Prometheus, mythological Archetype of URANUS, the Ruler of AQ, capturing the Fire of the Gods for Humanity
Big & important news – which you probably already anticipate:
JUPITER just moved over the ‘Prometheus Point’ cusp from CAP to AQ on Dec 19, to magnify the Zodiac energy of the ‘Water’ / Electromagnetic Energy Bearer & Light Bringer for almost a year (until Dec 28, 2020 – with a PISCEAN intermezzo May 13 – July 28).
What does that bring?
Well, as per JUPITER (and other V.I.P.’s – very important Planets – of 2021), a LOT.
Upfront, I dare to prognosticate:
2021 beyond 2020 will see lots of liberating shifts.
Sisyphus – rolling up the boulder – only to have it fall back down to the realm of Hades / Pluto again
2020 Review for Perspective:
Energetically, so much heaviness has been a signature of the Ueber CAP Year 2020, via the conglomerate of the Titans JUPITER-SATURN-PLUTO dragging along…
And showing how slow and almost immovable (CAP shadows – if humans try to move mountains or face an immovable obstacle) things can get in ‘3-D’ / ‘4-D’ (including Time – a CAP theme – as a dimension).
Pushing up, falling back, Sisyphus like.
Interesting symbolism that the boulder fell back into the realm of Hades / Pluto, just when Sisyphus had neared the top. Maybe showing that deeper / core work (PLUTO) is needed that would be a paradigm shift of the ‘heavy lifting’…
When we’re in our core Power and do the Soul Work (PLUTO in CAP) things aren’t heavy and hard – even when challenging.
Themes of Power (PLUTO) and Authority (SATURN) have become huuuuge (JUPITER) – and mostly experienced / projected (no wonder!) externally / societally / politically.
Yet, we’ve been called to cultivate them within.
CAP is SATURN’s domain – the most dense and ‘unmoving’ Earth sign, showing what comes up when being in incarnated form.
Featuring serious themes of integrity, results & quality & efficiency oriented, laws – human and natural, causation as in: cause-effect, and responsibility / accountability, long term effects, maturity, aging, elders…
So many challenges (SATURN – JUPITER) in all those regards in this epic passing year.
But also tests / feedback / reality checks, in society and in us personally.
And so much (JUPITER) shadow (PLUTO) of and in our engagement with the Old Empire (CAP) has been revealed.
Back to the Sisyphus theme…
- Where are you at with all of this?
- How has 2020 shaped, matured, and empowered you?
- Where are you at with judgment / boundaries / disengagement?
- What’s with resilience and resourcefulness?
- How has 2020 brought out your Best?
- How have you worked with the Time and Energies optimally, and for the Highest Good?
That’s what I felt called to offer as the Motto for JUPITER in CAP.
Inventory / year-end / review writing would be a great project.
And asking (incl oneself) good questions is supported by the North Node now in GEM.
It really IS rare to see so many significant alignments of slow moving(!) Planets all in one – and the most dense – sign (CAP), and all in one year.
JUPITER has been the magnifyer / amplifyer.
And did I mention?
JUPITER is trad. ‘in Fall’ in CAP (uhhh, Sisyphus again?) – i.o.w. the least favourable Zodiac energy for otherwise perspective and inspiration bringing Archetype (how can you, with a boulder in front of you?).
What’s amplified (JUPITER) is the mountain of work – if you see it that way.
But also to see how established structures (CAP) work, esp. re: authority (SATURN) and power (PLUTO), how both can corrupt (PLUTO), and what’s ripe to change about this.
How can / did we make the Best out of the situation, and did the challenges bring out out Best?
Hopefully not more judgment, bitterness, coldness, separation…
And what do you SEE now, as the 2020 phase has ended and is integrating?
JUPITER at the end of CAP is like making it to the top of the mountain of experience (of ‘2020’ if you will – which stands for so much).
Where there’s AIR and Freedom.
Esp. after passing SATURN – more about this below.
Clearly, JUPITER ‘likes’ AQ better than CAP.
But hey – so rewarding to having ‘made it through’ what’s ironically called ‘2020’.
JUPITER crossing over the ‘Prometheus Point’ into AQ – where the hard-earned experiences a la Prometheus are not ‘just’ used for our own accomplishment and satisfaction but the Light from the mountain top (which usually the ‘Olympians’ aka Elite Gods guard) is brought to Humanity, contributed, distributed, shared – Generosity in / for Freedom a la JUPITER in AQ, to be further shared – torches igniting each other in the chain of Humanity.
With liberating effects in the energy grid that links us as equals.
B.t.w., Prometheus means Foresight.
Very apropos JUPITER in visionary & future oriented AQ.
Prometheus unbound & surrounded by the Ring of the Zodiac – at the Rockefeller Ctre, NYC – interestingly placed in another ‘Olympian’ realm…
Well, I should say, according to mythology, the ‘Olympians’ kept an eye on Prometheus and weren’t happy about his act – ‘stealing’ the Fire that used to be reserved for them and not available for ‘mere mortals’.
Hence Prometheus was punished by being chained on a rock, and tortured by Zeus’s (hmmm, that’d be JUPITER) totem, the Eagle picking every day on Prometheus’s liver (growth organ) – how abhorringly cruel! to set a deterring example to humans – while resilient Prometheus grew it back overnight.
Eventually, Prometheus was liberated / unbound via Wounded Healer & Centaur CHIRON who had a similar journey as Prometheus yet with contrasting experiences as in: Being an outsider, yet rather introverted & shamanic rather than a freedom fighter / revolutionary. Rather than challenging the Gods they adopted him into their realm to mentor heroes. When he was incurably wounded by a poisoned arrow Hercules accidentally shot into CHIRON’s direction he went into a crisis the resolution of which led him to ask the Gods for ‘amnesty for Prometheus’ whom he acknowledged as an equal. It had to be granted, and Prometheus unbound.
A paradigm shift with liberating & revolutionary consequences:
Freedom and Healing is IN You.
You don’t need ‘Gods’ in their hierarchical entitlement to bestow them to you.
JUPITER’s Move over the ‘Prometheus Point’

