ‘Phoenix Point’ from SCORPIO to SAG, on Jan 26, let its fiery energy burn off what you’re not, and give you a boost into rebirth! 

What needs to be purged in your life, esp. in the area related to the house where SCO / SAG is in your chart?
Maybe you have Planets, Sun, Moon, or AC there?
Be in touch, if you could use supportive pointers, or an Astro Boost!

Once MARS will be in SAG, a fiery energy comes into the system that’s excellent for motivation, enthusiasm, literally travelling, shooting from the Heart, being in your Truth, and aiming high.

Just watch for the shadow expressions of turning your fight for a cause into an argumentative and righteous endeavor / mission.
Yes, you’ve come through a lot, and you know now…

VENUS and the SUN enter AQUARIUS (Jan 17 & 19), and MERCURY follows on Jan 31: Prometheans & Light Leaders, Unite, in Cooperation!

AQUARIAN Times Ahead!

Right after the late CAPRICORN New Moon (Jan 16 at 6:17 pm PST), first VENUS (on Jan 17 at 5:54 PST), and then the SUN (on Jan 19 at 7:09 pm PST) cross over the ‘Prometheus Point’, and enter AQUARIUS!

VENUS will be in AQ not quite a month, until Feb 10.
The SUN will be in AQ as ‘usual’ from Jan 19 – Feb 18.

This year, the AQ season will see also AQ Eclipses, as the South Node is in AQ – until Nov.
There’ll be a Total Lunar (Jan 31) and a Partial Solar Eclipse (Feb 15 – also the eve of the Chinese New Year).

After a phase with SO much EARTH, and NO AIR (except for the MOON) since mid-Dec(!), in the Astro-elemental realm, AQ is a welcome and uplifting energy, as the most solid & rocky Earth of CAP turns into Aquarian AIR.

A Swiss client of mine who was born on this CAP – AQ cusp literally climbs up mountains, with his parachute / flying device, to glide around and down. He describes this as his ultimate Freedom.
On this cusp, we might have ‘done the work’ / accomplished our purpose (if that’s ever possible), and feel FREE.

Prometheus – the Archetype of Uranus – Bringing the Fire of the Gods to Humanity

Mythological Prometheus climbed up Mount Olympus, seat of the gods / the elite, to bring the fire of illumination to humanity (was punished though by the gods, and only an encounter with  Wounded Healer Chiron who acknowledged that everyone should have access to ‘the fire’ set him free).

So yeah, if you have Planets / AC / Nodes on that cusp you might identify with this story, and also be here to dedicate ‘your work’ to the liberation of humanity.
Esoterically it’s called Light (AQ) Worker (CAP).
I like Light Leader better – leading by example (CAP), rather than doing the work ‘for them’.

And here we realize that our own work and achievements only go this far.
Cooperation in Community of Light Leaders is key.
VENUS, and then the SUN in AQ help us attract others who’re also doing their work, and would be good matches for us, for cooperation, community building, and  convergence of communities.

Maybe some of these contacts have already been activated… happened for me lately where I was asked by 3 community leaders to engage in cooperation with them – yay!

The AIR is thin, in those great and established heights, and it’s cool out there.
I.o.w., in the old (!) world hierarchical, patriarchal paradigm – which thankfully is changing, complements PLUTO in CAP – it’s been an ‘elite’ place that’s a) hard to access, and b) there might not be many good matching people out there, and c) they’ve already established their system, and their circles.
Hope you don’t buy into this anymore, because: The times, they are a-changing. 

With VENUS leading on, and the SUN following into AQ this week, it would be good to expose yourself to groups and networks that you’re genuinely interested in cooperating with, to increase the odds for meeting ‘them’.
So much easier nowadays with the Aquarian online web world! 

 

URANUS Rules AQUARIUS

By the way, I’m being asked quite often, and you might wonder too:

Is the AQUARIUS AGE already here? Or when does it start?

