We’re in early VIRGO Season (with CAP undertone) now.

Health & wellness for all Beings as for Mother Earth are in calamity & major distress, and a big concern.

How does this crisis call us into Service to our Highest Purpose?

…which shows again:
The zodiacal energies don’t indicate where ‘all is good’ (personally, interpersonally, systemically, collectively) but where the issues are.
Yet also where the solution can be found, intrinsically, a la ‘like heals like’ (similar to the homeopathic approach).

A big misconception of Astrology by critics, making simplistic assumptive or even dismissive, discrediting judgments, along the lines:
“They’re ‘a Virgo’ and supposed to be a health & wellness freak but they’re SO not.” – with the conclusion: “So Astrology is humbug”.

The Zodiac sign of the solar season you’re born under shows where and how Spirit & Consciousness became alive – through YOU. Your job (in Virgo language) is to become aware of it, live from it, express this gift consciously – which can be a life long journey towards / with…

Btw, there’s no such thing as ‘A Virgo’, ‘A Pisces’…
which is pretty clear to those of you reading this blog, lol…
Looks like the upcoming GEM – VIRGO square makes me voice this prologue – maybe rather inspiring YOUR discussions with friends.

Another distortion of Astrology: To simplify and go by the Sun sign ‘version’ of it, popularized through media, put humans into 12 (or 13 if you include Ophiucus) categories, and exploit this ‘concept’.
I felt uncomfortable about this from the onset of my exposure to Astrology, long time ago, it made me skeptical, and: eager to explore the depth of the ancient art, and to transcend this surface pop level.

Deep gratitude for my courage & curiosity to follow that calling, and for all Astrology has revealed, and assisted me and sooo many clients over the last decades!

We all have infinitely intricate patterns of cosmic energies in us – always more to explore, always more mystery & awe.
Discernment, awareness of intricacy, and service in / to integrity in wellness & wholeness…
Now, that’s so apropos the VIRGO energy.

VIRGO & GEMINI, Activated via New Moon & MARS

The New Moon will initiate, catalyze, and boost MARS – now freshly (since Aug 20) in GEMINI – which is all about Finding Our Voice, Speaking Up, Being the Alchemists!

Can’t miss that NM – MARS square, exact just 6 hrs before, and feeding into, the New Moon.
You can see it also in the NM chart below, of course.
A square is even a ‘Martian’ aspect – it hits, expresses & releases tension.

With all the (mental) dualities and polarizations in the human realm… how ‘do’ we alchemize the opposites into wholeness?

The media (mainstream / ‘legacy’ / social…) – largely owned / influenced by corporations -, ruled by NEPTUNE (since 2012 in PISCES (what a media inundation since then!), and activated by the next Full Moon / Harvest Moon, on Sept 10), play a big role in the ‘collective illusion’ / contagious & confusing manipulation game.

VIRGO asks us to engage our critical, rational, practical faculties & (un?)common sense, listen to direct feedback from the body and its notion of wellness – and, with MARS in GEM (like VIR ruled by MERCURY) so actively involved: to voice what’s UP.

Also cosmically catalyzed by the NEW MOON – must be in perfect alignment!
SIX Planets are currently retro, since URANUS joined the club this week (Aug 24).

With MERCURY freshly in LIBRA going retro Sept 9 – Oct 2, it’ll be SEVEN for those 22 full days of M-r.

Lots of sticky karmic residues can come up with this – ready to be cleared w. conscious awareness, and washed away…

The discerning VIRGO New Moon widely opposite NEPTUNE retro in PISCES, and MARS in GEM calling things out, can help us address these inner ‘parts of us’ – usually projected onto ‘them’.
T.b.c. with the upcoming PISCES – VIRGO Harvest Moon (with MOON -NEPTUNE!) on Sept 10.

Integration with VIRGO

A NEW MOON is always a threshold from Integrating / Releasing the Old, to Embracing / Conceiving / Planting Seeds of the NEW.

Integrating the height of central Summer, offering gratitude for the season’s gifts that give us the noble work of harvesting the bounty (on all levels), and being in continuous service to Mother Earth is apropos VIRGO.

Integrating the passionate LEO season, activated by the last New Moon, the Guru Purnima, on July 28, which also initiated the Mayan New Year of the Red Self Existing Moon (July 26, 2022 – July 24, 2023),

Purifying (with) VIRGO

On a personal, interpersonal-relational, and societal level, with the Dark-before-New Moon in VIRGO, old energy that doesn’t serve anymore can come as shadow to the forefront of awareness (maybe painfully so), to be transmuted & upgraded into a healthier, more functional, and purer vibration.

Therefore, here’s a VIRGOan ‘check list’ of ‘V symptoms’ which might show their not-so-pretty face now in us, esp. when we’re stressed, or tap into old, traumatized, unhealed parts in us. Calling to be RE-leased, while, with ‘Like heals Like’, brought to higher vibrational VIRGO equivalents:

The VIRGO Journey is about Alignment of the Human Self with Cosmic Consciousness

…through awareness, spiritual practice, and / or acts of service.

The MOON is the esoteric ruler of VIRGO – represented as the Sacred Feminine / Priestess / Virgin / Mother Mary, and the Harvest Goddesses.

We’re all called to do our sacred work and practice, in this Body-Temple and Temple of Here-Now, and harvest its fruits in inner fulfillment.

May the Sacred Feminine inspire us to be in inner Alignment with /as Spirit-in-Form, and do the sacred work WE’re here to do, in intrinsic wellness!

MERCURY, ruler of VIR, now freshly in LIBRA (see chart below) where it’ll go retro on Sept 9, re-minds us of making well-informed choices –
Better after an important process to check back in, on how certain specific factors / parts / details are in alignment (when it goes retro back to VIR, Sept 23, and direct from end of VIR on Oct 2) – w/o being too perfectionistic (a tendency that can come out to be seen during this upcoming M-r).

Here is the Chart for the VIRGO New MOON 

Exact at 1:17 am PDT tomorrow Aug 27
The SUN – MOON union shows up on the midnight point of the chart (since it would be 12:17 am PST).

As you see, the NEW MOON in early VIRGO is in exact square w. MARS in early GEM, and also in wide opposition to the midpoint between SATURN retro in AQ & NEPTUNE retro in PI. 
So there’s a wide T-square energy in the Air.
Lots of nervous stress & tension that calls for a healthy release.

The exact square to MARS from the SUN & MOON will be from the SUN less than 3 hrs, and from the MOON just 6 min before New Moon!

Sharp tensions round

• Being upset / angry (MARS) / outspoken (GEM), when it comes to issues / problems, esp. relating to health & work (VIR)

• Being eager to learn (MARS in GEM) & practice (VIR) what makes our larger and smaller worlds a better place (VIR)

• Learning (GEM) comes from doing (MARS) / practice / experience (VIR) – quite the initiation.

Sooo much mental-nervous-argumentative energy in the atmosphere.
Good to channel the conflict into getting things sorted out & organized, when it comes to info & ‘practical stuff’, and keep learning-by-doing.

The SUN – SATURN opposition was on Aug 14, and the SUN – NEPTUNE opposition will be on Sept 16.
The VIRGO New Moon brings it together…
A polarity between

• The (ideally aware) Self in sovereignty & wellness (LEO – VIR), and
  
• Society, the Zeitgeist, and the collective energy field (AQ – PI), with its restrictive-stringent-guarded-fearful, yet also lessons bearing (SATURN) and overwhelming-confusing, yet also unifying (NEPTUNE) effects.

To ‘simplify’, let’s look at the VIRGO – PISCES axis, what it’s about, and has to offer…
Also since SATURN’s trend is to go into PISCES(!), on March 8, 2023 (yep, we’re entering the last 1/2 year of SATURN in AQ, since 2020).

… from the VIRGO side:
Being in our ‘Temple’ of alignment with our true, holistic Nature, doing our wellness practice, and using this precious life time to dedicate our gifts and skills to make the world a better place.
I.o.w., offering Sacred Service.
Practically speaking, pointing out issues & offering solutions.

VIRGO is also about digesting experiences, ordering & organizing.
In the body, it rules the small intestines.

… from the PISCES realm…
– which is all-encompassing, and nothing needs to be ‘done’ – our ‘job’ is, rather let our ego attachment to a certain outcome get out of the way, be open, surrender, be available, allow, flow, hold space, or simply: BE present.

In our embodiment, PISCES rules the immune system, our aura, energy field, the subtle bodies and chakras (as a field).

