On Sept 22,the SUN entered LIBRA. Equinox Season is here! The timely prime theme isBalance – Balance – Balance…
Doesn’t mean, things ARE in Balance (in many ways far from…), but how important it is.
Likewise, you might wonder: “I’m / they are a LIBRA (via SUN sign) yet having all these relationship troubles, and am / are SO not in balance…”
To which I say (nice opportunity to clarify, under MERCURY retro):
The SUN sign you’re born under doesn’t indicate what you’re ‘good at’, or even what ‘comes natural’ (which is rather shown by your MOON and AC). The SUN is where your Consciousness and Spirit are being activated – a life long journey. Hopefully, that takes the pressure off, to be a ‘better’ LIBRA, TAURUS, AQ…
Yin-Yang Balance Point
The Equinox Balance Point in the cycle between Earth and SUN not only shows us how light and darkness are in perfect balance – for a moment in time, within a cosmic cycle.
It also reminds us of the importance of Balance in our human personal, interpersonal, and transpersonal world.
The essence of timeless Tao Wisdom: Yin-Yang Balance is always dynamic and interwoven.
How balanced are you, when it comes to… Your inner Masculine – your inner Feminine? Left brain – right brain engagement? Activity – rest & regeneration? Pursuing and creating – magnetically attracting? Giving – receiving?
What it means to live a balanced life is of course different for everyone. TheNew Moon on the Equinox StillPoint says, it’s your call. Just know how YOU operate best / what’s healthy and in alignment for you (VIRGO ‘background’), and live harmoniously (LIBRA) accordingly.
Wherever (esp. early) LIBRA is in your chart (whichever astrological house/s it’s in) that’s the area in life where you realize the importance of balance – and where opportunities for you present, to learn about your themes around harmony, fairness, right relationship, and also where you experience dilemmas, and feel the need to make important choices.

Learning, thinking, communicating (GEMINI, where MARS is these days / months, Aug 20 – March 26!). While GEMINI Ruler MERCURY retro (having just met the SUN on Sept 22 – ‘New Mercury’) helps us get out of old mental patterns, and out of being caught in the mind (mind-fullness), to be free for mindfulness.
Co-creating in synergy with like-spirited / light-spirited / free-spirited friends and in community, for the future of our shared Humanity – while removing the (inner / outer) obstacles that divide Humanity, and separate us from other People (AQ, with SATURN currently retro, yet turning around on Oct 22 – last day of LIBRA).

Right Relationship?!
We’re in LIBRA season (since Sept 22 – Fall Equinox)!

The LIBRA painting to the left symmetrically features SUN & MOON in the Infinity symbol (a # 8 on its side – also reflecting the Major Arcana VIII card in Tarot: Balance).
Below them a scene from the Egyptian Book of the Dead, with deities Hathor and Thoth weighing the Heart of the deceased in the urn against the Feather of Maat – which represents the ‘judgment’ of souls via wisdom / intellect / reason (yang), and love / compassion (yin). Only the Heart that proves to be as light as the feathermakes the transition into the otherworld.
Both Thoth and Hathor float in a cloud opening ‘generated’ by a yin-yang symbol. Below them are two Assyrian sphinxes, male and female on masonic tiled floor, with their right paws on a glass cube altar with a LIBRA symbol out of which a Rose springs, while a Lily emerges from the frame below. All in symmetry and balance.
Being in Right Relationship, starting with the Inner and Outer Feminine & Masculine, as well as Equality, Balance and Fairness, are all important issues for LIBRA. LIBRA rules courtship and also courts…
End of LIBRA is close to the ‘Tipping Point’ cusp over to SCO (which the SUN enters on Oct 23) – choices lead to change / have consequences. The transformation begins. But hey, we’re not there yet…

The New Moon will be exact at 2:55 pm PDT tomorrow Sept 25, 2022.
Interesting accumulation of (5!) 2’s and (3) 5’s. In the Chakra system, that would relate to Sacral (2nd Chakra – JUPITER associated) and Throat (5th Chakra – MERCURY is the associated Planet) – Cultivating Joy & Speaking our Truth.
And it’s a Sunday (start of the week, and of the season).
What a cuspy opposition dynamic, between late PI (NEPTUNE retro) / AR (JUPITER retro / CHIRON retro) and late VIR (VENUS / MERCURY retro) / early LI (SUN / MOON)!
A New Moon that presents like a Full Moon… Balancing & bridging of polarities is ever so important now – as we live in a polarized world. Inner dichotomies also need to be reconciled, and synergized.
When elements pull into two opposing directions, so much energy is invested / lost in this process. Yet, when these oh-so-different, yet potentially quite complementary opposites can be bridged and synergized, it can be an innovative process, and a new, more evolved, combined expression of the parts can be co-created (MERCURY retro, now in the ‘Promethean’ phase behind the SUN, next to VENUS, and the SoLunar Union, all wrapping around the VIR – LI ‘Design Point’)
Yes, that also requires surrender, letting go of old attachments / addictions / entanglements, and cultivating openness (NEPTUNE retro in PI), to see things freshly, and with gratitide for the gifts of the new (JUPITER retro in AR), and for the Healing / Medicine of Authenticity& Presence (CHIRON in AR) that emerges now.
The central opposition (of the many Planets involved) is the one between the New Moon in LIBRA and JUPITER retro in AR (which is also closest to the Earth now, since 1963). Calling for a new, broader, more positive, and trusting approach, rather than getting caught up in details that inform choices. What makes you happy NOW??? Life is only really happening in the NOW.
VENUS & MERCURY retro end of VIR form an Earth Trine w. PLUTO retro / stat. (slowing down its motion, to go out of retro on Oct 8) end of CAP (also w. a VIR undertone) while also opposing NEPTUNE, end of PI. What helps with a foundational, tangible transformation, in a quite practical way, likely relating to choices round health, wellness, lifestyle, work? While it looks like the ‘operating system’ of the well-established ‘Old Empire’, with its corrupt structures in the corporate-governmental context is backing off, as ‘old school’ expressions of power & control just don’t work anymore.

An Initiatory Ceremony (VIR – LI), and ‘spontaneous’ Emergence (PI – AR), of a New World (JUPITER in AR) – at which we are invited to be the well-balanced co-Innovators.
Where early LIBRA is in your chart…

The SUN crossing from VIRGO to LIBRA, the cosmic point of ‘Perfect Balance’, signifies the Fall Equinox.
This week, the days and nights are (almost) exactly equally long, in the Northern and Southern Hemisphere, as the SUN is exactly above the Equator! Equi-nox literally means in Latin: Equal night.
Here’s a nice and clear astronomical Equinox illustration, together with some deets about why daylight & night time are not precisely (ha, VIRGO) equal at Equinox, around the globe (hint: it has to do with the definition of ‘sunrise’ and ‘sunset’), and that there’s also such a thing as Equi-lux.

Celtic Wheel of the Year, with the cardinal Turning Points of the Equinoxes (incl. Mabon = Fall Equinox), Solstices, and the cardinal, mid-seasonal ‘Gates of Power
On this Balance Point, we celebrate one of the four Solar Turning Points of the Year: Autumnal Equinox, a.k.a. Mabon.
In the Medicine Wheel it’s related to the West, the place of the Setting Sun.
Which corresponds with LIBRA in the Zodiac, the energy we’re moving into now, with the Fall Equinox: LIBRA rules the 7th House above the Western horizon – the astrological field related to one-on-one relationships with significant others in our lives.
With the Fall Equinox, we’re also moving from the ‘Realm of the Sun’ – Spring and Summer in the Northern hemisphere when day light is longer than the night time – , to the ‘Realm of the Moon’ – Fall and Winter, when night hours are longer than day light.

