The first Full Moon in Fall & HarvestMoon is coming up!
Why is the Full Moon closest to the Fall Equinox called Harvest Moon?
And is it really bigger than the other Full MOONs?
This time – definitely.
Voila – some astronomical features from EarthSky.
In the progressions of seasons and esp. the growth season of 2023, it’s now a good time to acknowledge what’s coming to Fruition in this HARVEST Time – from the Spring & Summer, and from longer phases!
Let’s see where we’re at, with the Harvest theme, astrologically.
Phewwww – SO much is ‘ripe’ now, even ‘just’ since the VIRGO New Moon (Sept 14 / 15), and last Full Moon / SuperSuperMoon in PISCES – VIRGO (Aug 30 / 31)!
And – seems like we’re ripe for emerging & showing up in a whole new way of Being (apropos ARIES) and of Being with One Another (very LIBRA)!
Feeling it?
She’s also the last of 4 SuperMoons in a row, of the seemingly endless Summer, leading over to early Fall.
Quite an intense Harvest Moon!
The cosmic ‘field’ is so charged now…, and a lot seems to require immediate / urgent care & attention (so ARIES).
I bet you feel it too.
Balance is so much needed, nowadays.
And that’s what the SoLunar energy field shows and guides us to, in many ways (you can find the FM chart and my interpretation below).
Major Effects of the Harvest SuperMoon in / for Canada
…in the wake of the crisis with India from last week.
And through the most acute Parliament crisis, upon erroneously(?!) inviting, honouring, and giving standing ovations to an unvetted Ukrainian WWII vet for fighting “against Russia” – i.o.w., on the side of Nazi Germany.
All this, in full-house presence of Pres. Zelensky – who was assured more Canadian funds & allyship following his visit last Friday, Sept 22.
House Speaker A. Rota who invited & honoured the vet resigned over the affair.
PM Trudeau seemed to have disappeared for 3 days after the scandalous event, before showing up at today’s Question Period – in quite a defensive mood, yet i.m.o. not in responsible mode.
His chart is quite affected at this time, acutely via the Harvest SuperMoon activating his card. T-square of:
The SUN in early CAP (conscious leadership / responsibility?) – PLUTO in early LIBRA (diplomacy / right relationship – vs. / in a position of power / destruction / ‘Ground Zero’ of relationships / diplomacy?) –
And the stellium of MARS / CHIRON / MOON:
MARS end of PI (diffusing / confusing / vanishing / disappearing warrior; fighting battles that spill out) – CHIRON in AR – he had his CHIRON Return in 2021 / 22 (wounded / wounding warrior – where’s courage, authenticity, new beginnings that would be required for healing?! What’s that got to do with his early childhood wounds?) – MOON in AR – in 2023 activated by CHIRON (a need for bold / too headstrong (re-)action / taking things too personally / inflammatory responses).
The MOON relates to the Feminine, and for countries and politicians also to the People. What do the People want and need Trudeau to do (a.s.a.p.)?!
Also, his opposition between SATURN (dispositor of his CAP SUN) retro on the MC in early GEM (mastery of speech / finding the right words – work in progress???) and his NEPTUNE in early SAG (vision / oversight / connecting with a broad spectrum of cultures?) are this year squared by SATURN (also retro, until Nov 4) in early PI (showing responsibility and leadership in chaos / inter-related snowball effects) – right on his DC (and we thought it was ‘just’ his marriage that fell apart…).
And: NEPTUNE end of PI approaches T’s MARS, these years (a once-in-a-lifetime transit). The SATURN – NEPTUNE conj. on the PI / AR cusp in March 2025 / Jan 2026 will be on T’s MARS.
I’d be surprised if he was still PM by then…
SO much will unravel by then, everywhere…
Definitely a lot coming to fruition for J.T.
As well as for Canada, with ARIES AC / NEPTUNE in the country chart, with this Harvest SuperMOON in AR – LIBRA (see Her chart below).
She IS a ‘Pseudo Eclipse’, in the signs of the Nodal Axis (AR – LI).