What a combo of both VIRGO and PISCES could look like:

• Ride the waves, immerse in being ‘in your element’.

• Your skills are what comes easy.

• Holding space for others may be the best service you can offer.

• Clean up / do work while playing music.

• Energy Medicine. AstroSomatics.

• Sacred Geometry, and Sacred Temples in the Field aka Crop Circles

• The cosmic & sacred art of Astrology, and its practical, embodied benefits

• Being in the world, yet not of the world. Doing what needs to be done, yet not in attachment.

• God helps those who help themselves. Doing our share, and trusting divine intervention / assistance.

• Random acts of kindness & service bring fulfillment.

BALANCE is the way to go, or rather to BE

In the mutable energy (only the NN and not really stabilizing URANUS are in a fixed sign, TAU, esp. once VENUS moves out of LEO too, on Sept 4) and ‘whirlwind’ of things (let alone the current URANIAN and upcoming MERCURY ‘Storm’ – the latter from Sept 2 on -), no wonder the swirling energies can SO kick us off balance.

How can we infuse a situation where ‘problems’ show up (or rather: where things are not aligned for us – VIRGO) – with flow, allowance, and vibes of acceptance & love (PISCES), which might mean: release, and let go & let God/dess…

Let Soul Power lead – says PLUTO retro in late CAP (w. VIRGO undertone – a recurring theme related to the NM early VIR, w. CAP undertone), and be in alignment with your inner assignment. Help Yourself, and show up with your best capacities at this critical time.

Speaking of / to D.I.Y. VIRGO –
The trend actually goes toward collaboration – esp. since JUPITER & SATURN aligned at Winter Solstice 2020 on the 1st degree of AQ, to start a new 20-year socio-political-economic cycle. 

So let’s cultivate & harvest (VIRGO) our best skills & capacities (PLUTO in late CAP these years, w. VIRGO undertone) – to bring them into group synergy!

We’re all created as carriers of equal value and dignity – in diversity.

Yep, it’s work in progress, given the ever so insidious divisive tendencies & narratives in the public / media field.

This affirming message though can help us with being continuously inspired to build the Culture forward – together in a shared & innovative & evolutionary Aquarian Brotherhood & Sisterhood.

No need to be swayed by trendy slogans in that regard – esp. if they’re not really in service of the cause but self-serving to a specific interest group.
“Whom does this serve?” – yet another VIRGO discernment initiation…

In gratitude for this symbol – which in its ‘simplicity’ has so much to it, and is so timelessly timely.

Can’t close this post for the VIRGO New Moon without pointing out:

The quite mutable, changeable, flexible energy that She activates presently will first become even more mutable, with the PI – VIR Full Moon (w. NEPTUNE) on Sept 10.
By then, VENUS will be also in VIR (from Sept 4 on).

With MERCURY already in LIBRA (Aug 25 – Sept 23 & Oct 10 – 29) – so important to Cultivate Equanimity in the Storm & Find Balance Within.

The SUN will enter LIBRA with the Fall Equinox, on Sept 23, followed by VENUS, on Sept 29 – they’ll bring new impulses into the ‘equation’ – and for choices.

The LIBRA New Moon on Sept 25, and AR – LI FM on Oct 9 will have much more cardinal energy, plus PLUTO in CAP will go out of retro on Oct 8, showing how internally cultivated power can show up as power-to-change in the ‘outside world’.

Goes to show, the VIRGO NM is in various ways about transitions.

Hopefully transitions into a better alignment with, and practice of, what keeps us healthy, well, and in integrity on all levels, so that we can do what we’re here to do, in these ever so critical and historic years.

MERCURY in LIBRA (Aug 25 – Sept 23 & Oct 10 – 29 / retro from Sept 9 on) – Cultivating Equanimity in the Storm & Finding Balance Within

All orga-nice-d, dear Cosmo-Terrestrial Friends?

VIRGO season is in full swing…
…via MERCURY already since Aug 4 / 5, and since the SUN crossed over the ‘Sphinx Point’ from LEO to VIRGO, on Aug 22, and will be fully initiated via the VIRGO New Moon, on Aug 27.

How have you been in alignment (sooo critical for VIRGO) with the available energy?

Maybe, like myself, you’re also using these late summery / harvest days, with so much Retro Energy kicking in, also for an inventory at your work space and in your household:

• What’s useful, works best logistically, and is well designed & aesthetic?
• What’s really a good match for your needs & lifestyle?
• What needs clearing?

MARS has recently moved into GEMINI – also ruled by MERCURY, like VIRGO is – (exactly on Aug 20 – until March 26 – SO long, due to its retro phase, all in GEM, Oct 30 – Jan 13), which can turn into a hot & outspoken / contentious Fall & Winter. Much potential for conflict and violence, verbally and physically, and verbal triggering physical. 

De-escalating and negotiation are critical, at this time, to preserve / restore peace, fairness, justice, balance, esp. in the social / societal context.

That’s where MERCURY in LIBRA comes in…

MERCURY enters equanimous LIBRA on Aug 25…

…where the ‘Messenger’ might(!) dance around, fence- or bridge-sit, choose, decide, and re-decide forever.

29 + 19 days – super long for the usually swift one – averaging only 3 – 4 weeks in a sign – , until Oct 29 altogether(!).

The length is due to its upcoming retro loop, from early LIBRA to late VIRGO, Sept 9 – Oct 2.

Showing us, what gets us out of balance and what’s the technique / alignment that gets us back into a balanced & peaceful mind.
Which is the best place to make a wise, well informed choice from.

I call the VIR – LIBRA cusp (which MERCURY crosses 3 times, in forward-backward-forward mode (Aug 25 M-d, Sept 23 M-r, Oct 10 M-d) the ‘Design Point’ – where functionality & beauty, health & harmony, self sufficiency & relatedness meet. 
One could also call it ‘Feng Shui Point’.

In our current socio-political situation, MERCURY this late Summer / Fall on the VIR – LIBRA transition re-minds us to address critical health & related issues (VIRGO), in fair, equitable, well-considered ways (LIBRA), and to make important choices (LI) that are in alignment with our health, overall wellness, and integrity (VIR).
The VIRGO New Moon (on Aug 27) certainly concurs, and sets the tone.

MERCURY in LIBRA for a substantial time (48 days altogether), and in retro motion wrapping around the Equinox, shows:
Golden opportunities present signals to re-think our choices, to wait until we have more info / intel about critical issues / details (VIR), and then make well-informed decisions.

Fairness & Balance is also about win-win – a matter of negotiation, or re-negotiation.

And where there’s no agreement available, it’s good to agree to disagree, and respect one another in this.

MERCURY will be the SEVENTH Planet to go retro this Late Summer / early Fall

Whoa – yes, the Retro Record of 2022 will be ON when MERCURY is in reverse gear, from early LIBRA to late VIRGO.

The key is to go inwards, and re-source from within.

Mediating Messenger MERCURY in LIBRA, in its 2nd, post-retro phase, Oct 10 – 29, after having re-newed itself (‘New MERCURY’ on Sept 22 – Fall Equinox! – from them on following the SUN – mind follows Spirit) will facilitate other Planets’ Shifts & Turning Points:

PLUTO in CAP goes direct on Oct 8 (just before MERCURY re-enters LIBRA, on Oct 10).
Showing up empowered, transformed, and evolved, from within.

SATURN in AQ goes direct on Oct 22.
Intrinsic authority strengthens boundaries, and immunity to societal judgment and division.

MARS in in GEM (ruled by MERCURY) goes retro on Oct 30 (just after MERCURY leaves LIBRA, on Oct 29).
Warrior is back-tracking – RE-calibrating the Inner Masculine.
Addressing unfinished communication conflicts.
RE-activating writing projects.

JUPITER retro re-enters (from ARIES) PISCES, on Oct 27 (until Dec 20, when it fully enters ARIES).
RE-immersion into the field of infinite possibilities.

VENUS (coming from LIBRA) enters SCO, on Oct 29.
Diving IN, with Love.

Alchemist / Mediator MERCURY in LIBRA post-retro helps – as we’re called to stay in balance & equanimity in these turnaround ‘Storms’ and shifts – while it’ll be also hurricane season.
Always reminding us: The mind is one thing. Life IS.

What’s with all these outstanding / upcoming / recurring choices and decisions?

For many of us, LIBRAN weighing of pros & cons, for personal, interpersonal / relational, and societal choices abound, and are coming up (again? retro) this late Summer / early Fall.
What tips the scales?