The Fall Equinox 2022 – the SUN entering LIBRA – is at 6:04 / (6:10 pm, according to this Astro program) PDT.
The Autumn Season is ‘birthed’ by the Sphinxy Moon (end of LEO – entering VIRGO in the early hours of Sept 23). Calling us tobe self-loving, self-aware, channel the harvest of our radiance into service, and doing the good work that keeps us well too.
PISCES /ARIES – VIRGO / LIBRA Dynamics, for Starters…
Quite a shift, since the Harvest Moon in PI – VIR, on Sept 10 – just 2 days after QE II’s passing. An outpouring of a huge wave of emotions & ‘free floating energy’ – and harvest, in karmic & spiritual ways. Now it’s rolling out, under the waning Moon, before the LIBRA New Moon on Sept 25.
The chart carries quite a dynamic signature: Lots of energies in the VIRGO / LIBRA field (VENUS, SUN, MERCURY retro) – and in contrast in the PISCES – ARIES realm (NEPTUNE retro, JUPITER retro, CHIRON retro). Acting on choices, yet also feeling the freshness of life, with choices perhaps already made… a vulnerable, raw, yet also healing space…

Sept 9 – Oct 2 is the Retro Record phase of the Year – SEVEN Planets in reverse gear: MERCURY, JUPITER, SATURN, CHIRON, URANUS, NEPTUNE, PLUTO.
* A time to fully regenerate (rather than do what we’ve always done and see the same effects…).
* A great time to go deeper into what’s been ‘stored away’ and ‘left behind’, on all levels.
* A wonderful time for us introverts / introspective people.

JUPITER in ARIES-PISCES (has been retro since July 28 – Nov 23; back in PI from Oct 27 on) A view of the world based on survival, and old Pisces Age co-dependency dynamics between victim – perpetrator – saviour.
SATURN in AQ (retro June 4 – Oct 22) Old REpetitive patterns, karma, blocks and obstacles of being alone, isolated, an outsider – shunned, blamed, discriminated, ‘in the cold’, or of not being able to relate to ‘the people’ / society.

