PLUTO in CAP goes direct / forward on Oct 3: POWER to Change!

After the SATURN-in-CAP gear shift from retro to direct on Sept 18 we’re in PLUTO-in-CAP U-Turn mode end of Sept to mid-Oct – basically the whole LIBRA season!

On Oct 3, PLUTO in CAP turns direct / forward again!
MERCURY (on Sept 26) and VENUS (on Sept 30) are about to square PLUTO, reminding us that POWER has to do with making wise choices and finding a good match – for various purposes, resulting in peace, balance, and harmony. Maybe a transformation has been going on in you already to show you what it takes for Power to Change, and what needed to change in you to get there.

PLUTO’s retro trip since Apr 24 has brought up a lot of collective and personal inner and old  conditioning, and shown where we can feel disempowered through controlling power structures and hierarchies. This could have manifested in personal, interpersonal and societal dynamics.

With SATURN retro and the Lunar South Node so close to PLUTO retro this Spring / early Summer, we’ve seen lots of concrete evidence of old structures and the ‘Old Empire’ expiring.
Maybe you like myself have experienced situations where reality checks, closures and boundaries (SATURN in CAP) were important to demonstrate you’re not engaging in the old energy anymore but ARE the change.
The South Node is drifting further back in CAP now, while SATURN will approach and finally pass PLUTO (every 38 years only) on Jan 12, 2020. Early 2020 will be very very significant phase for building a new transformed foundation.

This is a turnaround phase to take our Power back, and / or not give it away in the first place. 
Many man-made / human-controlled greed & fear based or top-down authority structures (shadows of CAP-italist CAP) might be hard to come by / seem to require ‘moving mountains’ to make changes in distribution / accessibility / respect for everyone, no matter where they’re ‘positioned’ in the structure.
Yet, that’s also an old Capitalist and PISCES Age story that’s changing now. Too slowly??? Just-in-Time?

Inquiry questions, with the CAP theme these years (2008 – 2023) of PLUTO’s CAP destruction and REbuilding process:

• What and where are RESOURCES (collectively and personally speaking) that don’t waste time and energy and don’t produce more waste but are renewable?
• How can we lead life in a way that isn’t efforting / resisting but resourceful and regenerative?
• Who are the ones (really!) in charge???
• What’s controlling us, and how can we take Power back?
• What’s Power from the inside-out?
• How can we work wisely with TIME?
• How can we be free from / beyond time control, and in timeless awareness?

Where can the change in you be sourced?
What can the status quo change into?

• The Power of TIME and Timeliness.
  How do we know when TIME is ‘right & ripe”?
  Tuning into our inner Soul Time is the way to go.
  Astrology can help by showing us the cosmic cycles, and how to align with them, assisting our natural inner knowing and intuition. 
  Don’t let yourself get pressured by external forces (“You should be already….”) and time / resource scarcity, in this ever so 24/7 production mode world – which isn’t really all that productive anyway if natural cycles of rest and regeneration aren’t honoured.
  So perhaps the Power of TIME means to slow down, smell the Roses, and let things ripen…?
• Honouring the Elders, and Receiving Guidance.
  Elders may be biological Elders, Spirit Elders, the spirit of the ‘Old World’…
  Being guided by them and towards them can be very powerful if you hear the call.
• Working Well with Resources. Being Resourceful.
  Which ties into Time and Natural Laws…
  Working respectfully with the cycles of Nature, incl. our own nature, the human life cycle and day-to-day cycles. CAP traditionally works with the Land and cooperates with Nature.
  When and where is a good time / place to seed / plant / harvest?
  The Fall Equinox (Sept 23) is one of the main markers of the Solar year, and the New Moon in Libra on Sept 28 offers nature-all energy for harvesting / planting new seeds for harmony, balance and relatedness.
  There’s simplicity and beauty in this. Can we apply it again more into our lives?
  CAP says: I use what’s here and make the best out of it. I’m resourceful.
  The shadow would be to abuse, over-use, and the lack would be to under-use what would be a helpful resource.
  So, bottom line: TIME for an inventory / invent-ory.
• Wisdom of the Body.
  The most obvious ‘earthly resource’ is our body of course. Mid-to-late CAP where PLUTO is now has also a TAURUS – VIRGO undertone – TAU rules embodiment and sensations, and VIRGO alignment.
  Don’t let yourself get de-stabilized from chaos, disruptions and imbalance around (an – understandable but not helpful – low grade experience of URANUS now in TAURUS).
  Find and stand your ground, and emBody Freedom.
  Let’s definitely bring the wisdom of the BODY in, for wise choices, and empowering change!