We shall see how things roll out, as the Annular ‘Ring of Fire’ Solar Release Eclipse in LIBRA (on the Canadian DC / on T’s URANUS / LILITH) kicks in, on Oct 14.
Harvest SuperMoon Effects for All of Us
The MOON will enter ARIES at 5:17 pm PDT today Sept 28.
To become exactly FULL at 2:58 am PDT on Sept 29 (see chart below).
And rise as the Harvest SuperMoon, on the evenings of Sept 28 & 29!
An agitated, hot & fiery Full Moon atmosphere, that’s for sure.
She will be super close to CHIRON, the Archetype of Healing (esp. on the evening of Sept 29), plus approach the North Node end of AR, on Sept 30.
Since the Full Moon axis in AR – LI is close to the Nodal Axis (SN in LIBRA / NN in ARIES, since mid-July), it’s even what I call a ‘Pseudo ‘Seed’ Eclipse’ (would be a Lunar ‘Seed’ Eclipse if the alignment was closer).
A call for healing (rather than more warring wounding), through showing up authentically & bravely, and making a fresh start.
Experienced personally in the realm of life related to ARIES in our charts – see last segment below.
Let’s take a look at the
Fruition & Harvest Themes of 2023
We’re still in the middle of the 2023 Retro Record.
A phase that offers opportunities galore (yet some in the disguise of challenges) to tie up loose ends, and bring old (perhaps karmic, definitely habitual) patterns to a conclusion.
Currently, there are still Six Planets retro, incl. JUPITER, SATURN, CHIRON, URANUS, NEPTUNE, and PLUTO.
HARVESTING with SATURN
SATURN is known to be the ‘grim reaper’ or even Father Death with the scythe – showing us what IS old and dead, and ripe to be cut and pruned.
SATURN in PI (March 7, 2023 – Feb 14, 2026) is now retro (June 17 – Nov 4).
Teachings / warnings about the effects of chaos, domino effects, overwhelm, confusion, addictions, loosing oneself, via media and otherwise.
Retro effect: Finding authority & responsibility within, esp. in a spiritual context, rather than externalizing / projecting / rejecting it.
“When’s a good time to start committing, planning, and building again?”
I’d suggest: Wait at least until the SCO New Moon (Nov 13).
Always better to start after the NM – and to give SATURN (turns direct on Nov 4) some time to shift gears.
HARVESTED by PLUTO
The deep down / far out PLUTO – Archetype of transformational Evolution that’s ‘upon’ us – harvests & processes what’s naturally subject to change.
Often by rolling out shadow manifestations of the old, while the winds of change are underway.
PLUTO is the transpersonal level of MARS – Higher Power, beyond the personal Warrior Archetype of assertion and vital energy.
PLUTO these years (2008 – 2023) in CAP shows where the ‘Old Empire is expiring’… and the ‘Old Regime’ / corrupt / power abusive systems of ‘leadership’ are SO due for an upgrade that honours & yields to the signs of the time:
A wiser, more respectful way of working with time, natural resources, and natural laws.
Bringing our best & most powerful essence to the table – it’s timely.
PLUTO is now retro (every year for 5 months, in 2023 May 1 – Oct 10).
Power issues have been ‘harvested’ – to show us where we give power away to others, esp. (with hierarchical CAP) to those UP there in ‘Power’, while true solid inalienable Soul Power & Integrity that can’t be usurped resides within.
(Inter)personal Power issues have also been ‘harvested’ with PLUTO retro:
Ah – there we go again – and see how it’s really an inside game!
As we connect with / as Source, what happens?
Wherever (esp. late) CAP is in your chart you learn these years with the PLUTO effect what Power-to-Change really means to you.
P.S. LOVE is a good candidate for the most powerful change agent that can ‘move mountains’ (a la CAP) – as the New Horizon’s mission to PLUTO perhaps revealed in July 2015 (see photo).
So hey, what’s with the
ARIES Harvest SuperMoon connecting w. CHIRON?!
You can see them together, in the Harvest Moon chart below (not in the sky though, since CHIRON is a small – although significant – Planetoid).