On Sept 8, surprisingly to many, Queen Elizabeth II passed at age 96, just months after her 70-year platinum jubilee.
She was the longest reigning monarch in the modern world – from post-WWII to the digital age.
The public announcement of the Royal Family stated, she died ‘peacefully’ – without any mention of a cause of death.
She left just one day after her last official appointment – With new British PM Liz Truss, at her Scottish Balmoral Castle residence, swearing her in / asking her to form a new government. In office until the very end…
The massive wave of mourning, deeply evocative, unifying – yet also divisive (Queen / monarchy loyalists vs. abolitionists), has been rolling out over the last 10 days, culminating at today’s historic funeral – intensely-immensely fed / fueled by the media (all oh-so Piscean).
Evoking / provoking a plethora of responses, inward-backward turning in grief / reflection, or outward-turning in proclamations, mirroring / amplifying the Zeitgeist, and state of the collective psyche in GB, and the world.
The intention with this article …is to explore & take a glimpse at several facets of the Queen’s personality and what she represented, archetypally – via her astrological birth chart and planetary transits.
I also have her progressions – for Sept 8, but it would be too extensive to also address all this here in this article. If you’re interested, let’s discuss. And I’m happy to send it to you.
In no way can the article claim to be nearly ‘comprehensive’ about this ‘larger than life’ historic figure of the 20th / early 21st century.
Queen Elizabeth’s Birth Chart
Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor was born on April 21, 1926, at 2:39 am (other sources say: 2:40 am) GDT, in Mayfair, London, GB.
This chart shows also transits for the time of her death, on Sept 8, 2022, round 6 pm (given that the official announcement came at 6:30 pm).
Pledging Rock-Solid Service– and Expecting Loyalty
Yes, indeed, the Queen was born mature, and prone to take on a position of responsibility & service / duty, to carry and uphold a significant historic structure, to keep calm, composed, self-controlled, and carry on. Her Ascendant & South Node not even a degree apart) were in late CAP (with VIR undertone). The ruling Planet of CAP / ruler of her chart, SATURN features ever so prominent, right on the MC, in SCO, and retro. The retro SATURN in the last part of SCO (w. PISCES undertone) can also point to having to give up one’s ‘personal plans’ for an important & powerful cause. And: being super private & controlled, in ‘public relations’. There would have been so much more behind the ‘curtain’ / closed doors than what the public got to see.
It’s been said, CAP seems older when young, and younger when old. And: CAP is about aging well (well… in public function until age 96, platinum jubilee – unheard-of).
I learned, her very first public appearance was a well-rehearsed radio broadcast in 1940 (age 14) in the midst of WWII, to give a morale-boosting radio speech to children who had been taken overseas to escape the war – yet the young teen princess Elizabeth was also apparently strategically positioned to charm the U.S. into ally-ship with England – which was a grand success. Such an interesting overt CANCER / CAP juxtaposition, and a covert SATURN retro in SCO theme mixed in too…
On her 21st birthday in 1947, the Crown Princess took in a radio broadcast the vow of dedication of her life to service – “…to you all, and to the imperial family to which we all belong…” – What seems often omitted is the often quoted piece: “I shall not have strength to carry out this resolution alone, unless you join in it with me, as I now invite you to do. I know your support will be unfailingly given…”
Expressing the CAP – AQ continuum of a position of leadership & people / community (yes, her MARS / JUPITER conj. was in AQ) – linked to a binding mutuality, a la SATURN in SCO – on her MC, squaring the AQ planets.
Also, her PLUTO in the 6th House of Service comes with the North Node on the 7th House cusp – in service to the Family & Country and its people. With a power / control element mixed-in – which begs the questions: In what order & framework, re: Royal Family / Country & People? How did she use, or was instrumentalized by, the power of the monarchic institution? A power that’s politically apparently ‘just symbolic’, yet psychically immensely powerful. Here’s again the dichotomy of the CAP – CAN (her karmic nodal) axis.
Stability on the Throne
QE II was an ‘ever present’ archetypal Mother-Queen-Ruler figure & epitome of stability, in her unwavering & consistent / resilient representation of the institution of the British monarchy… …which / whom some devotedly identified with, while others despised – at best, as anachronistic, or: in dire need to be abolished. Well, a strongly developed Archetype naturally evokes push-back.
So much in-built inclination to stability in her chart:
* Rock-solid CAP Rising / South Node Can’t not rise to the occasion, to take a position of authority, tradition, to represent an institution, outlasts many, ages well, is strong, serious, and stoic, to carry through & carry on.
* AC / Chart Ruler SATURN on the MC With CAP Rising, SATURN was the Queen’s ruling planet – AND it shows up exactly on the Midheaven (a position that’s ruled by SATURN), in SCO and retro Responsibility via death (her dad’s, King George VI – reigning 1936 – 1952), post-destruction (WWII which she experienced as a teenager), and through times of massive change. Well, on a deeper level, it can also represented repetitive life lessons – perhaps around resistance to / trying to control the change?
* Most of the Queen’s planets are in all 4 fixed signs: TAU: SUN (barely, cuspy) LEO: MOON / NEPTUNE retro / LILITH SCO: SATURN retro / MC AQ: MARS / JUPITER Holding power & tradition in place.
The Crown – and: Mystique of Royalty
Well – look at this stellium of MOON / NEPTUNE retro / LILITH in LEO, in her 7th House!
QE II embodied the RegalFeminine – elegant, naturally confident, self-possessed – a colourful-vibrant representation of the Monarchy, while exuding an allure of mystique.
No wonder she was loved & adored by so many. Certainly also via projection. Via the Queen, one could be part of something bigger & grander & more glorious, than what ‘ordinary life’ looks like. Which would have been so important during WWII already (when she became a ‘famous Princess’), as PLUTO had just entered LEO (1939 – 1957) – and for the PLUTO-in-LEO born Boomer generation who grew up & have lived with the Queen as THE Monarch in their life.
What’s with the LILITH (well, even: Elizabeth / Lilibet…), linked w. NEPTUNE – opp. MARS / JUPITER in AQ, and both sides in T-square w. SATURN retro in SCO?
On one hand, the naturally-creative & playfully-expressive ‘Wild Woman’ needed to be sacrificed / faded away. On the other hand, she became exalted and a living myth, exceptional, fascinating, perhaps most widely / well-known woman of the century, and model to many (yet with a ‘je ne sais quoi’ factor).
Perhaps, in a paradoxical / ironic way, being in the position of the Queen, she contributed to the Spirit of the Women’s Movement (of course, her position came via regal birth right – yet a symbol nevertheless), in an era where women became much more publicly visible and (self-)empowered.
Yep, that Fixed T-square to Saturn…
Fixed T-squares are generally the most challenging ones. Yet, T-squares and other challenging configurations are also often part of public figures / celebrities. They tend to have lots of tension (squares, opposition) and power (fixed) to hold / deal with.
The fixed mode was the strongest in the Queen’s chart (21 out of 37 points, followed by cardinal, with 12, and, unsurprisingly, low on mutable, with 4).
The Queen’s fixed T-square of SATURN retro in SCO on top of her chart (MC), squared by the LEO & AQ Planets, is extra strong & prominent, since:
* Strong / ruling SATURN (see above) – and apex / outlet of the built-up tension.
* Squares have a MARS association – and the Queen had her MARS – even amplified by JUPITER – as part of the T-square, both squaring SATURN.
* The MOON makes the experience very personal, and w. NEPTUNE, apparently inescapable.
There’s the juxtaposition of / tension between being a girl born into a web of privilege / monarchy / status (MOON / NEPTUNE in LEO, intercepted in her 7th House), via ‘being married’ to her family (CANCER – w. NN – on her DC), and her perhaps very free spiritedness, strong masculine side, jovial nature, popular with the People, and: having gathered so much understanding of global systems (MARS / JUPITER in AQ, intercepted in her 1st House) – no wonder, given her longevity, and having experienced so many leaders and structures (CAP AC / South Node).
Of course, MARS / JUPITER in AQ (now transited by SATURN – more about this below) also has to do with her having extensively traveled to, and been so vitally present in the British Commonwealth.
All overseen & controlled by SATURN retro on the MC: Her rulership legacy via death of her dad, and the required adherence to internalized laws, protocols, and responsibilities, which she did so apparently well – and / or was so consistently & naturally self-controlled.
When the Moon is in the 7th House…
Well, fascinating, that the Queen actually had her LEO MOON in the 7th House, and her JUPITER in AQ aligned with MARS…. What does that remind you of? (I don’t know what inspired the astro reference in the lyrics) She indeed represented the outflowing of the PISCES Age (given her Neptunian & Piscean themes), and the dawning of the AQ Age.
The latter is more & more on its rise now, and shall become more & more prominent, once PLUTO enters AQ, in 2023 / 24, and NEPTUNE leaves PISCES, where it is for the last grand wash-up, until 2026.
A transition from collective / mass consciousness, religious & pseudo-religious movements, the lately ever so immersive & inescapable omni-presence of the media, and the infamous co-dependent triad of victim-perpetrator-saviour, to more individualistic & self-chosen group consciousness, and from hierarchy to circle.
Not to say, this is ‘going to happen’ automatically, let alone in its utopian version only. It can be / is happening now as, a deathing / ending – transition – rebirth process. And shadow phenomena of ‘the New’ are emerging in the process too, as in: technocratic dystopia. Wondering what role the monarchy would still play in the emerging / shifting paradigms…
Goes to show, in so many – even unexpected – ways, QE II was larger than life – what an Archetype of the Century!
Other Themes in her Chart
…that haven’t been explored here yet:
Starting with her SUN at 1°12 TAURUS – on the ‘Settling Point’… …where Spirit manifests, energies are being embodied, and where one takes a position, and takes a seat – quite literally, at the Throne! And she sat and sat, sat through so much, sat things out, represented stability, in good and tumultuous times.
Early TAU has a CAP undertone – another link to her rock-solid AC where it’s about a position of authority. Ironically / paradoxically, politically-externally / in accordance with her role, she wasn’t taking a position – self-controlled SATURN on the MC – (not explicitly, anyway, but her embodiment and function spoke for themselves).
Also, her SUN was most unaspected(!), only via link to CHIRON end of AR. The ‘wound’ of being so young, the first and only one (check out that footage of her being the young and only woman in these parades, functions etc, in the early years), not having a precedent for the unique way how it all started in 1952, and the ‘Medicine’ of staying young and fresh, not rushing into things, going one step at a time, and: being fully present (which lots of people who met her attested to).
All of this would have ‘fed’ into her Spirit (the SUN), and how she related her values to her environment & ‘extended family’ (no kidding) – on the cusp of her 3rd House. In a consistent / stable – some would say stubborn – the qu on the ARIES / TAU cusp – way.
* VENUS in mid-PI (SCO undertone), and URANUS end of PI, leading over to MERCURY in early AR (doubly-AR), inhabiting her 2nd House (VENUS on the cusp with the 1st) Now, that’s got to do (house wise) with what she owned & valued (her body, possessions / property, physically as well as figuratively). Together w. MOON / NEPTUNE, a PISCES flavour in her chart, personally (VENUS), and transpersonally (URANUS / NEPTUNE – connecting w. the MOON) – her connection with the collective, and unifying function.
* VENUS is super-well positioned: She’s considered exalted in PI, and in Her own ‘Taurean’ House (since she rules TAU). Infinite wealth & / via connections, of which a lot would be hidden / camouflaged too (mid-PI has SCO undertone) – and as it seemed, she valued the spiritual too. While being herself also being elated to a mythic, Goddess-like status.
* URANUS, the ruler of AQ end of PI (doubly-PI) – also a hint to her function and public ‘value’ of embodying the Zeitgeist of the transition from PISCES to AQ Age. She had her URANUS Return (that not so many people even experience), in 2010-11, at age 84. Up to you bio / history buffs to relate these years to events in her life.
* MERCURY early ARIES (doubly-AR) is also well positioned, since it’s the esoteric Ruler of AR. Even though, it was unaspected, which can be a hindrance or a bonus – this Archetype has ‘a life of its own’ – in the Queen’s case, relating to her mental / communicative side. MERCURY in AR can manifest through mental clarity, sharpness, freshness, new original ideas, boldness & directness of speech, and positive spirit (“There’ll be a new beginning”) – which I believe she was expressing quite well. And already in her early (age 14) wartime radio broadcast, appealing to children of the future.
* The ‘Emergence / Presence Point’ – which I call the PI – AR cusp, linking URANUS & MERCURY in QE II’s chart. Something / someone emerges and presents as an individual, out of the collective. Did she ever show up – surprisingly so (URANUS)! Initially, at her ascending to the throne, and in challenging situations. Her death had this signature too (and Planets transited – see below) – which came sudden and surprising (even unexpected) to many – where even her family was rushing to the farewell. Showing / teaching us: Nothing / nobody can be taken for granted, everything can change in the blink of an eye (URANUS). Be here-now, fully present in the presence.
The Queen’s Astro Transits – over the last years, recently, and at the time of her passing
To that aim, let’s take a look at her birth chart again. This time, re: Planetary Transits (penciled on the Zodiac ring). To keep things consistent, and it can be more easily followed, I present them, sequentially, going through the Queen’s chart, starting with her AC – which has experienced the more important impact in the last 2 years anyway.
* On the Queen’s CAP AC / SN: The epic, historic SATURN / PLUTO (plus: SUN / MERCURY) conjunction of Jan 12, 2020 was super close to that very personal / identity point of hers.
A marker for the succinct formula of the Zeitgeist: The Old Empire Expires. The era she represented has been already on the way out, since then.
Along with other top-down / pyramidal structures (CAP) that have represented / claimed power (PLUTO) & authority (SATURN). Not to say, it goes without battle / holding on / resistance. One reason why there’s so much societal conflict & division going on nowa-years (another, deeper & broader topic).
Exactly in Jan 2020, Harry & Meghan announced on insta(!) (apparently without consulting with the Queen beforehand) their stepping back as senior members of the Royal Family – a still on-going crisis in the ‘system’, which re-emerged at this time of the Queen’s passing.
Of course, the ‘Players’ in the Royal family / public drama are catalysts, to bring forth deeper issues, as in: What’s with the future of the ‘institution’ (CAP)? Esp. now, as the figurehead is no more… The juncture of history & future is also the CAP – AQ continuum.
* The Queen’s MARS / JUPITER duo in AQ, intercepted in her 1st House… …has been transited by (her chart ruler) SATURN this year (first time in 29 years). This transit was again nearly exact (esp. on her MARS), and will ‘roll out’ post-mortem, until end of Dec – likely the transition time for her succession by Charles.
At the time of her passing (apparently round 6 pm GDT – the public announcement was made at 6:30 pm), the MOON in AQ had just passed SATURN, and was void of course (‘free floating’ before entering PI), while transiting her JUPITER, while opposing her NEPTUNE retro / LILITH in LEO, and squaring her SATURN retro in SCO.
A ‘time stamp’ for conclusion of her energetic-enthusiastic to-the-end service to the System / Society / Humanity (however you may see it). She might have almost died alone, in her Balmoral Castle (CAP), supported by the medical team (AQ). Well, the family rushed to be with her too – and most of them made it, in the void zone & pouring rain.
After lying in state for 4 days at Westminster Hall – for ‘public viewing’ / for the People to honour and visit Her Majesty for the last time, on the day of the funeral, her coffin was carried and driven within London, to the People. And a huge audience of People around the World was watching, while a small(er) group of ‘Inner Circle’ and socio-political ‘Elite’ invitees was physically present, at the ceremony.
All very apropos SATURN retro (closure, honouring) in AQ (the People, yet also the overall System involved / required, in this major organization – CAP, and those responsible for the transition into the Future).
* Her VENUS and URANUS in PI, on her 2nd House cusp… …have been transited by NEPTUNE over the last years. The massive wave of the JUPITER / NEPTUNE conj. in PI, on Apr 12 this year was almost exactly on the Queen’s URANUS.
On that note, I have noticed a pattern of the Planets JUPITER and URANUS showing up / being transited round the time of death – pointing to a liberation (URANUS) and opening / spaciousness (JUPITER) – maybe a paradigm shift to our usual associations with death & dying.
The surprise (double!) rainbow showing up over Buckingham Palace after the announcement of her passing – a pointer in that direction…?
Less than two days after the Queen’s passing, on Sept 10, came the Harvest Moon in PISCES (with NEPTUNE) – VIRGO – Spiritual Harvest. With the MOON super close to the Queen’s VENUS, and NEPTUNE on her URANUS – a grand release with Love. What a timing…!
The Harvest Moon also initiated MERCURY retro (which started on 09/09, on the day after her passing), and the Retro Record phase of the year – SEVEN Planets simultaneously retro, until Oct 2. What a cosmic signature, for the 10 days of mourning, today’s funeral, and the immediate integration!
* Her unaspected MERCURY in early AR, in her 2nd House
…has been transited by JUPITER (now retro) – already in Jan, and June, and also again post-mortem, in Jan 2023 (prob. again related to succession to the new monarch). Let’s hope for gifts in (not just so much / more of)new beginnings, and boldly take action ourselves, to BE the New.
* Her CHIRON end of AR / SUN in early TAU conjunction, on her 3rd House cusp
CHIRON in late AR has been squared by PLUTO end of CAP, in Spring this year (March – June), right round her birthday. It would come again post-mortem, in Jan 2023 (prob. again succession related). Perhaps expressing as feeling the burden of carrying the responsibility & position (CAP), all alone now (AR), without Prince Philip on her side, who passed a year prior, early April 2021.
The Queen’s SUN in early TAU was already transited by URANUS in 2019 when it first entered TAU. Turmoil – and renewal – in her ‘extended family’ (3rd House), incl. via her children & grandchildren was in the making – affecting her identity – possibly also health. Then, 2020 / 21 brought major societal disruptions of stability everywhere – perhaps also felt quite personally by the Queen, let alone the loss of her life-long partner, Philip. We remember the sad image of a Queen, dressed in black, with black mask, sitting in distance from others, and inward-facing, at his funeral.
* Her PLUTO / North Node in CAN, in her 6th House / on her DC
…is now being transited by LILITH. On Her way Home… – perhaps her Soul re-uniting with Family / re-united with Soul Family.
* Her MOON / NEPTUNE / LILITH in LEO, in her 7th House
…opposed by SATURN retro in AQ. Humanity & the World Community of leaders & ‘ordinary people’ acknowledges the Queen and the ending of an era – in a huge wave of grieving & paying respect. Yes, there’s also a new wave of division in humanity, re: the future of the monarchy / Commonwealth. Which speaks to the Zeitgeist.
* MERCURY now retro in early LIBRA, in the Queen’s 8th House
…opposes her MERCURY in early AR – and soon URANUS in late PI. The news of her “passing peacefully” evoked so much. Turbulent waves of responses / reactions. A lot to integrate. Explicit info / messages, and implicit signals / symbolism / memories / reflections.
* Lastly, the Queen’s SATURN (ruler of her chart), retro in SCO, on her MC / 10th House cusp
…which was intensely activated by the SuperMoon / Total Lunar Release Eclipse / Buddha Wesak Moon, on May 15 this year. The MOON was almost to the degree on her SATURN. While on the day of her passing, SATURN & the MOON united, and squared her SATURN. So much about release of attachments & control, authority, and – as it has shown, even release of the physical, ever so steady Earth BODY.