No clear-cut ‘correct’ answer for this.
Yes, according to the astronomical calculations the AQ Age starts when the Spring Equinox point will move (always backwards, and very, very gradually) out of PISCES and into AQ – apparently in the year 2597 – faaaar ahead.

But for one thing, there are ‘overlaps’ in the constellations.
And there are other indications, besides the ‘mere’ calculations.

Over the last 20 years, we’ve seen a ‘preview’ of what the AQ age could be about:

• URANUS and NEPTUNE were united in AQ in the late 1990’s – they have 84- and 165-year cycle, and a conjunction in AQ is super rare.
  What happened then?
  Personal computers became accessible for everyone, and the Internet took off, and changed our social, communicative, and work world forever. In the meantime, the Internet is omnipresent, in any area of life!
• PLUTO (with its 248-year cycle) will go into AQ in 2023 / 24.
  There’s a big time AQ Evolution coming up. 
  Looks like Humanity really gotta and can cooperate much more than ever. Since things get intense and extreme with PLUTO, we can also see a lot of alienation and encapsulation, social awkwardness, and other side effects of the technological self-sufficiency…
  Endeavours of replacing humans with robots will increase, and perhaps a massive ‘Space Age’ will break out, with settlements on other Planets, if Earth becomes uninhabitable – whoooaah!

Let’s already / any time work and create with the AQ energy optimally, be innovative (Uranus / Prometheus, the AQ related Planetary Archetype loves that), connect with like-spirited others in high-level integrity, and cooperate in community to co-create into the future, a future ON Planet Earth, I’d propose.

 

Next UP, this Year and Month:

MERCURY will also pay AQ a visit, between Jan 31 and Feb 17 – when, as a grand finale, it aligns with the SUN, just before both enter PISCES.

MERCURY is ‘exalted’ in AQ – the energy it can operate best in:
Our thinking can be more systemic and out-of-the-box, crystal clear and detached, concerned with the greater good, forward-thinking, team-mind, brain storming, aiming at cooperative, innovative solutions.

 

MARS will be this year for a very long time in AQ this year:
May 15 – Aug 15, and Sept 10 – Nov 15!
Why so long?
Because of the MARS retro phase from June 26 – Aug 27 (back into end of CAP).
What are endeavours that really serve the system, the greater good, and humanity???

Yep, that’s it – as much as it gets – pretty much until 2020.
Who are the ‘Players’?
SUN (the ‘season’, until Jan 19 / 20), MOON (since today Jan 14, until just after the CAP New Moon on Jan 16 / 17), MERCURY (Jan 10 – 31), VENUS (Dec 24 – Jan 17), LILITH (Nov 8, 2017 – Aug 5, 2018), SATURN (Dec 19 / 20, 2017 – Dec 17, 2020), and PLUTO (2008 /09 – 2023 / 24)!

Looks like a Big Call for Integrity from the Ground-UP.

How has your New Year started?
Maybe still with a lots of residual energy from 2017?
Maybe with clearing some of the ‘Holiday effects’?
You’re not alone.

Yes, it’s true, the SuperSuper FULL MOON in CAN / CAP aligned so beautifully with the Gregorian New Year of January 1. 
However, Full Moon energy isn’t about Newness but about ‘Fruition’ – esp. this one:
A Super build-up of the weeks round Christmas, and perhaps of the whole year 2017 – which has taken so many of us, personally, in relationships, as nations (the U.S.), countries (catastrophes!) through the ‘fire’ / ‘storm’.

The CANCER Full Moon belly was such a womb energy.
The waning phase over the last 2 weeks, after such a big time build-up, and with the help of the PLUTO in CAP ‘midwife’, has ‘delivered’ deep stuff through the ‘birth canal’ of transformation. It’s been quite the purge too, with PLUTO ‘in charge’. 

Since PLUTO is the key & core ‘Player’ and in CAP the longest (2008 – 2024), pointing to the deeper evolution that’s going on on Planet Earth and in us internally.
So, what’s the effect of each other planetary body passing PLUTO?