JUPITER made its yearly shift from one Zodiac energy to the next.

JUPITER in AQ – after in CAP is about Contribution of our Best, and Distribution / Sharing in Humanity.
In contrast / flashback: JUPITER in CAP
JUPITER is is traditionally ‘in Fall’ (most challenged) in CAP.
Without going into black-and-white / good-and-bad polarities / judgment (which in itself could be one of the issues of JUPITER in CAP, ha-ha), suffice to say, CAP isn’t per se a fun energy, rather hard working, pragmatic, persevering, and / or: Keeping things simple – so that there’s less to take on and worry about.
Reminds me of ZEN – a JUPITER-in-CAP Way of Being, if you will.
Before, during, and after enlightenment, chop wood and carry water.
Or if you will (cynicism is one of JUPITER-in-CAP’s ways of comic relief):
Before, during, and after lock-down, chop wood and carry water.
A few friends of mine actually used the dire scenario pro-actively to go fully into retreat mode.
In a sense, Humanity has been in 12th House mode (trad. associated with monasteries, prisons, hospitals, ‘asylums’, altered states, preparation / cocoon mode of potentiality before manifestation).
So yes, a matter of perspective – if you could in 2020 – easier in hindsight.
Let’s honour the JUPITER in CAP year while the transition happens!

Light and perspective on the ‘mountain top’ and beyond, post the CAP density & immensity.
Noticing the shift & lift?
Post pushing and persevering – discovering (JUPITER) that there are more other people out there who share the same spirit.
Things go easier in community of like- and light-spirited people. Better together!
JUPITER in AQ helps strengthen the networks in Humanity, as we contribute, distribute, share, and connect generously in the Human web.
And post old limiting beliefs (JUPITER) that life has to be hard, it’s a cold world out there (CAP), and that only authorities up there can save us (the fish-tailed CAP Goat).
We’re moving out of the PISCES Age now gradually (which has been also characterized by the co-dependent triad of victim – perpetrator – saviour – check out how you might be still ‘bound’ by it).
JUPITER in AQ – in square with stationary URANUS (the Archetype of Prometheus) and in sextile with CHIRON in ARIES – all happening in January 2021, with MARS also involved in the dynamic (see JUPITER Transits below) – may enact the Zeus – Prometheus – Chiron mythology told above in real human life.
Big potential for liberating paradigm shifts.
JUPITER Unites with SATURN at 1º AQ on Winter Solstice – A New Era for Our Shared Humanity
Here’s a cool astronomical illustration of JUPITER approaching and passing SATURN – ha, it doesn’t stop with SATURN (even though it appears like that quite often with the ‘last frontier’ Planet) –
JUPITER will lead on, from Winter Solstice on!
And yes, this super special conjunction is a great event, even though apparently their conjunction is only called ‘The Great Conjunction’ when it’s a triple one which was the case apparently in the year -6 BC, then in PISCES, aka Star of Bethlehem!
But maybe that definition changed, and fair enough:
Since both Planets align so close this time that they appear ‘like one star’ it’s for sure a Great Conjunction.