The date alignment is interesting: 9/19 brings a double 9 – number of completion, and the 1 stands for new beginnings. When adding up the # (9+1+9) we come back to 19, and from there to 1.
Plus, we’re in the last third of VIRGO / doubly VIRGO, to which I give the motto: In Alignment with the Cosmic / Divine Assignment.
We’re in the last days of Summer 2022, just 3 days before Fall Equinox, on the cusp from VIRGO to LIBRA, the ‘Design Point’, ‘Perfect Balance Point’.
Sooo much to do / to be in service of / to line up, for a ceremony – in honour of a significant ‘Other’. And conversely, where a Life in responsible and committed Service (the Queen was born with late CAP Rising = VIR undertone) finds its completion. May Peace be upon her!
Voila, here’s the chart w. the planetary alignments at the Queen’s funeral, on Sept 19 at 11 am GDT in London (the coffin entered Westminster Cathedral, initiating the service) – with striking alignments:
SEVEN Planets Retro. This is the window (Sept 9 – Oct 2) – that started on the DAY after her passing – with the most Planets in retro of the year (if not: possible at any given time. Well, technically, it could be 9 but what are the odds, in thousands of years for that to happen?!). A stage of inward-backward turning. Inevitably. And: to resource & regenerate from within (rather than projecting power, authority, and all the other archetypal energies and giving them away – as tends to be the human pattern.
The specific chart is overall very SCORPIOnic.
* Again, as in the Queen’s birth chart, the South Node is on the SCO AC – ruled by PLUTO (which crossed the Queen’s SN & AC in 2020). At 11 am GDT the AC juuust entered the central part of SCO – doubly SCO. A powerful, transformational ceremony / ritual.
* The ruling Planet PLUTO in late CAP (VIR undertone) is retro, in the 3rd House, and in exact Earth Trine with the SUN end of VIR (double VIR), on the 11th House cusp. Not far from the CAP ruler SATURN in AQ, also retro in the 3rd, apex of a Yod configuration, w. VENUS in VIR and the MOON / LILITH in CAN. PLUTO, together w. NEPTUNE retro in PI, also forms a Yod, to the MC in LEO (where the Queen’s MOON / LILITH / NEPTUNE were). Quite astounding alignments, indeed. All about alignment, precision, execution of ceremony, group effort & organization, and completion,in the historic environment (3rd House, with CAP on the AC), and in group consciousness (11th House). And even though, there’s so much emphasis on the organizational part (SCO – CAP – AQ, PLUTO / SATURN), it needs to be fueled by emotion, deep passionate love, and the willingness & ability to be in service to it (CAN – LEO – VIR), all of which is collectively unifying & bonding (NEPTUNE in PI).
* The waning MOON – together w. LILITH, as in the Queen’s birth chart – both in mid-CANCER (w. SCO undertone), just entering the 8th (Scorpionic) House, as it’s setting, in the course of the afternoon, and also in square w. CHIRON retro in mid-AR (LEO undertone) in the 5th (Leonine) House. Wow! So deeply emotional, yet: controlled. So much more going on under the surface / in the background than what meets the public eye (even while the whole ceremony is intimately televised). A Family Affair, on public display – initiating / signalling deep transformation. Perhaps the end of the Royal Family / Empire as we know it. What’s with the Children (5th House / MOON)?And with new beginnings (AR)?A raw & vulnerable state (CHIRON retro), perhaps bringing back one’s own early-er wounds of starting fresh, after deep changes? Can the Inner Medicine – perhaps of authenticity, courage, baby steps – be found?
* Lastly, the North Node & URANUS retro in mid-TAU (doubly TAU) – the Queen’s SUN sign – are on the 7th House cusp, about to set under the horizon, as the Cathedral service proceeds. In square w. SATURN retro in AQ, and in Earth Trine w. VENUS, close to the SUN in VIR. The bond to the Earth Body is cut. So many cut flowers have been offered along her last journeys through GB, as tokens of love. May the Queen be free – as Nature! May the flavour of her elegance & grace continue to inspire. And may we emBody Freedom – while we are in this Earth Body.