Sabian Symbols for the PLUTO U-Turn Point

PLUTO goes direct / forward from on Oct 3 at 20’38° CAP.

I’ll use both 20° and 21° CAP this time, to show you the theme where PLUTO would have almost gone back to (20°) but didn’t quite. This ground had been already covered (dug up and transformed) by PLUTO – representing the Power of Evolution.

“A HIDDEN CHOIR IS SINGING DURING A RELIGIOUS SERVICE.

KEYNOTE: The fulfillment of the individual’s creative function through his participation in a group performance consecrated to a transcendent realization of unity.

In great cathedrals and other religious edifices the choir is normally hidden behind the altar or above the nave. It symbolizes thus more perfectly the supernal harmony of “heaven” — or the music of the spheres. The ideal of social participation is exalted to its highest manifestation, for the choir also represents the multifaceted and polyphonic unity of the community in its transcendent state of perfect harmony. Within this harmony the individual who has overcome his egocentric separativeness and developed his higher consciousness finds fulfillment in super-personal togetherness.

This is the fifth and last symbol of this fifty-eighth sequence. It presents us with the purest form of group-harmony, the most basic yet most difficult fulfillment of the social state. At the level of the individual person this “hidden choir” would refer to the polyphonic integration of all faculties in their most spiritual manifestations: the ideal of PLENITUDE of being.”

A RELAY RACE.

KEYNOTE: The value of competition in developing group-consciousness.

Here we are no longer dealing with competition between individuals, but with competition between groups of individuals who take turns successively in order to maximize the group effort and the possibility of outstanding results. The whole of civilization is a vast kind of relay race in which groups of people and generations carry the torch of what we call “progress.” Major achievements result from the sum total of human strivings.

This first symbol of the fifty-ninth sequence stresses one especially dynamic aspect of “group performance.” Wherever this symbol appears, it emphasizes the value of group cooperation and of necessary give-and-take. One must seek to relate and adjust one’s strength to the challenge presented by competitors in DYNAMIC INTERCHANGE.”

 

Both the Hidden Choir and the Relay Race Symbols show different expressions of a joint performance in excellence (CAP), stimulated / motivated by unity (the NEPTUNE Archetype – presently very active) and / or challenge and competition (the MARS Archetype – also very ON). 
Both expressions show where the Power to Change can be accessed. 
Not in separation / isolation – the shadow of our oh-so ‘convenient’ electronic age – but in cooperation. Which leads over from CAP to AQUARIUS – the direction PLUTO goes towards and reaches in 2023.

We’re in PLUTO U-Turn mode!

On Sept 30, PLUTO in mid-CAP turns direct / forward again!
The LIBRA New Moon on Oct 8 will square PLUTO, reminding us that POWER has to do with making wise choices, resulting in peace, balance, and harmony.

I’ll use both 18° and 19° CAP this time, to show you the theme where PLUTO would have almost gone back to (18°) but didn’t quite. This ground had been already covered (dug up and transformed) by PLUTO – representing the Power of Evolution:

 

PHASE 288 (CAPRICORN 18°): 
“THE UNION JACK FLAG FLIES FROM A BRITISH WARSHIP.

“Type 45 Destroyer HMS Daring leaving Portsmouth Harbour on its maiden deployment. Britain has no major warships deployed on operations beyond home waters in what has been described as an ‘unprecedented’ (!) absence of the vessels on the world stage.” See PA story Defence Warships. KEYNOTE:
The protection afforded to individuals and groups by powerful institutions in charge of maintaining order.