 

So let’s first do an Astro Inventory (very Capricornian anyway) about the Planetary Players and their Transformation through PLUTO.

VENUS and the SUN in CAP passed PLUTO on Jan 9, and just 15 hrs before the New Moon, on Jan 16, the CAP MOON will pass PLUTO too. 
It’s an initiation process with PLUTO in CAP.
And yep, it gets intense as / so that it changes…
While (because?) the Shadow and all sort of ‘old gunk’ gets cleared and purified (PLUTO), the Best of these Inner Archetypes in their Integrity (CAP) can come out:

SUN – Spirit, Consciousness, Vital Energy:

• What does it takes for your energy to operate best?
• What’s ‘counterproductive’ and (hopefully) on the way out?
• What brings you energy?
• What brings you closer to Essence?

VENUS – Attraction, Magnetism, Reflection in Relationships:

• Do you attract / do they show you your Best, or your Shadow?
• How can you bring Love, the Big Transformer, into the picture?

MOON – Sensitivity, Somatic Cycles, Emotions, Needs:

• How do you honour (CAP) our emotions and needs?
• How do you align with the energy of the month, nurture (MOON) and sustain (CAP) yourself?
• It is a low energy before / round the New Moon – maybe you need lots of Rest & Regeneration…?
• The one New Moon in CAP of the year: The world seems to resonate with, or at least emotionally reflect your CAP themes (like: need for integrity, simplicity, building a good foundation, being in tune with the Spirit of the Time / Zeitgeist, working with Nature – rather than against it….).
• PLUTO as an ‘Initiation Chamber’ for the NEW MOON (with VENUS) helps us get aligned with what truly, simply, essentially matters, and ‘works best’.
  Call it Being as Nature, call it the The Power of Love.

MERCURY  – Mind, Thought Forms, Communication:
MERCURY in CAP will pass PLUTO on Jan 24: 

• Mental ‘clutter’ of the CAP kind (abusive / self abusive, judgmental, fear / control mechanisms…) can come ‘up and out’ to process.
• Hidden agenda in govern-mental structures can come out (more? oh yeah…).
• An excellent time to practice deep inquiry into the core of your being – and live from there, one step / breath / minute at a time.

The SUN, MERCURY, and VENUS pass PLUTO yearly, the MOON monthly.
Yet, nowadays / now-a-years, there’s more going on in CAP where PLUTO sits:

LILITH – ‘Wild Woman’, actually: Being in our True ‘Wild Nature’.
LILITH is now also in CAP (until Aug 2018), and will pass PLUTO in mid-May (only every 10 years). The themes are already building up:

• Being as-Nature is so simple. We don’t need all the ‘stuff’ (materialism, status symbols…) that’s been ‘sold’ to us by those who benefit from the consumer society and ‘ego system’.
• Less is more is empowering. Less to buy / more to create / grow, re-purpose, up-cycle, share brings more Life and Soul into the World.
• Rather than resisting / protesting against authorities (and thereby feeding them energy and still being the ‘adolescent’), how about letting the Inner Adult and Mature Wise One (CAP) step up and coach us into a transformation from within which can spread like wildfire?!

MARS – Warrior: Assertion. MARS is in CAP exalted (strongest sign for MARS): Strength, Stamina, Endurance, Persistence, Perseverance.
MARS will be in CAP this year too, March 17 to May 15, and again (due to retro) Aug 15 to Sept 10).
MARS will pass PLUTO (every about 2 years) on Apr 26 – while PLUTO will be stationary (going retro on Apr 22). Quite the intense transit.

• When we need to get through things we also have energy and resources (we don’t have to ‘do it alone’) that are required, step by step.
• An excellent time for a big project that requires perseverance, and builds character.

Eventually in 2020, SATURN and JUPITER, both in CAP (SATURN just entered, JUPITER in 2020), will pass PLUTO:
Deep & huge societal / structural / economic ‘make-over’.
The energy is building towards this, esp. with SATURN now in CAP. Being in our own mastery, authority and responsibility, having good boundaries, and not taking too much on – all this helps moving things forward to where evolution goes anyway.