As MERCURY retro had it, after the fact of publishing this post, as I was looking at the Sabian Symbol for the LIBRA New Moon on Sept 25, I felt called to go to the one for the day of the Funeral. Can’t not share it with you. Amazingly / eerily synch’ed with the events and symbolism.
Yes, it is gender biased (‘King’, ‘Ladies’), which I won’t ‘clean up’, since it has its own message, in the context of the funeral ceremony. I won’t comment on it any further…
Remember, this interpretation was written in 1973! The photo of the constellation of Ladies with future King is also quite telling…
The SUN was at 26°27′ VIRGO when the funeral started – approaching…

Mid-PISCEShas a SCORPIO undertone. And the MOON comes with NEPTUNE aka Poseidon, Ruler of the Sea – and of PISCES – in sextile with SCO ruler PLUTO retro end of CAP.
ABig Wave of Interconnectedness that takes us into our depths. The Nature of the Universe, and our True Nature are ONE. Reconnecting with the JUPITER – NEPTUNE union in PI, on Apr 12. NEPTUNE, the Ruler of PI, and JUPITER, former Ruler of PI, unite every 13 years, but they haven’t been together in PISCES since 1856 (10 years after NEPTUNE was discovered)!
The effects of their union extend throughout this ever so transition year, and will re-emerge when JUPITER re-enters the very end of PI, not far from – without quite reaching – NEPTUNE, for 2 months, Oct 27 – Dec 20.
With the big ‘rainbow’ spectrum & paradoxical nature of PI, this mega-Piscean ‘weather’ represents a lot – along the lines of trustingly letting go of an old vibration, and opening for new spiritual vibrations coming in… Or, more dramatically put, if you will: It’s all coming together in a new way, as the Old World is falling apart.
The JUPITER – NEPTUNE conjunction in its own PI realm is a response to the historic SATURN – PLUTO conjunction on Jan 12, 2020 in SATURN ruled CAP – which represented the starting point of the end and transformation of the ‘Old Empire’.
Perhaps, the 2022 JUPITER – NEPTUNE conjunction, now brought out again via the Harvest Moon, is another indicator of the ‘wash-up’ & ‘wash-out’ of the PISCES AGE? Esp. when it comes of toxic, addictive, overwhelming, escapist energies, and of the co-dependent triad of victim – perpetrator – saviour / martyr… What’s your sense is coming (and leaving)?

Well, yeah, we heard it many times, many ways: Another MERCURY retro ‘season’ is just starting before the Harvest Moon – inearly LIBRA – back to late VIR, Sept 9 – Oct 2 (the ‘stormy’ lead-in phase began already on Sept 2).
Clearly, the Harvest Moon, with the SUN & VENUS in MERCURY’s ruled sign VIR catalyzes the MERCURY retro phase. At the onset of which the mind is super active, ‘ahead of the game’ (and furthest ahead of the SUN in the Zodiac, from Earth perspective) and thinks it ‘runs the show’.
Which can look like: Over-thinking, being too much in the head, (in LIBRA) over-weighing of pros & cons of a situation / choice, always finding more arguments either way, being stalled, paralyzed & indecisive.
The fact that stat. MERCURY in LI is in Air trine with MARS in GEM(ruled by MERCURY) gives the current situation even more mental over-drive.
MERCURY going retro in LIBRA is a much better time to RE-consider choices & alignment, and find balance within, by returning to Source.
I know, it’s a bit of a long shot – yet good news: On Oct 22, the SUN end of LIBRA is met by VENUS – both on the LI – SCO ‘Tipping Point’, and MERCURY post-retro will be nearby too – That’s all helping with making well informed, win-win decisions.
MERCURY & the JUPITER – NEPTUNE Dynamic As MERCURY dances forth & back & forth on the VIR – LI – VIR – LI Fall Equinox Point, Aug – Oct, it ‘faces’ (opposes) the PI – ARIES Spring Equinox Point where JUPITER has been traveling back & forth this year, meeting NEPTUNE in PI on Apr 12, and visiting again, from a distance, in Nov when back in PI. Their themes are being re-accentuated now, by the PI – VIR Harvest Moon, close to NEPTUNE. Contrasted / balanced by MERCURY.
The Big Loss / Letting Go / Collective & Spiritual Unification Wave, and how it influences / how one maintains one’s own Integrity & Choices.
Let’s break that down a bit, and be more specific, says VIRGO.
JUPITER’s ‘Eye’
In the Mercurial equation: JUPITER MERCURY retro in early LIBRA opposes JUPITER retro in early ARIES 3 times (pre-retro on Sept 2 – at the onset of the ‘storm’, retro on Sept 18, and again post-retro, on Oct 12 – just post-‘storm’).
A good time to gain more insights about the balance between being fully YOU, and the re-quirements for harmonious balance between autonomy & re-latedness to others. Have fairness issues / re-curring patterns come up to be re-conciled? Time to contemplate, and re-solve from within.
NEPTUNE – as seen by Hubble / Voyager 2
And NEPTUNE! MERCURY has from end of VIR opposed NEPTUNE retro in PI, on Aug 21 (right at the onset of the pre-retro shadow), and will do so again in a 2nd phase Sept 29 – Oct 5 – (not exact, yet only 1 1/2 degrees off). With MERCURY then in turnaround from retro to direct (Oct 2). A slow cooker, showing us how to help situations turn around.
When overwhelmed by chaos / so many influences / confluences, notice where your mind goes, and is involved in this ‘spiel’. Come back to what works for you, takes you back into alignment with your cosmic / Soul assignment, and let go of the rest, with Love.
Lastly, let’s take a look at the

The interpretation of the Sabian Symbol suggests, dare to show what you got. Well, if this speaks to you – and balance is required in your life in that regard, go for it, knowing it’s all a show / game.

MERCURY has been slowing down its speed from Earth perspective, for its immanent retro round / loop, this time from early LIBRA (up to 8°55′) back over the cusp to late VIR (back to 24°13′) – where the Messenger of the Gods will be busy flying back & forth, and (RE)negotiating.
Yep, MERCURY is this year extensively in VIRGO, (Aug 3 – 25, and Sept 23 – Oct 10) as well as in LIBRA (Aug 25 – Sept 23, and Oct 10 – 29), due to its upcoming retro phase in both energy fields (Sept 9 – Oct 2).
I bet you already noticed early MERCURY retro symptoms…
…maybe even since the pre-retro ‘shadow’ (M crossed the point in the Zodiac from which it’ll go direct again on Oct 2) started, on Aug 20.
…and more likely since the pre-retro ‘storm’ (M moves very slowly – less than 40′ per day – in ‘U-turn mode) has been on, since Sept 2.