This symbol reflects conditions prevailing in the past when Great Britain’s fleet was policing the seas under the international principle of the freedom of the seas.
Times have changed, but the concept remains valid.
Power is required to maintain social order and relatively peaceful interpersonal as well as international relationships.
Alas, this power can easily be misused under the pretext of preserving “law and order.” Justice and compassion must balance social power, and especially the power of privileged groups.

Where this symbol appears, the need for protection may be in evidence — or it may be a warning against using power for selfish advantage.

This is the third symbol in the fifty-eighth five-fold sequence. It brings to us a realization of the ambivalence of POLITICAL POWER, its value and its dangers.”

Definitely, we’ve seen a lot of what the description of this symbol represents on the World Power ‘Stage’ (is it all a play???), amped up in the last few years.

Get this: 
PLUTO first touched on the 18° CAP degree in Spring 2016, and then went fully over it from Feb 2017 on, completing (off the U-turn grind) the ‘death-to-the-old and make-over’ by end of October 2018!
Just in time for Halloween, Dia de los Muertos, and:
For the U.S. midterm elections on Nov 6 (ha, on the second-last day of JUPITER in SCO which is ruled by PLUTO – deep sh..-to-change for the better).

 

 

And here’s the next degree – showing what’s up for change, where the shadow lies, and also where the evolution can come from.
PLUTO will activate it in Oct / Nov (and already has, early this year):

 

PHASE 289 (CAPRICORN 19°): 
“A FIVE-YEAR-OLD CHILD CARRYING A BAG FILLED WITH GROCERIES.

KEYNOTE:
Rising to the occasion when asked to assume social responsibilities ahead of one’s normal development.

What seems to be implied at this stage of the cyclic process is the value of early conditioning in teaching one how to fulfill the responsibilities of everyday life in our modern society. This twentieth scene of the complete process has been entitled “Group performance,” and today it is evident that Children at an early age are expected to assume a family role which at times will strain their natural capacities. This is part of the accelerating pace of our technological society.

This fourth stage symbol evokes the possibility of meeting a certain type of social opportunity which normally may seem premature.
A pattern of ACCELERATED GROWTH can thus be established, with both positive and negative aspects. Rushing ahead of one’s natural development may be damaging; yet we are living in a particularly dynamic period of human evolution.”

Please note: Dane Rudhyar wrote this interpretation of the Sabian Symbols in 1973! Ever so timely and intensified in the meantime….

Yes, we need to assume and carry the grocery bags of responsibility where ‘protective adults’ i.e. political powers and people in charge have failed to take care of human needs.
In fact, the whole hierarchical, patriarchal societal pyramidal subordination system is undergoing massive change, and everybody is called to step up to the occasion – whatever our ‘position’ (what’s that anymore?) may be.
And good news:
Instead of buying into and relying on what’s been ‘fed’ to the people by the ‘elite’ we can choose our quality ‘groceries’ (on all levels), access resources, and build the new from the bottom up.
Which might translate into: Living Simply so that Others can Simply Live!

That’s where it’s going i.m.o., as we’re gradually moving into the Aquarian Age – PLUTO leaving CAP, and entering AQ in 2023 being a clear indicator.

S.A.T.U.R.N. – The Acronym. The Archetype.

Greetings, dear Astro Friends,
on Day Three of SATURN in CAPRICORN!

The CAP SUN just passed SATURN on Winter Solstice Day – yesterday Dec 21 – and shows us how it goes: Moving UP, in the Light of Consciousness.
Being in our Authority, keeping it Simple, sticking with Priorities, saying NO as needed, Acknowledging Reality, and working Respectfully with Resources is what the SATURN Doc prescribes…

Saturn Infrared (Hubble Space Telescope)

Let’s play with the S.A.T.U.R.N. Acronym, to demo what the SATURN Archetype is about:

S:
Strong and steady. Stamina. Structure. Sculpting. Statue. Stones. Satisfaction.