Last year’s early Canadian federal ‘snap’ elections happened on Sept 20, 2021 – day of the Harvest Full Moon – , and federal elections in Germany (Bundestagswahlen), on Sept 26, 2021 – both under MERCURY in LIBRA, in pre-retro ‘storm’ (which was exactly between Sept 20 – 26!).

Lots of political & societal shifts & twists & turns did happen, in both countries since their elections last Sept.
Will thus far unknown information about fairness, balance (LIBRA), and details (VIRGO) about the election processes, results, formed coalitions, or about strategies (VIR – LI) that influenced the call for early Cdn election re-emerge, under this M-r process, during the anniversary season?

Almost 2 years ago, on Nov 3, 2020, MERCURY went out of retro on the DAY of the U.S. presidential elections! What a chaos ensued…! Maybe even relevant info / intel in that regard will re-surface?
The U.S. are going through their PLUTO Return – first in history, since 1776 – peaking, or rather: dipping, this year.
Where’s the American Evolution going?

Bottom line:
Otherwise hidden / unaddressed info and questions tend to come out under M-r too.
Which can in LIBRA literally relate to elections, to any choices (apparently) made, and to all matters of equality and justice.
In a wide scope (personally, interpersonally, societally…), where balance, equality, equations, right relationship, contracts, agreements, fairness, and justice haven’t been observed in the first place they need to be corrected under MERCURY retro in LIBRA / VIRGO.

The Astro~Weather is a cosmic climate, an atmosphere.
It doesn’t create / determine your experience, (as ‘old school’ Astrology would claim).
We’re co-creating with our perceptions (VIR) and choices (LIBRA). 
YES, choices – a LIBRAn theme!

If you were born in the PLUTO in LIBRA generation (1971 – 1984) you prob. know a bit (a LOT) about the Power of Choice. 
And for everyone with LIBRA accentuated, and all of us in our LIBRAn House, choices are important.

Have you checked lately which choices (LIBRA) are in alignment (VIR) for you, are healthy & working well, under MERCURY in late VIR?  
Which criteria did / do you have on your check list…?

Don’t be too picky & perfectionistic though (ha, awareness round these tendencies could definitely come up under MERCURY dancing on the VIR – LI – VIR – LI Point this season).
As you know, it can turn into endless fault finding / nothing’s ever good enough, everything turns into a problem – which lends itself even more to paralyzing fence sitting, as a consequence…. or / and turning the fault finding toward oneself.

Again, the practice of witnessing, noticing what’s going on in the mind, with awareness & mindfulness, come handy….

With MERCURY going retro back to late VIRGO, almost to the point of exactly / widely in stationary mode opposing NEPTUNE retro in PI (in effect Sept 28 – Oct 5), the reminder comes to mind & heart: 
You are not the mind, it is merely a ‘particle’ in the Fabric & Web of Life – yet as such also an agent of what-IS, and it serves the Self / Spirit / Consciousness.

How about dedicating this phase to:

• Making wise & well informed choices.

• Being aware where we could involve others more into our choices (being informed / supported by friends / counsel), and on the other hand, where we almost let them chose for us, or make our choices dependent on them / their choices – which can turn into a strategic, or even paralyzing chess game – not so great.
  Where’s the happy medium / sweet spot?

• Cultivating practices that bring us balance.
  Where has your mental involvement become imbalanced?
  Let me guess:
  Perhaps too much screen time and virtual communication, not enough of the art & culture (LIBRA) of face-to-face communication with others? Esp. since 2020…
  See what others mirror to you, and how you groove & dance with each other!
  Maybe it’s time to bring more social & cultural activities and mental stimuli into your life?
  The LIBRAn season end of Sept to end of Oct is always great anyway for new social endeavours – maybe literally dancing – which IS good for the brain & mind….
  Dance as if nobody or everybody watches. Dance in Nature!

• Cultivating peace – starting in the mind:
  Where are you divided / taking sides / being allies, and argue back and forth in your mind or with others, while the truth is in the middle? Nobody’s got the absolute truth. How can the opposites be married?
  What would be a thought and statement that brings peace to this…. situation?

• Negotiating in a skillful, win-win way.

• Surrounding yourself with, and walking in harmony:
  What does harmony mean to you?
  Which environments provide that for you?
  What’s a good match that creates harmony in you?

• Speaking / corresponding with your loved ones about important matters.
  What’s the ‘contract’ between you (a formal agreement, or a soul contract)?
  How can the dynamics between you be balanced? 
  A good time to bring it up in conversation – in a considerate yet clear way that aims for win-win.

The SUN will be also in LIBRA from Sept 22 (day of the ‘New Mercury!’) to Oct 23, and VENUS Sept 29 – Oct 23, making esp. Oct 10 (when MERCURY re-enters LI) – 23 a very LIBRAN phase.

The need to return to source during a confused search for new value in a chaotic society

• MERCURY in LIBRA & MARS now (for long time, incl retro) in GEM (which is ruled by MERCURY) are in interplay / partnership:
  MARS entered GEM just 5 days before MERCURY enters LIBRA (Aug 20 / 25), and goes retro just one day after MERCURY leaves LIBRA (Oct 29 / 30).
  MERCURY in LIBRA will form a not-quite exact yet very active Air Trine with MARS in GEM on Sept 1 – 5, while going into pre-retro ‘storm’.
  An excellent time for any communicative, speaking, writing, reading, research / dot-connecting projects.
  And so much more… (see below).

• MERCURY has also a thing going on with JUPITER retro in ARIES (hey, that’s ruled by MARS…)?
  3 exact opposition alignments, before, during, and after M-r (Sept 2, 18, and Oct 12) stand out.
  Looks like an important process is coming in, to balance (LIBRA, opposition) the importance of autonomy, and finding one’s path, guided from within (JUPITER retro in AR) and partnerships, win-win synergy, and choices, informed by that balance (M-r in LIBRA).
  More aspects to this dynamic too, of course.
  
  I bet there’ll be much more to learn and practice under M-r.

MERCURY in early LIBRA in pre-retro ‘storm’ (from Sept 2 on) in wide Air Trine (not exact yet effective for 4 days) w. MARS in GEM (ruled by MERCURY).
The alignment comes back, exactly, on Oct 26, post M-r, and just before MARS goes retro (Oct 30 – Jan 13).
Excellent time for any communicative, speaking, writing, reading, research / dot-connecting projects.
Magic can show up at the onset of M-r that sets the tone, lost ‘threads’ from the past can be picked up, dots can be connected.
And: May the conscious & enlightened Warrior Spirit be voiced, and channeled into fairness, justice, and right relationship, on all levels!

SEPT 2
MERCURY in early LIBRA, in pre-retro ‘storm’, opposes JUPITER retro in early ARIES (1st of 3 alignments, again during retro on Sept 18 & post-retro on Oct 12)
How to balance & bridge coordination, negotiation, harmony, win-win in relation to others, with being authentic and true to Self / guided by the genuine Self?
Looks like an initiation process, with the triple alignment.
At this point (pre-M-r), it’s good to notice what comes up, as your internal compass / default modus, and how that can & might be modified.

SEPT 9
MERCURY at 8°55′ LIBRA goes retro (until Oct 2)
RE-considering choices and alignment, and finding balance within, by returning to Source.

SEPT 18
MERCURY retro in early LIBRA, again opposes JUPITER retro in early ARIES (2nd of 3 alignments, after pre-retro on Sept 2, again post-retro, on Oct 12)
Have you gained more intel & insight, re: the balance between being fully YOU, and the re-quirements for harmonious balance of autonomy & re-latedness to others?
Have fairness issues come up to be re-conciled?

SEPT 22 – Fall Equinox – the SUN enters LIBRA, just 6 hrs before…
MERCURY retro meets the SUN freshly in LIBRA, at this half-way point of the M-r Journey (MERCURY steps ‘behind’ the SUN in the Zodiac, this time right on the Fall Equinox Point!);
‘Day of Enlightening Insight’ aka ‘New Mercury’
What does ‘Perfect Balance’ / Harmony / Peace require, esp. intra-mentally?
Auspicious energy for new dialogues and negotiation.
Good idea to initiate important communicative / writing endeavours after this date. If there’s time, rather wait until M-r is over & integrated.