This Harvest SuperMoon in ARIES – LIBRA activates & accentuates CHIRON – in ARIES since 2019.
CHIRON in AR currently retro (July 23 – Dec 26) – and brought out fully by the Harvest SuperMoon – is about Healing through Inner Medicine and / of Authenticity.
While the established ‘War Medicine’ is in full force ramped up – yet also evolutionarily on the way out (the Military-Industrial Complex being the only winner in the on-going Ukraine proxy war – at the expense of soldiers and civilians, and as seen in the ‘warfare approach’ in the established medical battle field…)…
A new Medicine and courageous Warriors of Life & Peace & of the Future are emerging…
War is not the answer. A new approach (ARIES) is needed.
When CHIRON was in ARIES last time, 1968 – 1977, the devastating, corrupt, and traumatic Vietnam war finally ended – after massive worldwide protests.
Let’s take a look at the
Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon, at exactly 6°00′ ARIES

All emotions are at first possessive, and all cultural manifestations operate on the principle of exclusion.
All that does not belong to the tribal sphere (one blood, one land, one folk) is the potential enemy.
This is a necessary phase, for – as in the case of “the Woman Emerging from the Sea” (1° ARIES) – the first attempt at building an inner realization of integral being may be defeated at any time by the regressive pull toward undifferentiation and the prenatal state of non-individualization within the vast womb of nature or within unformed cosmic space.
This first stage of the second five-fold sequence of symbols presents the theme which will be dialectically developed – a five-phase dialectical process:
A ONE-SIDED URGE FOR INNER STABILITY.”
The image of the Kaaba – the sacred pilgrimage site for Muslims in Mecca – may or may not be an apt representation of this Sabian Symbol.
The ARIES like desire to BE, according to the description, is very primal and tribally-exclusive.
It’s not my intention to attribute this impulse specifically to Muslim cultures.
Yet religions of all kinds (represented by PISCES, where NEPTUNE & SATURN ‘linger’ – ‘behind’ ARIES’), incl. modern versions of collective worship of (fill in the blanks) can foster tribal exclusivity – and by extension: warfare.
And many wars are religiously or territorially motivated.
Definitely one of the old / intrinsic / conditioned wounds of war (CHIRON retro in ARIES)
How then can the notion to be connected in something vaster (PI) that gives personal stability (AR) be satisfied in more peaceful & cooperative ways?
ARIES – in contrast to LIBRA – can be very one-sided, and urging (for whatever reason, maybe survival / emergency).
What’s wounded (CHIRON) about this, and needs healing?
Literally warfare?
Conditioning for antagonistic / competitive modes of being?
Which bring us to…
The LIBRA (and Entourage) Side of the Equation

With the still-Equinox SUN freshly in LIBRA, surrounded by VENUS (Ruler of LIBRA) & LILITH on the ‘Sphinx Point’ from LEO (ruled by the SUN) to VIRGO (entering on Oct 4 / 8), and MERCURY (Ruler of VIRGO) about to enter LIBRA on Oct 4, we’re offered conscious (SUN) reflections of self awareness, and healthy, harmonious relationships.
MARS & the South Node ‘ahead’ of the SUN, end of LIBRA, the warning goes to not force anything, nor damage ‘diplomacy’ / right relations with your actions(!).
And in balance with ARIES:
* What would be conscious (SUN) choices (LIBRA) that meet the need (MOON) to be genuinely & fully YOU (ARIES)?
Hint – it starts with: Choose Yourself!
* What’s negotiable (LIBRA) / small stuff (VIR), and what’s not a good match / not compatible (LIBRA) or not aligned & healthy, based on Self Awareness (VENUS & LILITH entering VIRGO)?
* How could a partnership look like (LIBRA) that brings out the partners’ authentic Medicine (CHIRON in ARIES) – where the light is reflected in one another?
* Baby steps at a time (ARIES) are fine and normal…
* Putting too much energy (MARS in LIBRA) into sitting on the fence, weighing & waiting (for the other to make a move, for ‘something’ to happen and tip the scale) doesn’t do it much longer (esp. with the SN in LIBRA).