Let’s be mindful where things are in, and how they get out of balance. YES – MERCURY rules VIRGO – where it goes back to, in the 2nd half of retro (from Sept 23 on) – as well as GEMINI.
These themes continued to process this year, as MERCURY was for an extended time (Apr 29 – May 22 & June 13 – July 4), and started its last retro phase (May 10 – June 3) in GEM.
And this year into next, MARS is for a long time (Aug 20 – March 26) in GEM, since its retro phase (Oct 30 – Jan 13) will be all in GEM too: Find Your Voice, Speak Up, Be the Alchemist!
Both mercurial energies, VIRGO with its skillfulness, and concern about wellness, as well as GEMINI with its curiosity, questions, smarts, and mental engagement, play an important role, these years.
GEMINI is the student, learner, scientist. VIRGO is the apprentice & practitioner.
If you’re a MERCURial / GEMINI / VIRGO emphasized Human, you prob. notice the on-going boost, in these regards.
Some Tidbits for Newbies to MERCURY Retro (M-r)
Why does MERCURY even go retro? Because of an ‘optical illusion’. MERCURY goes retro from Earth perspective, because ofits elliptic orbit around the Sun, in relation to the almost exactly circular orbit of the Earth around the Sun. We Earthlings are looking at the planetary moves geocentrically – even through, from the central Solar vantage point things look differently (which is what astronomers critique about astrology… no, we’re not at the centre of the Solar System, and well aware of this, lol. But hey, human life as we know it happens on Planet Earth, our vantage point. And yes, a heliocentric astro chart is also available, btw. Back to the M-r effect: From our terrestrial perspective, MERCURY hence appears to be alternating between going quite fast, going slow, and even ‘falling back’ (like two trains going at different speeds next to each other – looking out the window of the faster train the slower one seems to be going backwards).
MERCURY goes retro 3 times a year (about every 4 months) for about 3 weeks. The covered area in the Zodiac that’s covered by the retro motion is 10 – 15 degrees. Because of that regularity, the retro phases are in each year in the same element (in 2022 in the AIR-to-EARTH signs: Jan 14 – Feb 3 in AQ – CAP, May 10 – June 3 in GEM – TAU, Sept 9 – Oct 2 in LIBRA – VIR. The pattern goes also retro (will be in EARTH signs in 2023).
What’s the Cosmic Weather on Earth, during MERCURY’s Retro Trip?
Thankfully, not SO much going on in this mercurial season (nothing like during the last one) – from the beginning of the pre-retro ‘storm’. on Sept 2, to the end of the post-retro ‘storm’, on Oct 5.
Here’s the line-up of the Highlights:
* Sept 4: VENUS entered VIRGO (until Sept 29)
* Sept 10: PISCES – VIRGO FM / Harvest Moon w. NEPTUNE
* Sept 22: Fall Equinox – the SUN enters LIBRA

Sounds like the Mercurial Messenger will havemessages from these Planetary Gods (and Humans) to convey!!!

Time to re-consider all things fairness, balance, justice (LIBRA), come back to Spirit, Consciousness, to the Heart, to the Body-Mind wholeness, to (un)common sense & practical-helpful application (VIR) of what we already ‘know’.

From early LIBRA back to VIR this time (from 8°55′ LI back to 24°13′ VIR, to be precise), from Sept 9 – Oct 2.
If you’ve read my MERCURY retro support REport (or even advocacy) over the years you know:
M-r isn’t necessarily ‘BAD’ news, as pop Astrology would have it. And hey – perhaps M-r is ‘even’ an overdue & cosmically well timed de-conditioning?!
In a nutshell, with M-r, the Archetype of the MIND is operating differently / ‘unusually’, and tuned-up into a ‘New MERCURY’ (hey, what’s that???).
Have you noticed?
Our good old messenger / trickster friend MERCURY has been already since Aug 20 in pre-retro ‘shadow’ (i.o.w., crossed the 24°13′ VIR mark from which it will go direct again at the end of M-r).
On Sept 2, MERCURY went into stationary (very slowly moving) ‘U-turn storm’.
And on Sept 9, MERCURY ‘officially’ starts its seasonal retro loop, which goes technically until Oct 2, and rolls out completely until mid-Oct.
So, end of Aug – mid-Oct (which include build-up time before and roll-out time after) are under M-r influence.
Take it easy on ‘plans‘, and don’t get wrapped up in ‘loops’ based on too much random info, or not enough info / confusion.
A good time to chill, go on a RE-treat, or RE-laxation (esp of the bizzy mind), and to be open to unexpected info / intel / communication that can open your mind.
M-r is conducive for
* Purging outdated info& items (early Fall cleaning, yay!) – and finding surprisingly re-levant info ‘from the past’ (or: on a meta-level, shows where we were at mentally, at that time)
* Picking up lost & forgotten reading or writing projects we’ve been shelving for a while
* Catching up with people we haven’t talked with in a while – and being surprised by synergistic conversations that lead to so much more than ‘expected’ (or: having glitches with them – which may be telling about the relationship…). LI – VIR – LI is all about healthy (vs dysfuntional) relationships. A good time (always is) to be aware.
* And a heightened time for info to leak, and communication to happen that’s usually (diplomatically) under the radar.
Could be also a good time to check in again astrologically – which is by nature about macro-micro, and about the ‘meta level’ of phenomenality – the so-called ‘real world’ we can get caught up in. Just get in touch if you feel it’s calling you.

SEPT 18 MERCURY retro in early LIBRA, again opposes JUPITER retro in early ARIES (2nd of 3 alignments, after pre-retro on Sept 2, again post-retro, on Oct 12) Have you gained more intel & insights about the balance between being fully YOU, and the re-quirements for harmonious balance of autonomy & re-latedness to others? SEPT 22 – Fall Equinox – the SUN enters LIBRA, just 6 hrs before… MERCURY retro meets the SUN freshly in LIBRA, at this half-way point of the M-r Journey(MERCURY steps ‘behind’ the SUN, this time right on the Fall Equinox Point!).‘Day of Enlightening Insight’ aka ‘New Mercury’ What does ‘Perfect Balance’ / Harmony / Peace require, esp. mentally? Auspicious energy for new dialoguesand negotiation, and to initiate important communicative / writing endeavours after this date. SEPT 23 MERCURY retro re-enters VIRGO, for its second half of the retro trip Practice IS Perfect, and Reason Matters. Equanimity in place? Can wise choices be made, based on the info you have? What’s equitable and fair? What’s disproportionate? Which details need to be figured in, and how does discernment come in? Use perspective & experience. And how about the Golden Rule?!

OCT 5 Post-MERCURY retro stationary period end of VIR comes to a close. Indeed, the ‘hottest’ phases are the ‘U-turn storms’, before & after M-r (Sept 2 – 9 in early LIBRA, and Oct 2 – 5 in late VIR), when MERCURY moves slowest. Hope you took it easy, in the stormy integration phase – lots of practical details (VIR) & relational dynamics / issues of balance, fairness, justice (LI), or otherwise juggling / balancing of interests needed to be considered. What can be a way forward that is grounded in reason? Still time to weigh options, under MERCURY in LIBRA to follow. MERCURY Retro in the Starters
On Sept 2, MERCURY entered its stationary ‘storm’ period (moving very slowly), i.o.w., went into ‘U-turn’ mode, in early LI.
A time to also slow down the regular fast & busy mind that likes to multi talk / task & be ‘in control’.
‘Regular’ / ‘normal’ communication affairs might have started to become ‘tricky’, ‘chaotic’, ‘complicated’ and ‘messed up’… But only from the perspective of the ego that likes to seize control, via the mind.Yet also, synchronicities and magic might have kicked in…
MERCURY in ‘zigzag mode’ suggests being super adaptable, in flux & at ease, while swiftly, swimmingly / surfingly, changing course as necessary. It can lead to a more auspicious outcome than assumptions that the mind assumes are ‘the way’.
7-Circle Classical Labyrinth by Helen Rowlands, reminds me of a brain
In the actual RETRO PHASE, from Sept 9 – Oct 2, the mind is geared to turn inward-backward, and mental moves may be paradoxical, like in a labyrinth, or ‘far out’ / eccentric.
As always, the MERCURY retro cyclestarts with the ‘Epimethean’ phase (first half – until Sept 22), where old epic stories, memories, and patterns show up for REasons yet unknown, REvealing themselves in the journey.
With the LIBRA-to-VIRGO energy of the upcoming M-r… (LI in the 1st half, and VIR in the 2nd)… …it’s good to gain space and distance from the mind that can make things so complicated. Don’t believe everything you (or: they!) think. Check where ‘your’ thoughts may come from, and why you’re attached to / loop around them!). Experiment with discussing with others, for a more balanced view. Verify your thoughts & ideas in the ‘real tangible world’ with its practical implications (VIR). Invite unexpected insights, a world of synchronicities, and: Be open for new understanding, via / of hidden and overlooked info that gets our attention now, for a RE-ason.
At the half-way point of the M-r phase (Sept 22 this time), MERCURY crosses paths with the SUN: A new ‘New MERCURY’ (like a New Moon in the monthly SUN – MOON conj.) is born – which happens 3 times a year.
So cool that this time, MERCURY & the SUN not only align, but also shift / trade signs, on the Equinox Point:The SUN goes from VIR to LIBRA, while MERCURY retro goes fromLIBRA back to VIR – i.o.w., the MERCURY – SUN conj. happens on the 1st degree of LIBRA – FALL EQUINOX!