SEPT 23
MERCURY retro re-enters VIRGO, for its second half of the retro trip
Practice IS Perfect, and Reason Matters.
Equanimity in place?
Can wise choices be made, based on the info you have? I doubt it / not re-quired yet.
What’s equitable and fair? What’s disproportionate?
Which details need to be figured in, and how does discernment come in?
Use perspective and experience.
And how about the Golden Rule?!

OCT 10 – day after the AR – LI Full Moon
MERCURY in post-retro ‘storm’ (ended Oct 5) fully enters LIBRA (until Oct 29)
Have you done the practice of being in good relationship with yourself-as-Source? Harmony & balance can ensue.

MERCURY in LI in quincunx w. URANUS retro in TAU, and in Air Trine w. SATURN retro / stat (going direct 3 hrs after the alignment!) in AQ. MERCURY links SATURN & URANUS, showing that their epic 2021 triple square is still active / needs integration.
How can a Culture of Peace & Fairness be achieved, with so much disruption of the status quo?
Wake-up calls also happened through all this.
So much is now ‘up in the air’ / in the Zeitgeist, re: right relationships, fairness, justice / notions for reconciliation, inter-personally, and esp. socially.
When dealing with challenging social / societal situations, how does negotiation work, to attain balance and de-escalate polarization, and prevent further fractures?

After such an important process of re-framing and re-newing in the mental-spiritual realm, how can the Alchemy that happened within be voiced?

Power to Change – naaaah, not your mind again, but to change being controlled by it.
Power to communicate from a deep, soulful place – yasss! (also a practice for MERCURY in SCO, from Oct 29 on)
Fairness, Balance, Justice, Government, Laws… so much has been up for re-examination – how do those realms look now – to you?
How are you guided & ‘governed’ by Natural Laws, and how do you restore Balance from within?

RETRO Summer / Early Fall 2022 (up to 7 Planets simultaneously retro) – RE-Sourcing from Within

Dear Astro Friends,

Yayy – this will be, and already IS, another late SUMMER & early FALL of RETRO…
…as in the last years (since 2017), where retrograde phases have been concentrated in the Summertime!

But hey, SEVEN is quite a lot of Retro!

The highest Retro score I’ve seen in my 21-year Astro practice.

Theoretically, 9 Planets could be retro – but that’s unheard-of, and may or may not have happened, in recorded history.

Presently, there are ‘just’ 5 Planets retro.
On Aug 24, URANUS in TAU goes retro (until Jan 23).
On Sept 9, MERCURY in LIBRA will go retro (until Oct 2 – back to VIRGO).

That’ll be the RETRO RECORD Phase of the Year – with SEVEN of them:
MERCURY, JUPITER, SATURN, CHIRON, URANUS, NEPTUNE, PLUTO.

Thereafter, the turnaround to direct / forward movement starts with MERCURY (Oct 2), PLUTO will be the 2nd one to go direct, on Oct 8, followed by SATURN on Oct 22.
Then, MARS goes retro, on Oct 30 (back to 5 Planets retro).
JUPITER goes direct on Nov 23, NEPTUNE on Dec 3, CHIRON on Dec 23, MARS on Jan 13, and URANUS on JAN 23, unraveling the retro-activity (after yet another MERCURY retro phase, Dec 29 – Jan 19).

I hearya – throwing your hands up, anticipating all sorts of turmoil – oh NOOOO!
Not to worry. VIRGO (we’re freshly in Her Season) says:
It’s all a matter of alignment with what-IS.
I.o.w., don’t paddle upstream, against the cosmic river, which ever direction it goes; be carried by it.

Indeed, Outer (not well considered) Moves aren’t so supported under Retro.

Yet, it IS…

* A great time to go deeper into what’s been ‘stored away’ and ‘left behind’, on all levels.

* A wonderful time for us introverts / introspective people.

* Good (always is) for gaining inner & spiritual perspective on the ‘outside world’.

* A time to fully regenerate (rather than do what we’ve always done and see the same effects…).

And isn’t that what’s REquired for deep transformation on all levels – which is what these critical / crisis years are so much about?!

Looks like we’re called to go backwards / inwards, to REsolve and RElease, esp. old low and unconscious, perhaps karmically ‘inherited’, vibrations of…

MERCURY in LIBRA-VIRGO (will be retro Sept 9 – Oct 2)
Old mental patterns that revolve around old issues of fairness, balance, justice, peace, culture, and right relationship, as well as health, wellness, work, problem-solving, and generally: what’s in alignment.

JUPITER in ARIES-PISCES (has been retro since July 28 – Nov 23; back in PI from Oct 27 on) 
A view of the world based on survival, and old Pisces Age co-dependency dynamics between victim – perpetrator – saviour.

SATURN in AQ (retro June 4 – Oct 22)
Old REpetitive patterns, karma, blocks and obstacles of being alone, isolated, an outsider – shunned, blamed, discriminated, ‘in the cold’, or of not being able to relate to ‘the people’ / society.

CHIRON in AR (retro July 19 – Dec 23)
Old stressful survival mode wounds. Or: “I’m the first / only one here?!”

Old attachments and sticky habits that prevent our true freedom.

URANUS in TAURUS Turns Retro on Aug 24 (until Jan 22) – Liberation & Spontaneity From Within

HI Fellow Cosmic Being & emBodied Earthling!

Let’s be clear – there’s no denying:

Stationary URANUS in TAU is the Main ‘Player’ of August

Which already became evident at the very beginning of the month, via:
MARS in TAURUS (July 4 – Aug 20), connected with URANUS & the Lunar North Node on Aug 1 –
Breakthroughs into Spontaneity & EmBodied Freedom.

How’s it been going with those activations?
Could have been THE ONE event that shook you up, or a ‘drip content’ of wake-up / awakening calls, likely through the body, and in relation to the Earth-Body / Mother Earth, and our place on Her.

URANUS is now in very slow & stationary ‘direct-to-retro storm’, as it turns retro on Aug 24 (- Jan 23, 2023), with the themes:

• Awakening from Within

• Embodying Freedom

• Anchoring the Light / Higher Frequencies

• New Earth Consciousness

• Planting Seeds of our Unique Gifts

Retro Record on the Horizon

Indeed – URANUS joining the ‘Retro Club of Planets’ this late Summer, where SIX (incl. URANUS) from end of Aug on, and eventually, for most of Sept, even SEVEN (once MERCURY joins, on Sept 9) Planets will be simultaneously retro.

I hear you sigh…
Not to worry & stress it.
RE-lax, RE-treat, RE-ad, RE-generate, RE-store….

LIBERATION from Within

The URANIAN Turnaround (twice a year, retro to direct – these years in January, and direct to retro – these years in Aug) is a stand-still & ‘gear shift’ in a collective (outer) and transpersonal (inner) way.

URANUS in TAU has been (from Earth perspective) going direct since Jan 18 – right after the CANCER – CAPRICORN (with PLUTO) Full Moon (Jan 17) – Birthing out of Old Power Dynamics, into Our Shared Humanity 

Lots of external, collectively experienced, yet for many of us also very personal explosive, shocking wake-up calls since then.
In URANian fashion, uniquely different for all of us.

Now, we’re shifting from primarily outward experiences with URANUS to inner ‘revolution’ & awakening. Not to say there’s a guarantee for calm waters ‘out in the world’ – but the theme is more internalized.

It’s also a much-needed integration of the effects from ‘external URANUS’.

Let’s dedicate our energy towards embracing URANIAN Liberation from within – and be aligned.

You’re FREE.
Have always been.
But maybe NOW is the time to fully wake up to it.

All else can follow…

Let’s look at the

SABIAN SYMBOL for the URANUS Turnaround Degree

URANUS will go retro on Aug 24 at 18°55’ TAURUS.
Since it’s so close to 19° let’s take that degree (even though, technically, it doesn’t pass it).

It’s actually the same degree on which the epic Aug 1 alignment of MARS – URANUS – NN happened (URANUS hasn’t moved much, since, and is stationary on it throughout Aug & Sept).

A NEW CONTINENT RISING OUT OF THE OCEAN

KEYNOTE: The surge of new potentiality after the crisis

The symbol need hardly be commented upon.
When the mind has been emptied, and light has been called upon to purify the consciousness freed from its attachment & contaminations, a new release of life can emerge out of the infinite Ocean of potentiality, the Virgin SPACE.
What will it be used for?  

Because this is a fourth stage symbol, we find in it a suggestion of how to approach whatever new phase of life has been not only hoped for, but actually confirmed. The ‘technique’ is simply to allow the infinite Potential to operate in unconstrained SPONTANEITY.
This means to have reached a state in which the conscious, rational ego is no longer a controlling factor.”