I was asked – and you may wonder too:
“I just heard that this Winter Solstice is supposed to be some end and new start of an 800 year cycle. Sounds quite significant!”
My response:
“Well – it’s a rare super close alignment of JUPITER – SATURN not this close in 800 years indeed. I wouldn’t say they start an ‘800 year cycle’ though, for one since at the start of AQ we don’t want to be limited by space or time. Moving beyond the old CAP realms of being bound by history and our concepts of time. But hey, all these ways of seeing the ‘Great Conjunction’ are in true blue AQ mode valid and cross-pollinating, contributing to a shift in consciousness.
So let’s say / I call it:
A New Era for Our Shared Humanity!
And of course, I’ve been also asked by clients and friends:
Are we entering the Age of Aquarius?
I’d say, in a sense yes, the seed is being planted, with a heavenly event like this.
The Great (triple) Conjunction -6 BC in PISCES heralded the Age of PISCES.
Yet, no need to take things too literally in a limiting way, and look at the cosmic context, and at the contrasting themes of PISCES / NEPTUNE vs AQ / URANUS, and what all this might point to, re: PISCES to AQ Age Transition:
- PLUTO is still in CAP, and will only enter AQ in 2023 / 24.
- NEPTUNE is in its own sign of PISCES until 2026, and will be even joined by JUPITER there in 2022.
- The Constellations AQ and PI are very much overlapping. And so is our human experience of the collective eras we’re in.
NEPTUNE Rules PISCES

PISCES is per se very collectively oriented, while AQ is more individualistic / group consciousness and co-creatively oriented.
While PISCES is ruled by NEPTUNE which connects and binds but also can put us into a collective trance, rules dreams, altered states, and addictions, AQ is ruled by URANUS – Prometheus the Awakener.
While it looks like ‘the collective’ of humanity might be still for a while in PISCEAN collective / dream state (and adhering to victim – perpetrator – saviour models) while some – and ever more – ‘first responders’ come out of the ‘collective cocoon’, become aware and awake, and, like Prometheus take the enlightening torch and share the light with others.
URANUS Rules AQUARIUS

If you feel like an outsider in contrast to ‘consensus reality’ / ‘mass consciousness’ and looking for like-spirited peers, chances are you’re in the Promethean realm.
The trend is growing, and NEPTUNian Waves lead to Waves of Awakening.

Here’s the ‘birth chart’ for the JUPITER – SATURN alignment at 1º AQ– exact at 10:21 am PST.
The beginning of a New Era.
From the Victoria perspective, JUPITER & SATURN are rising – up in the South-East.
The AC is also AQ, plus SUN / MERCURY both freshly in CAP (the alignment happens just 8 hrs after Winter Solstice!) in the 11th (AQ related) House.
All this smells strongly like new Community & Humanity Spirit a-rising.
The MOON is about to enter ARIES (exact at 2:32 pm PST), and approaching CHIRON for their monthly union.
New Medicine of authenticity is showing up & we’re showing up with it.
LILITH is about to meet URANUS retro on Dec 23 (every 10 years) in TAU.

What’s with the 20-Year JUPITER – SATURN Cycle?
Back to linear timeline mode:
JUPITER & SATURN have a 20-year cycle together (every 20 years JUPITER catches up with and passes SATURN).
A socio-political-economic cycle ends and a new one starts with their alignment.
At the beginning of the cycle, JUPITER leads (after passing SATURN) in the Zodiac – until technically half-way through the cycle = after 10 years, when JUPITER opposes SATURN, and more and more SATURN is ‘ahead’, and JUPITER ‘behind’ until, well, the connection and passing point.
A lot could be explored around this cycle, it’s effects on society, economy, politics, culture.
For the purpose of this article, I’d just say, simplistically:
The first part (JUPITER leading) is the expansive ‘in-breath’.
The second part (SATURN leading) is the contractive ‘out-breath’.
And at the very end of the passing cycle with not just contractive SATURN in its own sign CAP but also PLUTO and JUPITER – until the very end of CAP before passing SATURN, we’ve seen serious contractions in soooo many ways.
May the tide turn!