WOW – what a timely symbol, at the passing of Queen Elizabeth II today, Sept 8, 2022 – age 96, just months after her 70-year platinum jubilee.
What I glean from this combo of symbols: Going inward, away from mental chatter, to Source, perhaps mediated / re-minded by our spiritual lineage, can help us come back to our Source / Soul Purpose. Acknowledging it consciously pre-mortem brings us back on track, with the service that’s in alignment with our cosmic assignment.

Timeless & Timely MERCURY Retro REminders
Under M-r, ‘usual’ thinking and communication patterns are being questioned, and it appears at times as if there was a trickster / little devil at play.
Actually, we have a chance now to SEE the inner mental trickster / saboteur that’s been there all along, camouflaging & going unnoticed. Can you take ‘weird’ scenarios asopportunities to be aware (VIR) of your relationship (LI) with it – and how it impacts relationships?
The challenge is, not to get frustrated when things don’t turn out the way YOU thought they ’should’, according to the ego.
During M-r, experiment with, practice (VIR), and hopefully also integrate for later, going with the flow of things, in an intuitive, heart sourced way.
Feel free to change your mind, and ‘dance away’ (LI) when you get the impulse / signal / intuition for an alternative course that works better, and is more aligned for you (VIR). Yet don’t let the mind run the show…
Be open to and curious about ‘creative detours’ that might lead to unexpected turns, and unusual connections, rather than going with comfort / routine / habits of your ‘Inner Muggle’.
Rather than getting wrapped up with linear, habitual, and often self-limiting ways of dealing with information / communication channels & modes, an ‘unorthodox’ approach, and maybe a little connection with someone can open up for serendipity, synchronicities, and magic.
Let’s mischievously ask ourselves (M-r):
* How can I get out of the busy conditioned & controller mind now, and shift to Openness for Change, Creativity, and Play?
* What would my Inner Magician / Wizard / Alchemist (yes, that’s what Mercury also is) suggest?
* Where’s the comic (and cosmic) relief in all this…?

Let’s stay as mobile (like quicksilver, the MERCURY metal), adaptable, and unattached to ‘plans’ / agenda as possible.
MERCURY is a very light, youthful, fresh, fun-loving punster and Coyote / prankster energy.
It looks at the fun and also meaningful side of unusual twists & turns, and even likes to provoke those. Tuning into that less serious mode makes us happier and more at ease – not only – these days.
Come on board with these spontaneous twists, unintentional new-found puns, and creative fun realizations! While being mindfully present & clear.
Laughing at ourselves is certainly part of the picture.
And noticing how the mind is playing tricks on us – all the time, but now hopefully more often busted – esp. in comic relief ways – with ego alert, ha-ha! Great time for satire and comedy it is – and ‘real life s & c’!
When it comes to committing to something long-term – pls consider that it might not be ready to be definite yet.
Yet you can make a choice to be in a vibration that attracts the match that you easily recognize & connect with.

Give yourself time. During M-r, new information streams in, which can alter our outlook on things.
Often, after the M-r phase we have more information which gives a different picture, based upon which a good avenue forward becomes clear.
If we did commit prematurely and aren’t flexible to back off again easily, we might say, “Oh, if I only had known… I wouldn’t have changed course… and didn’t have to untangle complications.”
As always with MERCURY retro, esp. in LIBRA – VIRGO, clarify / specify communication whenever possible:
*Say things several times,in different ways / even in a different language to make sure there’s no misunderstanding in a fast / distracted context – in our oh-so ADD world.
*Talk in a way that offers invitations for open discussion, and be present and genuinely curious & helpful (if you are!), rather than distracted (Mercurial shadow).
* Ask questionsthat instinctively / intuitively come up (esp. to clarify otherwise held assumptions!).
*Choose the most direct medium & tool available (meet and connect in person, or at least via online video), which helps with clearer & more holistic communication, mimic, body signals. More ‘channels’ are involved & signals are conveyed, by being face-to-face with the other person, rather rather than on the phone, or via mutual messaging / e-monologue – so ‘standardized’ & ‘normalized’ in the electronic age, and an even bigger deal since 2020. M-r gives us the chance to take a break from it – at least make sure we SEE each other! And who knows what else might come up and be addressed when you take the opportunity to actually meet & talk?!
Are you a slave to technocracy / techno-crazy? If you become mercurially frustrated, maybe it’s because you needed to learn something about the nature of the human mind and its extensions, as in: technological equipment which now, more than usually, seem to have ‘a mind of their own’…
You don’t want to become (well, maybe now you see how much you could be) a stressed-out remotely controlled slave of coordination & communication, and of the technology that should(!) be here to serve us (or which interests does it actually serve most?).
Computers, phones, and tech gadgets are / should be treated as ‘just’ tools. Their efficiency also depends on & responds to the (hopefully relaxed & detached, savvy & inventive) mind of their ‘master’.
Have you noticed? The technical equipment can magically-morphically mirror the state of mind WE’re in, even ‘simply’ by breaking down and being ‘on strike’ when we humans need ‘a break’ anyway?
Give your tools and tasks proper mindful and focused care & attention, one at a time, instead of attempting to multi task and ‘efficiently’ orchestrate everything simultaneously.
To keep the interface between the electromagnetic field of computers and the human mind smoothly operational, don’t impose any potential extra stress onto your nervous system – nor on your computer.
And how about: Turn the AI network off, and your inner intelligence on.
Take note & respect signals showing you that you need to be relaxed & mindful. Assume nothing, and drop your (under M-r evident, otherwise under the radar) expectations & assumptions.
Foremost, trust the infinite Intelligence of the Bigger System aka Universe – ‘Even’ as it might temporarily take you on wild & ‘crazy’ journeys that you apparently haven’t signed up for.
Trust the impermanence. And notice how much your mental involvement affects your experience of ‘the trip’.
Under M-r, talk to people from the past who come to mind, and whom you haven’t heard from in a long time.
And to ‘new’ yet familiar like-spirited people whom you’ve just met & intuitively ‘clicked with’.
M-r also tends to bring back unfinished communication business from the past, esp. from previous M-r phases (last ones in Sept / Oct 2021, Jan / Feb 2022, May / June 2022).
What also happens quite often under M-r:
*We receive / intuit a potentially interesting message for others that’s worth sharing & passing on – to whom it may concern. Go ahead, and ‘randomly’ (without your personal agenda) deliver / spread it to others, to whom that information & inspiration can be helpful – also apropos the VIRGO messenger / translator / interpreter!
* We’re prompted to connect two or more people with one another – because we can. Who knows what comes from it?
So, let’s keep collecting M-r communication karma cookies, by being the random messengers & connectors!

Rather than having the mind ueber full… Be mindful, and observe the phenomenon mind from a deeper level.
Like, by asking yourself:
Why am I really saying this? Who’s the one thinking and talking here?
If we don’t do from time to time this ‘mental hygiene’ (yay VIRGO!), our inner ‘devil’s advocate – disguised as M-r – out-tricks us, subconsciously ‘sabotaging’ our plans, second guessing ourselves, and constellating circumstances that make us back off from our original intention.
So important to check what we’ve been doing with our brain – or rather, what the brain has been doing with us all along.
The Buddhists call the day-to-day mind that busies itself with all kinds of ‘chatting’ and inner stories, lists, and dialogues, the ‘Monkey Mind’. Like a monkey, the trickster mind jumps from one tree of interest and attachment to the next, and is never quiet, unless we observe the movement, and thereby naturally calm it.
My Seasoned MERCURY Retro Tips & Seasonal Tool Kit

1) Be easy on yourself, as you get into the groove of things
It usually takes a week or so to adjust to the different mode.
Hope you could take it it easy on the pre-retro shadow phase (since Aug 20)… Rather than being ‘pulled into’ the wild ‘storm’ (since Sept 2), or apparently stationary stuckness (can be either and both, in paradoxical trickster fashion).
2) Be mindful, and lead from what’s here-now
There’s a tendency for the mind to be distracted and all over the place, to loose and misplace things & thoughts that later have to be RE-trieved again, in your ‘inner house’. Avoid getting scattered and disorganized, collect the mind ‘pieces’, be present with any situation & function ‘at hand’, and don’t loose sight of what practically works & matters (VIR). The apparent priority of urgent ‘little’ things & ‘small stuff’ (ha- also VIR) can easily be a distraction and waste of energy. Practice coming back to the Here-NOW.
3) Retro is an inwards / backwards oriented energy
M-r is a good time to RE-treat, and RE-connect with meditation and mindfulness. Also an excellent chance (if not necessity) to deal with ‘old unfinished business’, ‘loose ends’, and to clear communication themes from the past, often carried over from a previous M-r times (last ones Sept / Oct 2021, Jan / Feb 2022, and May / June 2022).
4) Every M-r phase is a great time for basically everything that starts with ‘RE-‘, esp. RE-sidual communication
Like: RE-assess, RE-align, REad, Re-search, RE-treat, RE-pair, RE-boot, RE-group, RE-consider, RE-arrange, RE-place, you name it…
One RE-ason for me pointing out all these RE-activities: During M-r (which also has a karmic undertone), we / they less likely get away anymore with being sloppy, and with procrastinating or neglecting RE-sidual communication issues with people from the past. They come up like a mirror. Talk about what RE-ally matters, esp. with friends and loved ones.