The Group of SEVEN in CAP?!

VENUS is about to leave CAP for AQ the day after the New Moon Work Party, i.o.w., on Jan 17.
And so does the SUN, on Jan 19.

That’s the ‘Prometheus Point’ a.k.a. Community Building Point as I like to call the CAP – AQ cusp.
I.o.w., how can our energy and consciousness (SUN) go to the next level, from the CAP world of Leading from Integrity to attracting (VENUS), cooperating, and Co-creating in Community (AQ)?
A few things to keep in mind:

• We are magnets (VENUS) for the energy we give off.
  Our habits create patterns and structures that build up (CAP). 
• How does life and how do relationships that you attract reflect back what you are, and engage in? 
• How committed are you to taking responsibility (SATURN) for your relationship attractions (VENUS), and to recognizing when they are complete, and the lessons learned (SATURN)? 
• How can you transform everything you attract into Love (PLUTO – VENUS), and see its Higher / Deeper Purpose (PLUTO in CAP)? 
• Big Things require Cooperation (AQ) of good and competent people (CAP) who are complementary (VENUS).
  What are communities you are engaging in more now?

The main tension / stress / action inducing aspect of the CAP NEW MOON is a square from the NEW MOON and VENUS to URANUS in late ARIES.
It was already exact for the SUN and VENUS last weekend (Jan 13 / 14), and for the MOON it will be exact on the 16th.

So yeah, more shocks and awe in relation to govern-mentals, and others in responsible positions acting a wee bit, or very, cuckoo?
Could well be. Could we have imagined a year ago how much public craziness can be out and up there???
And, a more constructive question: 
Can the energy be expressed in a better way? That’s always my notion with understanding the astrological, archetypal messages in their symbolism and language….

Yay, sure, if we emancipate (URANUS) ourselves more from ‘the big boss/es’ (CAP), are innovative (UR in AR), and in self sufficient authority (CAP).
The Times they are a-changing, says PLUTO and now also SATURN in CAPRICORN.

Right NOW, the square can also be expressed by ‘giving birth’ to experimenting (UR in AR) with new, more productive, and sustaining (CAP) ways of Being and Living. Let’s be creative!

Since URANUS went direct (technically on Jan 2, more noticeable now, as it’s coming into gear), until March 8 when JUPITER goes retro – well, let’s say, because of the stationary phase, until end of Feb!
What’s that good for (asks the CAP voice, ha-ha)?

Well, things move forward now, and can manifest more easily.
A student asked me in an Astrology course meeting last week, “Does that mean things go well now?”
Good point. And important to clarify:
Forward-motion doesn’t necessarily mean things go ‘well’. When the ‘catalyst’ planets URANUS, NEPTUNE, and PLUTO show up, things can get ‘messed up’, esp. when we act ‘against the cosmic grain’, yet it leads to much needed change.
That’s why it’s good to be aware of what these archetypal energies that the planets represent ‘want’, and how to be ‘on better terms’ with them…
For example:
URANUS in ARIES says: Just try it out, and see what happens. There are no mistakes, showing up, esp. for yourself is what matters. CAP makes sure it all stays ethical.

In the forward course of things now, whatever has been held you back, can you see the deeper dynamics of it (JUPITER in SCO)?

Can you take even just baby goat steps (CAP Planets and New Moon), and try out a new and perhaps surprising approach (URANUS in ARIES)?

SO much going on with PLUTO (as the SUN and VENUS meet it today – transformation in our Consciousness and Values – attracting and modelling Integrity, and bringing out our Best!), and MARS – JUPITER in SCO the sign of PLUTO – big purge, and desire to go into the depth….

We’ve come a long way, since it all ‘started’, mid-Nov (pre-retro ‘shadow’). So much clearer and wiser now…
MERCURY crosses the ‘Integrity Point’ from SAG to CAP.
Time to walk the talk, and build the change.