A:
Authority. Ancestors. Ancient. Archetypes. Archeology. Astrology. Aboriginal.

T:
Tests. Tasks. Teaching. Teachers. Training. Time. Timing. Threshold.

U:
Use (wise and responsible, for the highest purpose, no abuse / exploitation, no under-use / waste). Ur (ancient in German). Uniform. Unicorn (blend of SAG Horse and CAP Horn).

R:
Ring (boundaries, commitment, container). Rights (standing up for one’s rights, respecting one another’s human and civil rights). Rhythm.

N:
NO. Not. SATURN contrasts and negates the other Archetypes (e.g. SATURN – URANUS: Structure – Freedom; SATURN – NEPTUNE: Form – Formlessness; SATURN – JUPITER: Contraction – Expansion; SATURN – MOON: Elder / Maturation – Child / Needs).

Some of these S.A.T.U.R.N. expressions also relate to CAPRICORN – SATURN’s mountainous ‘domain’ (yet, I’d write a separate blog about CAP Acro).

 

What Time is it? The Sun dial in Beacon Hill Park IS pretty exact. I asked my Swiss friend to check his watch (all so VIRGO), and indeed, with Daylight Savings Time considered (4:15 pm on the watch, 3:15 pm on the Sun dial) it matched up…

The point would be with those Acronym themes to express them well.
Karma cookies may follow. But that’s not why we’re a good expression of these virtues – it may simply be because we’ve experienced what doesn’t work between people and in the world, what wastes time and exhausts energy, and we want to live more simply and in straight-forward manner.

OH SOLSTICE SUN!
Today and tomorrow, Dec 20 /21 are the shortest days of the year, and tonight (Dec 20 / 21) is the longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere:
Here in Victoria B.C. Dec 21 is 7 hours, 48 minutes shorter than on the Summer Solstice: 8 hrs, 18 min. and 33 sec. daylight.

The SUN appears to ‘stand still’ (Sol-stice) for a few days, on the lowest arc of the Ecliptic, before slowly, gradually ‘climbing’ again, and providing minute by minute longer days (Dec 18 – 24: 8 hrs 18 – 19 min., then gradually longer daylight)

WINTER SOLSTICE 2016 will be exactly (as the SUN enters CAP) this year just after sunrise (8:02 am), tomorrow Dec 21 at 8:30 am PST.

 

Voila – here is the Winter Solstice Chart:

What a potent cosmic Winter SoUlstice Sunrise energy!
With CAP Rising, and with CAP SUN / SATURN on the Solstice Point united (exact alignment  4 1/2 hrs later, at 1:08 pm PST!!!).
LILITH in CAP is exactly on the horizon, and PLUTO is in the 1st house, coming up on the horizon within an hour after Solstice sunrise.

• How can visions and ideals (SAG) be brought into reality (CAP)?
• What’s the Soul Force (PLUTO) that drives your ‘purpose’?
• What does it always ‘come down to’, have us get up in the morning and ‘do the work’?
• What’s intrinsically rewarding?

 

For the SoUlstice time, I look forward to nature walks, and engaging in what brings joy and is regenerative (PLUTO) – can be quite ‘simple’ says CAP.

Once CAPRICORN energy sets in, with the Winter Solstice, we are called to manifest what we deeply know (SAG). ‘Only’ resolutions, visions, and promises are not enough.

Let’s walk the talk, and show the evidence…, slowly, steadily, consistently, and without blaming ourselves for not being perfect yet. It’s work (AND play, miracles, joy!) in progress!

 

 

And hey, let’s not fall into the CAP trap of being buried under a mountain of…. (you name it: work, commitments, responsibilities, stuff….), and free up the most important resource: quality TIME / Time quality!

With the freed-up NO-time / clock-less time, let’s give each other the loving gift of time, not only this SOLSTICE!