Loving it!
Re-affirming the impulses that were already set early this month, for a new way of Being – spontaneous & free.
Detached & free from Taurean established modi & habits.
Pro-actively-joyfully breaking those, rather than having them via ‘external effects’ traumatically disrupted (which would be also a Uranian effect ‘from the outside-in’).
Freedom for… whatever spontaneously arises from that oceanic space.
And ‘simply’ Freedom that’s not in relation to anything.

The condition & on-going practice here is an emptied mind... which MERCURY (the ‘lower octave of URANUS’ & mentally oriented Messenger Planet) will assist with, when going retro on Sept 9.

Right at the onset of the URANIAN retro phase,

on Aug 26,
VENUS in LEO T-squares the NN & URANUS / stat. in TAU, as well as the SN in SCO. The T-square extends to a Grand Cross with SATURN (exact Aug 28)
No room for dark hooks, and old sticky attachments.
Set yourself free, and love yourself.
Set your Heart on Fire!

The VENUSian activation of URANUS & SATURN opens the scene for the last, almost exact, square between SATURN in AQ and URANUS in TAU – the signature alignment of 2021 – now integrating in 2022.

They align once more in wide square (1 1/2 – 3 degrees apart) in Sept / Oct / Nov, throughout the Fall Eclipse Season (which peaks with the PLE Oct 25 & TLE Nov 8, with the North Node in TAU, close to URANUS involved).

A sharp tension / charge / conflict, between security (SATURN) and freedom (URANUS).

Sphinx Point Week and Day (Aug 22): Love & Know Thyself, and Work from Love!

You sense it, and you know it…

The Summer SUN still keeps on giving…

Yet will make a move this week (exactly this eve, AUG 22 at 8:16 pm PDT) – into VIRGO, the last month of the Summer Season – Harvest Time!

Why is the LEO – VIRGO transition called ‘Sphinx Point’?

In LEO, a strong Self is being developed.
In VIRGO, the question is explored: Who or what IS the Self….?

Self (LEO) Awareness (VIRGO) comes up here:
The strong, SUN-fed Self, beyond basking in its glory, becomes aware of itself.
Know Thyself. 
Who ARE YOU?
Which can be taken very deeply…

Likewise, the SPHINX is an oracle, offering a silent mirror image.

Our perception of the world ‘as it is’, and of people actually show us a lot about ourselves.

The world ‘outside’ is a projection.
Happens esp. with inner shadow elements, but also potential, readily / only seen ‘in them’ –
Hence “What’s that side in me?” can be a helpful starting point.

On a ‘practical’ level, 
Self (LEO) Awareness (VIRGO) means – in variations of the theme

• Who am I?
• What brings me joy, and works for me?
• What do I do with Love, and as an expression of my fullness and wholeness?
• How do I bring myself and my Love into Service?
• What can I create from Love, that also helps others?
• How can I use my creative play, my passion, and my strengths not just for myself but to be of assistance / make the world a better place / bring order into chaos?
• What’s my work from the Heart (in the body, LEO rules the Heart, and VIRGO the Hands!)?

Self Aware VIRGO is related to the Sacred Feminine / Priestess

…who is motivated by Alignment, as in these 3 levels:

• ‘Bringing order into chaos’.
• Alignment with the Cosmic Order and the Higher Self.
• Implementing Higher Order, and bringing Heaven to Earth.

In the seasons / yearly cycle it’s the time when Summer play time turns into ‘back to school / work’, and when harvest work begins.

In human development, this is the phase from LEOnine adolescence (show time, party time, being seen and popular, having fun, and developing a strong ego) to VIRGOan young adulthood (an initiation into taking on new responsibilities, transition into college / university, or into the work world – apprenticeship).

The passionate, fiery ‘anything goes / I can do anything I want’ LEO energy becomes grounded, practical, realistic, and checks in:

• Does this work, is it healthy, functional?
• What would work better?
• What needs to be realigned?

Paying attention to details and ‘issues’ is helpful, becoming neurotic – not so much.  
Always good to tune in, with self-awareness: 

• What’s going on here?
• What am I doing and why?
• Whom and what does this serve? Or is it self-serving?
• Can I be aware of the ego, and put its energy into practical use?

We’ve been already in VIRGO Season via MERCURY

MERCURY has been in VIRGO since Aug 3/4 (– 25 & Sept 23 – Oct 10): Practice IS Perfect, and Reason Matters.

And now, the SUN follows, to bring Consciousness to Self Alignment, Service, Health and Wellness on all levels.
The early VIRGO New Moon will be on Aug 27, and VENUS will enter VIRGO on Sept 4 (- 29).

MARS in GEMINI (Aug 20 – March 25), w. retro phase (Oct 30 – Jan 12) – Find Your Voice, Speak Up, Be the Alchemist!

Dear ASTRO~NEWS Reader,

Mars (Hubble Space Telescope)

Bold MARS just came off ground, from earthy TAURUS  (its dwelling place since July 4 – with the highlight phase round Aug 1 – the epic alignment of MARS – North Node – URANUS in TAU catalyzed breakthroughs into embodied freedom!)…

To take flight in GEMINI on Aug 20, flying through the ‘lightest’ Zodiac vibration – until March 25, 2023!

Why so long?
You guessed it:
MARS will go retro, all in GEM, Oct 30 – Jan 12.
More about MARS retro in separate blog article as we’re getting closer to the retro trend, early / mid Oct.
MERCURY, ruler of GEM, going retro (in LIBRA – VIR) before MARS (Sept 9 – Oct 2) will already set the tone.

Here’s for starters an astronomical demo of the retro effect, even specifically for MARS.
Yes, indeed, retrogradation is an ‘optical illusion’ – we know this (often brought up as an ‘argument’ point against the validity of Astrology).
Just like the effect of the Astro chart being by default geo-centric, based on the perspective of Sun / Moon, and Planets, from a certain vantage point / birth place on Planet Earth.
While in space, the Sun is the centre of the Solar System, of course.
Guess I’m having a MARS in GEMINI moment – arguing how this & that can co-exist…

MARS in GEM promises a breath (or many) of fresh AIR!
But hey, we gotta get off our butts & out of our comfort zones (TAU can become sedentary & stagnant – yet URANUS kicks us out of those), show up, move, and act.
Even ‘just’ get out of the house, and go for a walk or (very GEM) bike ride, in the invigorating late Summer Air.

With MARS in swift GEM, things can come into motion, move forward, and be aired.
Esp. after the MARS – URANUS – NN alignment in TAU on Aug 1 – which brought anything but stuck & stagnant energies.

Did you have liberating paradigm shifts lately that urge you to communicate / disseminate them? MARS in GEM is also a Pollinator energy, in relation to what got established under MARS in TAU.

What’s with GEMINI & the ‘Voice Point’?

MARS brings a welcome boost to the otherwise currently low represented AIR element (only via SATURN in AQ).
Things come into motion, esp. mentally-communicatively – GEM is the first AIR & mutable sign of the Zodiac.

I call the TAU – GEM cusp that MARS crossed yesterday the ‘Voice Point‘. 
The’ Voice Point’ is also the energy that shows how Nature Speaks, and where listening to the Voice of the Body comes up.

Martian energy in GEM gives extra energy, strength, desire, and courage to find our Voice, and speak up.

To communicate our values (TAU), ask questions, get information out, debate (well, MARS in GEM can be very argumentative and contentious), and: learn!

TAURUS rules the throat & neck, sound & song.
GEMINI rules the lungs, breathing, communication, language.

In its approx. 2-year cycle, MARS hasn’t been in GEMINI since March / April 2021.
Time to give all things GEM an energy boost again, and – via its 2 1/2 months retro phase (Oct 30 – Jan 12), to check in on previously unaddressed questions, intel, and communication, ‘even’ (esp.!) if that requires initiative & courage (MARS).

MARS rules ARIES, where JUPITER & CHIRON transit now – both currently in retro mode:
Finding our Inner YES!, and
Healing through Inner Warrior Medicine & Authenticity
These themes are stirred up by MARS – calling us to voice, communicate, discuss, write about, and: act upon them.

MARS in GEM and the U.S.

The U.S. have (in the astro chart of the Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776) MARS at 21º22′ GEM in its 7th House of ‘Significant Others’ = other countries, allies, enemies, and: The People (in contrast to the country / States).
Diversity, outspokenness / prone to debate.
And: First Amendment – Freedom of Speech.