JAN 12: MERCURY conjunct SATURN (#2 of 2) – in early CAP.
Nice time for a new ‘contract with yourself’ (or with others).

JAN 16: MERCURY conjunct LILITH in early CAP.
What does ‘Being in Your True Nature’ translate into, on the ground level of ‘real life’?

Have you noticed? Lots of things come into motion these days, and wake-up calls lead to breakthroughs!
Dynamic start-up energies with URANUS going direct again (since Jan 2) in ARIES kick us out of old conditioning.
WAKE UP, People!
Time to give ourselves permission to Break Free from old, heavy, slow, conditioned consciousness, and into liberated initiatives.

 

Show up authentically, get started, and BE YOU!

With a liberated consciousness Synchronicities and Epiphanies happen!

And since there’s NO Planet retrograde now, until early March it’s an excellent phase for dynamic manifestation, and for building based on vision and integrity (SATURN out of SAG, and now in CAP).

MARS in SCORPIO meets JUPITER on Jan 6, and both will be in sextile with SUN / VENUS / PLUTO in CAP on Jan 8/9: Diving into the Alchemy!

MARS and JUPITER are very close to each other now, and will be exactly aligned tomorrow Jan 6 – every 2 years!

It all happens in deep and mysterious  SCORPIO (which MARS likes, and ‘used to’ rule, before PLUTO came along, and claimed its underworld domain – MARS is still co-ruler).

MARS / JUPITER give a lot of energy, esp. for ‘bravely’ diving into depth, intimacy, inner processing, research, and anything that benefits from change through going to the core of things.

Furthermore, on Jan 8 / 9, VENUS will align with the SUN and PLUTO in CAP, and the trio will go into sextile with MARS / JUPITER in SCO!
Life on Earth is magical – just a matter of seeing and appreciating it. The gifts of Nature are bountiful, and she ‘straightens us out’ in a good way 🙂

URANUS has been in ‘turnaround storm’ already throughout Dec (we were just so focused on MERCURY’s retro trip….).
When that happens, the Archetype becomes a focal point.

URANUS is the Archetype of Prometheus the Awakener, bringing ‘Freedom from the Known’, or simply ‘Freedom that has no Opposite’.

 ‘Wild Card’ URANUS in late ARIES has been unaspected under the New Year’s  SuperSuper FULL MOON….
The CANCER MOON will go into square with it on Jan 2, as well as into Water Trine with CHIRON in late PI (also unaspected presently), which can bring instability, yet also beautiful miracles and synchronicities, and shakes things up in a healing way.

On the same day, URANUS goes from retro (since early Aug 2017) direct / forward from Earth perspective.
Fires early Aug, icy temperatures now, here on the North American continent…
URANUS is related to weather patterns and systems – shows when systems are ‘out of whack’.

Definitely room for wake-up calls, unpredictabilities, surprises, even shocks (there’s been a wave of those in the news lately…), and out-of-the-ordinary experiences.
Yet also and foremost, an Awakening from our daily ‘slumber mode’, and into full-on Presence with what IS. Presence in the NOW.

URANUS is one of the big news makers of 2018:
It will (temporarily) change signs (only every 7 years), and go from ARIES (since 2011) into TAURUS, on May 15 until Nov 6, 2018).
On March 6, 2019, URANUS will fully enter TAURUS (until 2025 / 26).

What’s that about?
Earth Changes?
Changes in the Economy? In the monetary system?
Chances are, yes and yes and yes.

And with URANUS, it’s always about expect the unexpected.

So we definitely hear more about URANUS in Spring.

Retro Free Phase!

And once URANUS goes out of retro (on Jan 2) there will be a phase without a major Planet retrograde until early March (JUPITER) and end of March (MERCURY) – woohoo!
A good time to start the year with outer manifestations which can accelerate quite magically these days (propelled by URANUS in ARIES).