Review of recent previous JUPITER – SATURN cycles and patterns between them
The last time they aligned on May 28, 2000 at 23º TAU.
Since then, we’ve seen a very TAUREAN development in economy (ruled by TAU), society, and politics.
Well, both society and politics have been dominated by economy and its influencers / lobbyists.
Some TAUREAN phenomena since then:
- Consumer Capitalism boost at the detriment of Mother Earth
- Conservative governments dominated
- Real estate market skyrocketed but also had huge fluctuations and volatility, see: housing market crisis of 2008
- Building / real estate boom – living in big cities became unaffordable for most people who’re not investors / owners
- Green Revolution in the making, esp since URANUS entered TAU – 2019 – trend towards healthier, organic food (for those who can afford it) and gardening
- Monetary roller-coasters, and cryptocurrency experimentation (leading up to URANUS in TAU since 2018/19)
- Economic disruption, with URANUS in TAU esp. 2020
The Sabian Symbol for the last alignment says:
TAURUS 23°
“A JEWELRY SHOP FILLED WITH VALUABLE GEMS.
KEYNOTE: The social confirmation of natural excellence.
Two elements should be distinguished in this symbolic picture: the gems that result from natural processes, often induced by extreme volcanic heat and pressure, and the finished products of refined craftsmen. On a societal and lower level this symbol for the end of TAU realm with VIRGO undertone points also to the attachment of personal worth with skills, accomplishment, and: acquisition and possession – great for a production / ‘growth’ oriented economy.
The previous cycle started on July 24, 1981 at 5º LIBRA.
…which is double LIBRA – Right Relationship, Harmony, Peace.
PLUTO was also still in LIBRA, until 1984, and SATURN aligned with PLUTO in Oct 1982 (the cycle since ended in Jan 2020!).
Human Relationships were redefined in the 1980’s and spiritual dimensions included.
Beautiful Sabian Symbol about a spiritual relationship which I modified gender balanced (LIBRA):
LIBRA 5°
“A WO/MAN REVEALING TO STUDENTS THE FOUNDATION OF AN INNER KNOWLEDGE UPON WHICH A “NEW WORLD” COULD BE BUILT.
KEYNOTE: The necessity for the youthful spirits to learn from a Teacher who through their long experience has been able to reach solid and illuminating truths, i.e. seed ideas.
An old saying is just as valid today as ever: When the student is ready, the Master appears. But s/he may appear in many disguises. Only 6 degrees away from the 2020 alignment!

CAPRICORN 25°
“A STORE FILLED WITH PRECIOUS ORIENTAL RUGS.
KEYNOTE: The use of cultural and artistic processes as means to enhance personal comfort and appreciation.
Corning after the preceding symbol this one brings us back to the material, yet aesthetic, aspect of the benefits a society can bring its members. A “rug” always implied to some extent something on which a person stands or sits. It is a foundation for cultural “under-standing,” and as such it can have a magical or sacred meaning, as in the case of prayer rugs.
The “woman in a convent” (CAP 24°) probably knows only the bare floor, because her goal is one of transcendence, of surrendering comfort as well as cultural patterns.
But to the social elite, or even to the oriental devotee praying to his god, society offers the relative comfort of beautiful rugs so he may meet the universe, not merely in terms of the support the natural soil gives, but protected by and securely established on the mental-spiritual as well as manual achievements of those who keep the cultural symbols alive.

In a way, the longer 60-year cycle initiated in 1961 is also coming to a close now – as the alignment of JUPITER & SATURN ‘leaps over’ into AQ.
The 60-year cycle also relates to 2 SATURN Returns (29-years each).
And to the Chinese 12 Animal- and 5-Element cycle which comes full circle after 60 years – in early 1961, as in the 2020-to-2021 transition were the Years of Yang Metal Rat to Yin Metal Ox.
From CAP oriented History & Tradition (with all its pros and cons) to AQ future oriented Co-Creation.
Here’s a recent blog post dedicated to the CAP Alignments of JUPITER and SATURN in 1901 & 1961.
Interesting how the last JUPITER – SATURN cycles (2000 – 1981 – 1961) alternate between EARTH – AIR – EARTH Elements.
The ones starting 1961 and 2000 were in almost exact EARTH Trine with each other: 25° CAP (1961) – 23º TAU (2000).
And the one starting in 1981 is in almost exact AIR Trine with the one starting – tomorrow: 5° LIBRA (1981) – 1° AQ (2020).
Again confirming – we’re moving out of the world of matter / a materialistic / hierarchical value system to a lighter and inter-linked world.
We the People. Our Humanity matters, says SATURN freshly in AQ (Dec 16, 2020 – March 7, 2023)
JUPITER uniting with and passing SATURN shows the opportunities that this entails, and how it can inspire our Co-Creation.