Good thing MARS goes over the ‘Tipping Point’ into SCO on Oct 11, encouraging us to ‘dive in’.
And good thing the Harvest SuperMOON in ARIES w. CHIRON retro & the North Node nearby remind us already: Just go for it, and the next steps will emerge.
Lots of questions to consider, with the Solar energy and from Oct 4 on also MERCURY in LIBRA, joining the SUN & MARS.
Being truly, spontaneously authentic in / as oneself (ARIES) naturally supports good choices.
I know, it can be a balancing act to bring one’s true authentic Nature into relationship.
Yet, it’s also good to examine whether that’s an issue rather from the perspective of the conditioned identity, and what the free, authentic Self would say or do…

‘Hourglass’ Configuration & ‘Pseudo Eclipse’
Can you see the ‘two camps’ / polarities, from the late LEO to the late LIBRA realm, and from the late CAP to the late TAU realm?
The main ‘scene’ being of course the ARIES – LIBRA juxtaposition, with the Full Moon & Nodal Axis.
The association with the Nodal Axis makes this Full Moon also a ‘Pseudo Lunar ‘Seed’ Eclipse’ (SUN and MOON aren’t close enough to the Nodes for a Partial or Total Eclipse).
The emphasis here is on stepping forward with courage & authenticity (AR FM w. NN) – not war (destructive side of ARIES).
The ‘actual’ Eclipse Season starts with the next NM on Oct 14 – the ‘American’ Annular Solar ‘Release’ Eclipse in LIBRA.
Martian Involvement
LIBRA is the sign attributed to peace and diplomacy.
The current world scenario is not so peaceful, really.
Antagonistic MARS is involved on the LIBRAN side, and approaches a critical phase at the very end of its LIBRA activation (until Oct 11):
OCT 6 – 8
MARS end of LI meets the South Node / opposes the North Node & ERIS in AR (ruled by MARS) and squares PLUTO (MARS’s ‘higher octave’ / transpersonal dimension), retro / stat. (going direct on Oct 10) in late CAP – an intense cardinal T-square!
Fights over justice and equality, issues war and / or peace can erupt, triggered by division, (pre)election scenarios can get quite belligerent and antagonistic.
Conflicts can unearth more hidden power dynamics, shadow and other re-petitive patterns of the ‘Old Empires’.
Boldly-authentically showing up & standing up for balance & right relationship restores natural laws and regenerates natural power.
Conflict is ON. May it lead to productive outcomes.
‘Fierce Midwife‘ ERIS
Also in ARIES, often ignored (which is tragically fitting Her Archetype), and currently super closely aligned w. the North Node: ERIS.
Both are traveling retro together.
The MARS – PLUTO – Nodal T-square activation early Oct brings out ERIS.
Astronomically, She’s the most massive and second-largest ‘dwarf planet’ known in the Solar System, and was given this astronomical status in 2006 (originally named ‘Planet X’ / ‘Xena’).
That happened in the process when PLUTO was demoted as a Planet – while in late SAG, the Galactic Centre(!).
Since ERIS has almost the same diameter as PLUTO, and size matters for astronomical classifications:
If PLUTO had retained its Planet status, ERIS and CERES had to be reclassified as Planets too which the astronomical system / consciousness wasn’t ready for.
More about ERIS
Regardless of her astronomical ‘status’, ERIS came big time into collective consciousness these years.
ERIS has a highly elliptical orbit that takes her 558 years(!) around the SUN – more than twice as long as far-out PLUTO (248 years).
She’s in ARIES for a super long time, since 1922, until 2040 – for most of / the entire life time of most humans alive.
Even if you have ‘nothing in ARIES’ you do: ERIS.
Who / what / which Archetype actually is ERIS, and how does She show up now personally and societally?

Mythological ERIS is the sister of MARS / ARES (and may well co-rule ARIES, for that matter).