The U.S. will be ever so activated by this MARS transit, esp. in Oct / Nov, since it’ll go retro on Oct 30 at 25º37′ GEM – just 4º off the U.S. MARS.

I bet this cosmic Martian ‘weather’ turns into a really ‘hot phase’ in / for the U.S.
Also given the fact that MARS will be stationary (going retro on Oct 30) right around the mid-term elections on Nov 8 – which also happens to be the exact DAY(!) of the Total Lunar Eclipse in mid-TAU – SCO. Intensity, and lots of verbal crossfire for sure.

MARS will in its GEM journey cross the U.S. MARS point 3 times:

• Forward-stationary on Oct 5
• In retro on Nov 24 – U.S. Thanksgiving!
• Forward on March 6

Looks like the U.S. esp. – as humanity – will be working out unREsolved debates, and issues round free speech, science & information.

I’m also wondering about the MARS effect on former U.S. President D. Trump’s chart & life…

…since his GEM SUN / URANUS / North Node get directly activated by MARS, esp. when stationary in Oct / Nov.
Plus, Trump was born with MARS rising (wouldn’t we have noticed?!)….

Seems like he could have a come-back as an important player with his provocative outspokenness, in the politico-societal scene, given the striking MARS activation, synch’ed with the U.S. MARS.

Not only will MARS be in GEMINI...

Also, at the Martian onset in GEM its ruling planet MERCURY is now in its other ruled sign VIRGO, and will be soon in retro loop (Sept 9 – Oct 2).

Which all reinforces the shared MARS – MERCURY themes…

• New / renewed interest in ideas, contacts, learning, conversations (GEM).

• Stirred up / provoked / stimulated / sharp (MARS) thoughts (MERCURY).

• Aggressive / assertive / argumentative / accusatory / ego-driven debates can pop up too – more so even???

• Issues round masculinity, competition, sex, war (MARS) are being talked / written about (MERCURY).

• Speaking UP does really come up.

• What is it you think the World or your circle of influence should know about?

Good to channel the fierce mental-physical energy of the GEMINI Warrior into fresh, bold, animated youthful curiosity, the desire to learn (esp. languages), reading & writing what you’re passionate about.

The GEMINI pic to the right shows Yin & Yang, Feminine & Masculine, united into the double-headed ‘Phoenix’.

With MARS activating GEM it looks like the Masculine is coming into the Alchemy more. And questions / discussions about the Inner Masculine are ‘hot topics’. Had one of those this morning, speaking to a friend…

Lion’s Gate SuperMOON in AQ – LEO (Aug 11) – Love & Liberté

Dear Cosmic Friends,

Get ready for another SuperMoon!
The last one of 4 close-to-Perigee Moons, this year, closer than usual to Earth, in Her orbit, therefore appearing larger & brighter – the last one on July 13 was THE SuperMoon of the year.

Another power house – a wired and intense one for sure, with surprises & shifts – that bring us right into THIS moment.

What a FM / SuperMoon coming up!

Involved in a Grand Fixed Cross, and with yet another square in the cosmo-sphere, from LILITH in CAN to JUPITER / CHIRON, both retro in ARIES. Her chart below shows the ‘evidence’.

Not a walk in the park… (but that’s purrhaps exactly the Medicine of what we should do, lol).

No wonder, when things get side-tracked and disrupted, a la MARS – URANUS / NN in TAU, squaring the FM axis, let alone the other cosmic pranksters & cat-alysts….

The Full MOON in AQ comes with SATURN

The pair will be a beautiful sight, these evenings / nights.
Also since the SuperMoon sails low on the Ecliptic – so big & bright!

Astrologically, their combined AQ energy seems crystal clear:

• A commitment to being of service to freedom for all.

There’s been such an ‘electric’ build-up time for this FULL MOON.
The month started with the epic alignment (and second major one of the year!) of MARS – URANUS – North Node in TAU, on Aug 1, heralding / provoking Breakthroughs into Spontaneity & EmBodied Freedom.

Calling us to be grounded in the strength of slow, steady, patient, enjoyable Life Force. While also being unattached and free / shaking off what keeps us stuck, and embracing new ways of being.
Sense it in your Body!

Btw, URANUS also rules lightning storms – and this is clearly the season to amp up their likelihood, in a heated-up atmosphere.

This is the 1st Full Moon after the Aug 1 alignment, and in AQ – ruled by URANUS – , plus: a Fixed Grand Cross links it all together!

So great to see how this notion of freedom is coming to fruition (Full Moon) – as humanity (AQ) and the Earth (TAU) join forces & stand / hold the ground, in the Grand Revelation (unveiling) & Awakening (URANUS) process!

The SUN in LEO will even exactly square URANUS in TAU (happens twice a year) in the morning of the FM day, followed by a square from the MOON in AQ, just 45 min before the exact Full Moon!
With this T-square to URANUS, thrills, surprises, shocks, excitement, revolution, revelations are certainly cat-alyzed by the FM…

But not ‘only’ that:
URANUS in TAU is linked with the North Node, while MARS has just passed both.
URANUS sets us free, or rather:
shows that we ARE Free – and helps us to awaken to this Truth.

With MARS in TAU, the Uranian Revolution also presents as a resistance.
The Lunar North Node in TAU encourages: Back to Nature & to our Senses (rather than being trapped in the Dark – SN in SCO).

August is the most URANIAN month of 2022:
It already started with the MARS – URANUS – NN alignment, and:
The Awakener Planet stations, mid-to-end of Aug, turning retro on Aug 24.
URANUS brings breakthroughs & liberation, and the Full MOON in AQ can be a ‘transmitter’.

Last SATURN – URANUS Square (2021 – 22)

The Grand Cross Full Moon brings out once more the epic square between SATURN in AQ and URANUS (ruler of AQ) in TAU, which was 3 times exact in 2021 (THE major alignment of the year it was).

Flare-up review / integration of the big tension last year, between order & chaos, restrictions & freedom?!

Yes, these exact alignments of SATURN and URANUS are now integrating, yet the theme continues to roll out.
As PLUTO transitions in 2023 / 24 from SATURN ruled CAP to URANUS ruled AQ.
And as we see in the development in society / economy / systems, BIG time.
From the era of corporatism / capitalism / Plutocracy to the era of Technocracy?

So much more can be said about this, and is being discussed everywhere…
In this context, I leave it with re-posting the juxtaposition of SATURN in AQ and URANUS in TAU – first offered last year, and worth re-considering:

Freedom FROM low vibrational expressions of the LEO – AQ energies:

• LEO Drama & Dominance – often over-compensation of the need to be seen and loved.
• AQ Isolation and Alienation – often a strategy to avoid hurt and rejection.

Freedom FOR…

• Authentic Self Expression. Showing our Colours & Shining Our Heart Light (LEO)
• Living Life Lovingly and Creatively (LEO)
• Connecting with Like-Spirited and Like-Hearted Friends and Community (AQ)
• Co-Creating in Freedom, and with Synergistic Innovation (AQ)

Reminds me of the spiritual teacher J. Krishnamurti.
His birth chart features a late AQ Ascendant and TAU SUN. Time to integrate & apply his ‘Freedom from the Known’ teaching – in so many ways.

A few years back, I was with a friend on a personal retreat in the beautiful K-Ctre outside of Victoria. We picked ‘randomly’ some videos to watch, and in one of them Krishnamurti talks about ‘Freedom that has no opposite’ – as long as there is an opposite (even freedom from… or freedom for) it’s not ultimate Freedom. What a liberating paradigm shift!
Same goes for Love – only Love without opposite is real Love.

Another widely loved & revered timeless teacher / visionary, C.G. Jung, was born on July 26, 1875, with early LEO SUN, not far from URANUS, AQ AC, and his SATURN in AQ where it is now. This Full Moon would be on his AC – DC axis.

Clearing my book shelves last Spring, I came across The Undiscovered Self (English translation by R.F.C. Hull), which has been sitting there for more than 20 years, unread, undiscovered by me. When reading it, and from the beginning stunned at the timeliness / synchronicity and relevance of his message from 1957 / 58 for our societal situation in 2020 / 21!

I felt called last week to read the first chapter The Plight of the Individual in Modern Society (so LEO – AQ) in a video – check it out.
And read the book if you feel intrigued. So worth it.

AQ – LEO reminds me of this all time favourite quote that I once heard from a film maker.