5) Choose the clearest and most direct mode of communication available
Phone rather than messaging / emailing. Meet and connect in person rather than via phone / text, to make sure an actual dialogue happens (rather than just your factual monologue, with the assumption you know what they think, or they know what you think).
Consider communicating in several ways & via different media, to make sure the message comes across. Keep in mind that because people’s minds can be all over the place now, communication might be scattered and incomplete, or prone to assumptions: “I thought you got my email!!!”, or actually a monologue: “Are you just thinking out loud as you talk, or are you actually suggesting something to me?”
6) Be mindful & compassionate in your communication with others
Compassionately put yourself in their position, and take ownership & responsibility for your mental processes, rather than blaming and judging (possibly based on a lack / deficiency / incompleteness of communication).
7) Be clear and precise with commitments & agreements
Double-check whether you’ve been understood correctly, and RE-peat / RE-phrase back to them too. Avoid signing an agreement with consequences (LIBRA!), before you have all the necessary details (VIR) / information (often only after MERCURY retro is over, or at least half-way, meeting the SUN = Sept 22).
8) MERCURY Retro RE-minds us…
…that direct connection with one another as an authentic & lively dialogue offers the opportunity to open up, speak freely, and touch on other subjects than the originally intended purpose / agenda of the communication. Which can eventually lead to an even more important outcome or direction than anticipated. Check out in hindsight why you actually needed to talk to that person…
9) Under M-r, the odds for fabulous unexpected synchronicities are 99%
When we act more intuitively and out of the ordinary, we let the spontaneous intervention of the Universe show us our interconnectedness! So magical!
10) M-r is a good time to RE-connect with people you have lost sight of – and see them in a new light
With theLIBRA – VIR flavour, get in touch with people whom you feel naturally-healthily compatible and in balance with – from the Heart. Trust your intuition, and let yourself be surprised by what shows up when you speak to them – also re: whether you are (still? again?) on a wavelength or not. No assumptions… Allow yourself to get mentally un-stuck in conversation. Old communication themes might get triggered, yet now’s the chance to see them in context (e.g. of your & their role / function in the relationship – VIR / LI). Or you might meet new people whom you heart-connect with, and feel you already know each other ‘from somewhere’.
11) The areas of life (partners, children, career, groups, etc.) that THIS retro phase brings up for YOU…
…have to do with Planet/s and House/s that M-r activates in YOUR personal birth chart, i.o.w. where late VIR to early LI is situated (see above). I’m happy to check that out for and WITH you – as a quick hint, or in a focused (or longer) session if more is going on for you…

12) When ‘glitches’ occur, be fluid and flexible like quicksilver (MERCURY’s metal), think “shift happens”.
No need to feel not smart / diligent / you name it enough (a VIR thing). Turn the paradigm around: What could be the opportunity in this mishap? What’s ‘even’ actually funny about this? RE-frame your way of thinking about things. And entertain the possibility that you might have subconsciously ‘arranged’ a wild alternative to the original ‘plan A’ which – who knows? – might lead to something new and better and more fun than what the ‘normal’, ‘usual’, ‘regular’, and apparently most ‘efficient’ mind-in-rut-mode could have come up with?
13) Enjoy those unintentional puns, slips, and new connections in the mind, be creative and brainstorm – esp. together with your MERCURY Retro Friends.
14) Enlightened Insights, anyone…?

VENUS will cross over the ‘Sphinx Point’ of Self (LEO) Awareness (VIRGO), on Sept 4.
Just after MERCURY, currently in LIBRA (ruled by VENUS) goes into pre-retro ‘storm’, tomorrow Sept 2 (to go retro Sept 9 – Oct 2, where the Messenger will travel from LIBRA back to late VIR, on Sept 23)
MERCURY in LIBRA and VENUS in VIRGO will be in ‘mutual reception’ (in each others’ ruled signs) between Sept 4 and 23 – a strong emphasis on both their themes…
VENUS will reside in VIRGO, the sign of the Sacred Feminine in Her self-contained, and rather ‘vertically aligned’ (than relational) expression, untilSept 29.
By then, we’ll be in LIBRA season, and the early LIBRA New Moon (Sept 25) will come with MERCURY & VENUS in late VIR linked to it

The cosmic team ofdiscerning VIRGO New Moon (Aug 27), widely opposing NEPTUNE retro in PISCES, and squaring MARS now in GEM, have been already helping us address these inner ‘parts of us’ – usually projected onto others. If we do what we love, and serve Love, it doesn’t feel so much like ‘work’. And the work of ‘undoing’ (retro) can be met with Love too.
What’s wrong with / for VENUS in VIRGO?
Well, Her shadow expressions can show up as:
Being in self serving / self critical modes, and / or critical of a partner – love becomes quite conditional. VENUS in Her VIRGO vestige can be a picky & fault-finding perfectionist towards self and others. Or in love with / attracted to / seeking love via too much ‘doing mode’, and in reflection to that attitude attract soo many problems, jobs, and tasks. Rather ‘unhappy’, unfulfilled / compensated VENUS in VIRGO modes..
Good to remember for self-critical, fault-finding VENUS in VIRGO:
Don’t wait to do the work until you’re ‘perfect’.
Don’t sabotage the work by considering it as ‘not good enough’.
As hard as it is – abstain from unsolicited help and advice. ‘Even’ Angels wait to be asked (unless it’s an emergency…).
Yes, She LOVES having a job well done / problem solved. Hopefully that doesn’t turn into a ‘primary relationship’ with work. And that there’s still enough energy for the relationships with the people whom the job serves, with others where work isn’t the focus – as with Herself…
What helps when these conditioned & conditional voices come up: To come back to healthy & whole self-alignment, through specific wellness / spiritual practices (meditation, Yoga, Qi Gong, walking in Nature, good nutrition)…
Anything that can turn into a healthy routine, bringing us back into ourselves. Self sufficient VIRGO loves that. Not that She (in you) ‘should do’ all these things to increase Her self-love and love-ability, though….
VENUS in VIRGO can bring out the d.i.y. / self sufficiency side a tad too much (VIRGO’s associated with the Hermit card in Tarot). To the effect of not being so open to receive… Help is available – more than you think.
Can you open up & let the Love IN? – As NEPTUNE now in PISCES ‘on the other side’ of the Zodiac would offer.
And – give yourself permission to see & just love how things already ARE in perfect cosmic alignment.
VENUS will go into opposition with NEPTUNE retro on Sept 24 (perfectly aligned on the day before the LIBRA NM on Sept 25!). An invitation for the balance / bridging of healthy discernment / busyness / doing mode, and openness & being in easy flow mode.

Well yeah, so many traps and issues can come up with VENUS in VIRGO… that are in the way of letting Love in. Let alone, being so much in doing mode / so much ‘good girl’ / ‘good boy’ oriented, can bring up / be based on inadequacy issues…
VENUS in VIRGO needs to offer to him/herself messages like: “I love what I do, and how my service helps others.” “I’m lovable – not because I’m doing things well, but because of who I am!”
In contrast, VENUS is ‘exalted’ in PISCES: Being in an unconditionally loving vibration changes everything, and makes it all easier. Being in loving flow attracts, and one can ask for help, lovingly!
Hopefully, you VENUS in VIRGO Friends don’t find extra self fault now, through being aware of this ‘predicament’. And take it rather as an inspiration forraising loving Self Awareness, knowing thyself & your tendencies, and meeting yourself with Love first.