AQUARIUS 1°
“AN OLD ADOBE MISSION IN CALIFORNIA.
KEYNOTE: The power inherent in all great human works to endure far beyond the workers’ life spans.
The works and spirit of the Spanish priests who directed the building of the California missions have had a lasting influence on the development of this land; these remain as a monument to the men who were able to make their mark upon this alien environment.
While the zodiacal sign Capricorn begins with a symbol of socio-political power, Aquarius at its start presents a more spiritualized and idealistic or creative picture of the social forces at work. Moreover, it stresses the enduring character of human achievements ensouled by a great vision.
At least within the frame of reference of our Western civilization, the symbol speaks of the projection of a noble ideal into concrete forms of beauty and significance, thus of the radiation of a “civilizing” power into an institution offering to primitive men the opportunity to reach a higher, more organized and productive, level of activity.
This is the first stage in the sixty-first five-fold sequence. It speaks to us of THE CONCRETIZATION OF AN IDEAL.
This also implies the “immortalization” of an individual within a great collective and cultural enterprise.”
Uhhhh – this symbol doesn’t sit well with me.
The AQ Spirit of Vision and Ideal is SO tainted here by missionary & male patriarchal-religious superiority of Spanish priests – bringing ‘civilization’ to ‘primitive men’.
A warning sign to heed the ‘Old Empire’ / ‘New Empire’ idea of ‘A New Humanity’ – again the ‘Great Reset’ / WEF plans – pursued like a religious mission (and broadcast in a predictive programming way) come to mind.
NO thank you, self proclaimed missionaries. We don’t need your top-down religious model, let alone sacrifice ourselves and Nature in old PISCES Age fashion to the immortalization of some sociopath dudes on a mission – and rather come together as free Humans, from the grassroots level up.
Mission impossible.
URANUS in TAU – squared by JUPITER and SATURN in AQ can help us prevent such economic and even biological disruption, and let Nature and Being as Nature prevail.
Having said that – there may well be two or more ‘timelines’ and experiences (according to our choice – early AQ with LIBRA undertone):
Are you going along with the old PISCEAN / CAP collective mode based on subordination, or are you co-innovating and co-creating the NEW, a la AQ?
My hope and trust is the latter, also since JUPITER (understanding, outgrowing, freedom) passes SATURN (concretization) from the conjunction point at 1° AQ onward.
SOOO JUPITER in AQ…!
Wherever JUPITER travels – that area of the Zodiac gets enhanced and magnified.
With a tendency to get the bigger picture, and ‘make it better’.
Simple formula: It gets bigger so that it can get better.
JUPITER’s attributes are: “VERY…” and “SO MUCH…”.
In the AQ World that translates into:
AQ transcends the dimensions of Space (SAG) and Time (CAP), and goes beyond 3-D, and 4-D.
Beyond the limiting collective PISCES Age timelines based on linear, hierarchical (CAP) structures, and their laws, authorities, and execution. In AQ there’s breathing space – as we come out from under the Mountain / Pyramid, and see: We share in equality.
Old limiting ‘matrices’ break open, the PISCEAN collective umbilical chords are cut (URANUS rules AQ, and represents in our initial life experience the last phase of birth, when the baby crowns(!), comes out of the womb, and the umbilical chord is being cut.
CAP is ruled by SATURN – the Planetary Archetype that represents contraction / labour, esp. in its own sign CAP in 2018 – 2020, and PLUTO the birth canal – also in 2020 in CAP, and accentuated by JUPITER (hmmm, a big baby, a big birth happening).
Early AQ has a LIBRA undertone –
We have a choice which realm to be in – the heavy duty, dense ‘safe’, and old (CAP) / collective (PI) or the wildly different, eccentric, light and free (AQ) one – or yet other ones.
Beyond Capricornian rocks, mountains, stones, AQ rules crystals and glass – transparency, lightness, and healing / technology / innovation.
AQ is the last AIR sign, after GEM and LIBRA.
The AIR that connects us, the climate we share.

JUPITER’s Fast Move through AQ & Trying on PISCES (May 13 – July 28)
YES, JUPITER will not ‘just’ go into and through AQ but even check out PISCES (which it used to be the Ruler of before NEPTUNE was discovered).
JUPITER moves quite fast all the way through AQ – within 5 months, until May 13 , from there to the first 2º11′ PISCES (stations round 2º PI in June) from which it backtracks, re-enters AQ on July 28, goes retro until Oct 17, but only back to 22º20′ AQ.
Wow, again so many # 0-1-2, for JUPITER in 2021.
A pattern that started with the SATURN – PLUTO alignment on 01/12/2020, continues with the Winter Solstice at 2:02 am PST on 21/12/2020, the JUPITER – SATURN alignment at 10:21 am PST on 21/12/2020, and the CAP New Moon on 01/12/2021 – anniversary of the SATURN – PLUTO alignment in 2020.
Time to bring the Tarot cards 0-1-2 in again.
Maybe also to shake loose any crazy 0-1-2 ‘spell’.