Where mid AQ is in your chart points to the area of life where Liberation and Co-Creation is ‘full & ripe’ now.

Moonrise here on the West Coast will be at 9:04 pm PDT, 3 1/2 hrs after exact fullness.

Striking!

The whole pic jumps at you, with ‘red’ tension everywhere.

Most prominently via the Fixed Grand Cross, involving:
The SUN in LEO, the MOON / SATURN retro in AQ, URANUS / NN / MARS in TAU, the SN in SCO.
URANUS at 18°51′ TAU super tightly squares the FM axis at 19°21‘ AQ – LEO, of course with the NN and MARS nearby, and the SN in SCO right opposite.
SEVEN factors involved in that Grand Cross – very dominant.

A release of this holding / stuck / locked-in pattern wants to happen at any of the 4 fixed Zodiac points that are in tension with one another:

• At the SN in SCO (the most intense of the 4 points) – which pulls us into the Dark – where it can feel frozen and repressed, and energy gets drained. Sorta Vampire like.
  Watch for those temptations to be pulled in. Yet a good spot to see and process shadow.

• The Full MOON with SATURN retro in AQ sounds already more real and ‘workable’, yet also challenging. When feeling isolated / abandoned / like an outsider, where are like minded people? And what does this have to do with having felt rejected early in life?
  Can you find inner authority, re-parent yourself, be a good friend to yourself, and find community among those who also care about humanity, co-creation, and freedom?!

• The NN with URANUS and MARS in TAU presents as a liberating contrast / or jolt.
  Surprises, shake-ups, wake-up calls, a call for awakening, revolutionary paradigm shifts, renewal, innovation, liberation.
  Expect the unexpected, and get out of your comfort zone and its attachments.
  What wakes you up, and sets you free?
  Liberation – that take us right into THIS moment…

• The SUN in its LEO domain strengthens the Heart, the Spirit, the Self, Creativity, and Life Force altogether.
  Follow the SUN!

Much better though, than being caught in the square box of the Luna-sphere, and feeling the stress on either ‘end’ while also feeling pulled in 4 directions would be to turn inward, find our centre / come back to inner centeredness beyond / underneath the conflict, examine (yes, now with MERCURY in VIRGO), integrated, synthesize the apparently contradictory facets of experience.
And from there, take conscious, centred action.
The SUN in LEO & MARS in TAU like that too.

Yet another (cardinal) square!
From LILITH in CANCER to JUPITER & CHIRON in ARIES – both now retro (since July 19 / 28).
The square isn’t exact, but active July / Aug.
The Grand Cross FM & LILITH thereby cat-alyze this month a pre-cursor of the JUPITER – CHIRON conjunction in ARIES, on March 12, 2023 (one of the main alignments / cosmic events of next year).

• Where’s the Home your Heart calls you to?
• What would be healing about a step forward in that direction?
• Can you see things with fresh eyes, and take baby steps?

Another Super Retro Summer / early Fall is Starting

As in the last few years, we see the maximum of retro Planets in the Summer.

Already, FIVE heavenly bodies are presently from Earth perspective retro (see chart, JUPITER, SATURN, CHIRON, NEPTUNE, PLUTO).

• SATURN is presently in AQ (Dec 2019 – March 2023) where challenges for Humanity, Societies, and Systems arise. Teaching us, at times painfully, how the obstacles (SATURN) to co-creation in freedom (AQ) have to do with having given authority away to systems that aren’t working anymore, and are ripe to be ‘harvested’. SATURN presently retro, supports taking authority and responsibility back.

• PLUTO in SATURN’s sign CAP (2008 – 2023), presently also retro, helps with the transformation, by meeting our own shadows – as the Old Empire expires, and things are irreversibly evolving collectively.
  Dense stuff, perhaps. Heavy curriculum? Resources present too:
  Under PLUTO retro, and NEPTUNE retro, these years in PISCES (since 2011 / 2012, until 2026), so many traditional spiritual teachings & practices from our biological and Spirit Ancestry have reached our modern cultures and become not only accessible but ‘mainstream’.
  May the Inner Teacher and liberating light bringer show the way! The ‘trick’ is to keep it simple, be consistent, and apply them into our daily practice, to have them available in most challenging situations.

• JUPITER & CHIRON, now retro in ARIES, help us to…
  Find healing from within, as we see things with fresh eyes.

• URANUS the ruling Planet of the AQ Full Moon will join the club, on Aug 24, making it SIX.
  Find Liberation from the inside-out.

• The retro max with SEVEN will be Sept 9 – Oct 2 when MERCURY goes retro, in LIBRA – VIRGO. Mindfulness is a practice.

And offering the perspective of seeing ‘the outer events’ as a Soul Crisis, a wildfire that calls for mobilization of our essence, and of our faith in & cooperation (AQ) with higher Powers.

The ‘water bearing’ quality of AQ takes on a new meaning.

How do you like the glow-rious Summer of 2022 thus far? Sooo many events and happenings are exploding now – after a 2-year hiatus!

Right after the 08-08 Lion’s Gate & SIRIUS Rising!

On Aug 26, VENUS will be the apex of a fixed T-square with the South Node in SCO, the North Node in TAU – and: URANUS, juuust having turned retro (from Aug 24 on) in TAU (close to the NN end of July to end of Aug).
Extending to a fixed Grand Cross, of VENUS in LEO, the SN in SCO, SATURN retro in AQ, URANUS stat. / freshly retro & the NN in TAU, exact between Aug 26 – 28, wrapping around the VIR New Moon on Aug 27, as VENUS goes into exact opposition with SATURN, on Aug 28 (once a year).

Vibrant, self-radiant, joyful VENUS in LEO is quite antidote to hard, heavy, distant, aloof, and ‘icy’ SATURN in AQ (Dec 16, 2020 – March 7, 2023) – which has shown how Humanity can be frozen in F.E.A.R. / kept in check / distant / separate / guarded / walled-off / masked-off from one another.
Yet also, what the lesson is, and what it has to do with authority (SATURN), solidarity, cooperation / co-creation, and freedom (AQ).
Currently, SATURN is retro (June 4 – Oct 22). Time to disengage from the ‘old regime’ of inner ancestral / social / societal disempowering conditioning & imprints, and find authority from within.

The exact opposition of VENUS and SATURN retro will be on Aug 28, the day after the VIR New Moon on Aug 27.
We might go back and forth between love & joy, being playful & seen, and being socially awkward / jaded / judgmental / rejecting / feeling unseen / invisible / ‘out in the cold’.
Good to cultivate heartful self-Love, while inquiring into the role of the mind in all this, and release old thought patterns & programs –
Which prob. come up under MERCURY going retro in LIBRA – VIR, starting on Sept 9 anyway… In this context: “Do they like me?” “Am I good enough / socially acceptable?”

However, with stationary URANUS / NN in TAU (ruled by VENUS), and the SN in SCO involved in the Grand Cross as well…
Love & Liberte are pushing strongly for a revolutionary re-birth, while cutting the chords to bondage by conditioned, repressive / oppressive funk, in us, interpersonally, and societally.

08-08 Lion’s Gate LEO at SIRIUS Rising – Re-Birth of the Spiritual SUN in the Heart

Dear Radiant Star Being,

Some Winters ago, I saw SIRIUS through a friend’s telescope, and felt immediately connected to the bright blue star.

SIRIUS is not only the brightest star in the constellation Canis Major, ‘the Dog’, but the brightest star in the night sky(!).
Yep, the ‘Dog Days of Summer’ also have to do with the Rising of SIRIUS.

Feline / canine LEO  – SIRIUS friends on a walk, in the LEO season, when SIRIUS the Dog Star rises! 

From the perspective of the West Coast, SIRIUS will literally rise at dawn, about 2 hrs before the sunrise.

SIRIUS’s yearly rising before the SUN is called the ‘Heliacal Rising’ (Helios = SUN in Greek).

Spiritual Sun SIRIUS

When SIRIUS, the brightest star in the night sky, re-appears before the SUN at dawn it’s the time for the ‘Spiritual SUN’, or Heart of our physical SUN to be REborn.
Well, always a good time to RE-connect with the Spiritual SUN…

Ancient Egypt honoured the yearly reappearance of SIRIUS, announcing the flooding of the Nile as the Goddess Isis, heavenly sister / consort of Osiris, and Mother of Horus.

MERCURY in VIRGO (Aug 3/4 – 25 & Sept 23 – Oct 10): Practice IS Perfect, and Reason Matters.