In Greek Mythology,
“She stirs up jealousy and envy, to cause fighting and anger among men. At the wedding of Peleus and Thetis, all the Gods were invited with the exception of Eris. Enraged at her exclusion, she spitefully caused a quarrel among the Goddesses that led to the Trojan War.”
The ERIS Archetype – Greek goddess of discord & strife – seeds disruption & separation, is vengeful & confrontational, because she’s excluded / not welcome at the table / not invited to the ‘ceremony’.
So much conflict & strife have been triggered / found outlets these years – as the socio-political Plutocratic (which means literally: rulership of the wealthy’) ‘exclusive games’ of the 1% elite / supremacy (CAP shadow) have been revealed (PLUTO).
The old and dying hierarchical top-down world shows its shadow ever so intensely (PLUTO), at the expense and exclusion of us ‘regular’ People, and of minorities who feel left out of the ‘democratic’ decision making process, and even deprived of their / our constitutional (CAP) rights & freedoms.
Feelings of separation & exclusion have been captured, and re-seeded into mass consciousness, via the (all) media and their deceptive / programming potential, and via ‘disruptive technology’, fanning discord & polarization, which can be abused in so many ways, and can be socially erosive (if not explosive)…
ERIS’s Archetype shows also how ‘small things’ can lead to major effects.
We’ve seen a LOT of polarization & discord in Humanity, triggered through the Corona Crisis.
The ‘Coronation’ theme is also very symbolic for the ERIS Archetype in ARIES, who says: Don’t give sovereignty away!
MARS was in ARIES in 2020 for an extended time (July – early Jan 2021), where He even went retro mid-Sept – early Nov), to activate ERIS 3 times(!).
Perhaps, the then activated combo of ERIS & MARS comes to fruition for healing, with this Harvest SuperMoon together w. CHIRON, and shows in a transformed & empowered way (PLUTO squares the Nodal Axis & ERIS):
The sum of small determined & courageous actions (rather than upset re-actions) can help shift global consciousness, and move us into the NEW Inclusive Way of Being with one another on this Planet Home!
May the Harvest SuperMoon in ARIES give us a boost to be authentic & adamant, show up, stand up & assert ourselves, and the Life Force itself.
And may CHIRON now in ARIES, and approaching ERIS (exact in 2025, and in the making) help with healing the wounds that trigger wars!
Our best & deepest resources, our core / Soul Power, and ancestral wisdom / history (PLUTO retro / stat. end of CAP, T-squared by the Nodal Axis & ERIS) need to come on board too, in an empowering and transformational way, at this crisis / critical time!
Personal CHIRON in ARIES Themes
…brought out by the Harvest SuperMoon.
Here are some themes you probably recognize, esp. if you have your SUN / MOON / AC, or Planets – or you even have CHIRON in ARIES.
* Find the Medicine of being Authentically YOU!
* Wake up, and emerge from the Collective Consciousness.
Which can be scary, and / or hugely liberating & renewing.
* CHIRON brings up ‘wounds’ & awkwardness.
We feel like an outsider.
With the ARIES flavour
…when it seems like we’re the only / first one doing something, when we show up or stand up for ourselves, by ourselves, for what matters to us.
* It might be also awkward if we didn’t have role models, or their teachings don’t apply to THIS. Yet, what the heck? says ARIES, It’s my life, this is ME.
ARIES is a Warrior / Survivor.
All about the NOW.
* Alive, alert, letting life force emerge in every moment.
* Time for fresh beginnings – or for simply being present with what’s always NEW.
* If it ‘doesn’t work’ try something else (ARIES doesn’t mind starting anew).
The essence of being innovative.
* Expressing anger (MARS / ARIES) can be your vulnerability (and you might have turned passive-aggressive / cynical / repressed it if anger isn’t / wasn’t ok) yet also guide you to your Medicine.
The Harvest SuperMoon w. CHIRON, in our ARIES House
If you were born with CHIRON in ARIES (Apr – Oct 1968, and Feb 1969 – March 1977) you know a bit (or a lot) about the CHIRONic & ARIES sides described above…
For you, round age 50, CHIRON makes / has made its Return, and your ‘original wound / Medicine’ comes full circle.