 

By the way, if you still haven’t seen it yet, or as a reminder – esp. apropos materialistic Christmas:
Watch the 20-min video ‘Story of Stuff’ by Annie Leonard. She launched it 10 years ago(!), in Dec 2007 (just before PLUTO entered CAP, in Jan 2008), to illustrate how the ‘material’s economy’s’ linear system of extraction -> production -> distribution -> consumption -> disposal is unsustainable on a finite planet.
Which I’m sure is pretty obvious to you, dear reader, but perhaps you’d like to show / send it to some rare  ‘disbelievers’ out there. Apropos Mercury retro in SAG.
The project has evolved: In the meantime, there is also the ‘Story of Change’ and the ‘Story of Solutions’.
We sure need those nowadays. And work differently, more respectfully and sustainably with resources, says CAP, now mandatory and rewarding to do so, under SATURN very freshly in CAP.

CAP rules Time and Resources.

TIME as we know it, and our ways of working with it is indeed changing too.

Whether we are speaking metaphysically of transcending the conditioned experience of time, and tapping into 5th dimensional (beyond Time which is considered the 4th dimension) consciousness, or quite practically – it happens on all levels:

Astrologically, PLUTO (powerful evolutionary change agent) is presently in CAP (which rules time and maturity), 2008 – 2023.

Are we being swallowed by the ‘Time Monster’ or some other draconian super power or gruesome force? Or will the old Time Machine die a slow yet inevitable death? With PLUTO, my suggested formula goes like this: It gets intense as it changes…
And yep, the phenomenon of Time scarcity is really big these days.
Maybe because of being pulled into so many directions, via social media and otherwise offers and seductions, coupled with an exploitation of the human greed to get something, and to belong, creating omnipresent nervous FOMO (fear of missing out). 
SATURN in CAP is here to put the foot down, and help us set boundaries to what we really need, and what satisfies us – quite simply.

 

Historically, humanity has attempted to be the masters of time and productivity since PLUTO was the last time in CAP (late 1700’s, the times of the American, French, and Industrial Revolution, and major colonization, and ‘distribution’ of the world resources among imperialistic countries that subordinated and ‘ruled over’ indigenous cultures.
The ever faster running wheels and productivity devices have turned against us. With all the opportunities that ‘saving time’ has brought us we have become the slaves of time (as scarcity). Many people are caught in the machinery and ‘live for retirement’, or just want to maximize ‘life value’ while imposing our generation’s debt on the shoulders of the next generations, and ‘fall-out’ effects onto the Planet Earth. This is unsustainable.

Change is underway. Too slow? Effective and transformational enough?

 

Here is a random act of log wisdom that I found at a nearby beach (and left it there, for the next person): “Money, like manure, does no good until it’s spread around.”
Not just money, any resource and what we can extract from deep processes wants to be ‘spread around’ and used wisely now, with PLUTO and now also SATURN in CAP.

So how about right NOW (says ARIES where UR stirs up the pot), and from now on (with the Solstice SUN, SATURN, LILITH, and PLUTO in CAPRICORN):

~ Reclaiming alignment with time and natural laws (like the TAO),

~ Taking down-time in the midst of time acceleration craze,

~ Respecting ancient, timeless (and timely!) wisdom, and

~ Living more simply so that others can simply live?

 

Time is Consciousness.

“Not enough time for love, relationship, children” – postponing those to Day X, when “the work is done” could be a self trapping statement of purpose, attainment, and completion oriented CAPRICORN.

“The Work” is never done, we can’t personally be ever complete with what we set out to do.

And as Joanna Macy would say: “Help create a project that survives you!” A transpersonal practice a la PLUTO.

 

Did you know? CAPRICORN is actually a mythical fish-tailed Sea Goat.

What’s with that, you might ask?

The time of Winter Solstice when the SUN enters CAPRICORN has been traditionally (in the Pisces Age) celebrated as the birth of redeemers – masters who have climbed up the mountain of spiritual attainment, and offered their energy to the collective – the fish tail is an association with operating in the waters of Oneness. 