Dear Astro~News Buffs & Newbies,

MERCURY the swift Messenger (its GEMINI side) and crafty Alchemist (its VIRGO facet) has moved from LEO (Show Time / Roar Time / Heart Time – since July 19) into VIRGO.

Have you noticed the whole spectrum of the LEO on your and others’ minds, over the last weeks?
With expressions of joy, playfulness, natural strength, confidence, and ideally: Being in the Heart & communicating from there…
Yet also lower vibrations of egoic self absorption, confidence as a facade to not ‘lose face’, maybe even narcissism – mostly an over compensation of actual lack of self confidence and living from the Heart….

MERCURY in LEO has shown us once again how the mind can be too me-me-me selfie-oriented, and lack detachment / perspective / the ability to witness in a bigger system.
That’s prob why it’s considered ‘in Fall’ in LEO (while ‘exalted’ in AQ).
Hopefully you and I and many people had a chance to turn it around, and come from the Heart-of-Hearts.

On Aug 3 (Aug 4, MST and east of), MERCURY crossed over the mysterious & oracular LEO – VIR ‘Sphinx Point’ where the Planetary Archetype of ‘Mind’ can help us be aware of the Self and its function ‘in the World’, and in alignment with the ‘cosmic assignment’:

Naturally, MERCURY now (and for a long time) in VIRGO, incl. its retro phase (Sept 9 – Oct 2) that takes it to the end of VIRGO (with also VIR undertone) where it opposes NEPTUNE retro in PI, and forms twice an Earth Trine with PLUTO retro / stat. in CAP.
New-old questions & information to these ever so critical & complex issues in 2020 – 2022 will come to the foreground again:

• The overall & specific functioning & wellness of the human body-mind-spirit.
• What’s with the health orders – what needs to be re-examined?
• What’s the role of the self-sufficient individual in the system / collective?
• What will back to school entail?
• What’s with back to the work world?
• What’s with discrimination?
• How can the economy re-cover?
• And for those who lost their job or business, what can be done to maintain livelihood?
• What worked, and what didn’t, in the pandemic response?!

MERCURY in VIRGO can be the critical, practical, common sense contrast to the epic JUPITER – NEPTUNE alignment in PI (which was exact Apr 12, 1st time aligned in PI since 1956!).
MERCURY opposes the point of their opposition twice:
Aug 20 / 21, in forward motion.
And even longer, stationary in turnaround mode, end of Sept / early Oct (MERCURY goes from retro to forward right on the opposition point).

Clearly an indicator: A polarity / antidote to the omni-present PI ‘field’ we’ve been in is presenting now – and needs to be re-examined.

The upcoming MERCURY retro phase (Sept 9 – Oct 2) in LI – VIR – LI will have to do with re-addressing themes of balance, fairness, justice and health, wellness, issues, problems. More about it in the upcoming specific MERCURY retro article (t.b. posted early Sept).

MERCURY in VIRGO also represents & supports the Voice of the Sacred Feminine

…after / beyond the purrrhaps boisterous Leonine expression. 
True strength isn’t about flexing macho muscles to stand in one’s own glory but about Self Awareness.

The VIRGO Earth Angel in the picture to the right beautifully represents the Sacred Feminine in her temple, with Hermes / Mercury helping to transmit cosmic / galactic light to the earthly experience.

The SUN will follow MERCURY and go into VIRGO on Aug 22.
Wellness in Wholeness and Self-Integrity is the overall theme.

Having a sense of what works and is ‘in order’ (i.e. in cosmic order) can make the VIRGO mind so frustrated about the ‘imperfect self’ in an ‘imperfect world’ – which appears full of mess and problems… lots of them un-fixable.

What to do about this predicament?
Alignment with / as our ‘Higher’ / True Self helps – and is an on-going practice.
One of the VIRGO themes / my mantra in that regard is:
Practice IS Perfect.
What’s your perfect practice?

We do our part / what we can, yet we’re not the doers’ on a spiritual level – and ‘even’ quite practically:

How do you ‘make’ your lungs breath, your heart beat, wounds heal – nothing ‘to do’ about all these ‘autonomous’ & essential body functions that are quite miraculously happening without conscious intervention. 
NEPTUNE in PISCES ‘on the other side of the spectrum’ (yet all-encompassing & all-connective) – opposed to by MERCURY on Aug 20, and again, not exactly but widely in the post-retro turnaround end of Sept / early Oct – points us to the miraculous, in the intangible web of life.

Physical & mental & emotional dys-functions show us: Things are out of alignment.
And when things are IN alignment, the flow of life force can find its course again.
What really IS the issue, and what would help – bring things back into alignment? Asks meticulous & discerning MERCURY in VIR.

MERCURY in VIRGO helps with being rational-practical, and applying what we know.

That’s very beneficial since the Alchemist Archetype will go into communicative contact with ALL SIX Planets that are presently RETRO (JUPITER, SATURN, CHIRON, URANUS, NEPTUNE, and PLUTO), in its first phase in VIRGO (Aug 3 / 4 – 25).

In the retro / turnaround completion phase end of VIR (Sept 23 – Oct 10), MERCURY will connect once more with PLUTO in CAP which itself will be in turnaround from retro to direct (Oct 8).

What do these other Planetary Archetypes ‘tell us’, via MERCURY?

And how does that help with our on-going practice, to stay well and in alignment with our Higher Self (the VIRGO theme)?

Let’s use this very mercurial phase (Aug – mid-Oct) for reflection & integration of the massive outer events earlier this year.

Even if it’s awkward, you can’t rehearse, and it seems so brave, don’t be self critical – just take the first step to talk, and be authentic.

What grounds you, when it comes to hands-on work & enjoyment, in good measure?
How does that also take care of the funk that sends you on a downward spiral, and is self-defeating?
What does your body say? Which physical location do you really enjoy yourself at, feel in alignment with & comfortable?
Your mind might be surprised…
Also a good time for late Summer clearing, incl inner ‘house cleaning’ – also since it’s the waning Moon phase – and for getting the pieces together to build a foundation for projects to come.
Plus, to connect the dots in many ways, while thinking practically, being rational, and not getting sucked into the ‘dark zone’.
And – always good to remember: Practice IS Perfect.

AUG 18
MERCURY in VIR in quincunx with SATURN retro in AQ
Where are common sense people? And critical-rational scientists?
We find them / each other, in our Shared Humanity.

AUG 20
MERCURY end of VIR goes into pre-retro ‘shadow’ (crosses the point in the Zodiac from which it’ll go direct again on Oct 2) and opposes NEPTUNE retro in PI (1st time, exact)
Fore-shadowing issues of the retro process?
We’re doing our human thing while the Universe is ‘weaving the Web of Life’. Communication & connection happens via so many channels.
Even if it seems overwhelming and confusing, never mind, and trust the flow. Let yourself be mused & inspired.

AUG 22

Yes, busy times… Don’t get wrapped up too much in the doing mode. And let the energy from the Ancestors & from the Earth support what you’re doing, and support you in the evolution!

2nd phase of MERCURY (now retro) in VIR opposite NEPTUNE retro in PI – (not exact, yet only 1 1/2 degrees off, and with MERCURY stationary – a slow cooker to show us how to turn situations around)
When overwhelmed by chaos / so many influences / confluences, notice where your mind goes, and is involved in this ‘spiel’.
Come back to what works for you, takes you back into alignment with your cosmic / Soul assignment, and let go of the rest, with Love.

OCT 2
MERCURY goes direct again, at 24°13′ VIR – end of VIR has a VIR undertone
The mind is the messenger / assistant, not the master.
Once again, we figured.
Bringing the gifts of the retro journey (since Sept 9) to “what’s next”. What have you learned about what works for, and is compatible with you (LI – VIR)? Take inventory.
If you have SUN / MOON / AC / MERCURY, and other Cosmic Players positioned end of VIR to early / mid LIBRA you would have been in for Mercurial treats (and tricks too, of course).

OCT 5
The post-MERCURY retro stationary period end of VIR comes to a close.
Yes, indeed, the ‘hottest’ phases are the ‘storms’ before & after M-r (Sept 2 – 9 in early LIBRA, and Oct 2 – 5 in late VIR).
Hope you took it easy, in the stormy integration phase – lots of practical details (VIR) and relational dynamics / issues of balance, fairness, justice, and choices (LI) needed to be considered.
What can be a way forward that’s grounded in reason?
Still time to weigh options, under MERCURY in LIBRA to follow.