 

Which brings us to… CHRISTMAS!

A few years ago round this Advent time, I went to a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at the Victoria Christ Church Cathedral. One of the Carols (commissioned by the CCC in 2011) struck me as relating (for those who are aware) to the Astrology and symbolism of the Christ Birth after Winter Solstice:

 

 

Magi and A Poor Place

A poor place this, no place to welcome kings;
No place for myrrh or frankincense or gold.
A place for simple folk and simple things;
A place of shadows, comfortless and cold.
Yet kings are here, and now as daylight dies,
By their command an minstrel softly sings
To calm the child while Magi search the skies
For mighty Jupiter and Saturn’s rings.

So poor a place, yet now it welcomes kings.
See how they pause outside the stable door.
See how they kneel as each one humbly brings
A gift and lays it on the earthen floor.
For if the stars are true, if planets speak,
And if their journey to this humble place
Has guided them aright, this child they seek
Is mighty ruler both of time and space.

I was astounded to hear and read in this beautiful ‘modern’ and timeless carol about

• “…while Magi search the skies for mighty Jupiter and Saturn’s rings.”The (triple) JUPITER / SATURN conjunction in PISCES in the year 6 BC which was apparently considered the ‘Star of Bethlehem’ – the biggest planets in our Solar System aligned which happens (usually only once) every 20 year could have appeared as ‘A Star’.
  Apparently right overhead Israel (which is ruled by SATURN) at the time.
  JUPITER and SATURN united stands for the Archetype of a master / teacher / guru / king. And the fact that the Great Conjunction happened in PISCES at the onset of the PISCES Age promised a new religious / spiritual era.

• “Is mighty ruler of time and space” reminds me of the Space / Time Point from SAG to CAP, at Winter Solstice. SAG rules Space and CAP rules TIME (see above).
  The JU / SAT alignment didn’t happen at the Winter Solstice 6 BC, but JU and SAT rule that point! And that’s when The Light of the SUN Returns / is REborn…

Hmm, goes to show, maybe Christianity knew something about Astrology, and ‘placed’ the birth of the redeemer onto Day 3 after Winter Solstice, when the SUN starts to gradually ‘return and climb’ on the Ecliptic.

SATURN in CAPRICORN (Dec 20, 2017 – Dec 16, 2020): About TIME…!

SATURN, the Archetype of the INNER ELDER / TEACHER / SAGE  will enter its own ‘mountainous’ domain of CAPRICORN on DEC 19 (Dec 20 AST, and anywhere East of it).

It wants (us) to climb – saying: Humanity, you can do better!

SATURN in CAP until DEC 16, 2020 will shape us up, and help us grow up, to be more fully on purpose, and not waste (anymore) precious time and resources.
2020 btw will be a huge CAP year, with JUPITER, SATURN, and PLUTO – big time structural changes!

 

SATURN has a 29-year cycle, and hasn’t been in CAP since NOV 1989 – JAN 1991, a time of huge structural changes esp. with the Berlin / East German Wall coming down, with a domino effect on Eastern European Communist regimes…

Societally, are we into times of more control, restrictive laws, and authoritarian, ultra conservative regimes?
Definitely a possibility. I trust that LILITH and PLUTO in CAP, ahead of SATURN, are ‘regulating’, and show how empowerment of people (esp. those usually on the ‘bottom of the pyramid’) is now underway, not to be controlled anymore.
JUPITER in SCO this year (Oct 2017 – Nov 2018) also helps to bring out hidden agenda.
And URANUS going into TAU (first brief phase May – early Nov 2018, then from March 2019 on) is a big Wake-up call of the Earth, and of values that matter.
Change is upon us. We gotta step into our natural authority, and not give it away (old mode SAT – CAP).
SATURN in CAP helps us with being resilient, and not give up – when the goal is worth pursuing and attaining.

And it helps us with saying NO to what’s a waste of time and energy.
Apropos energy:
SATURN in CAP is super energy efficient, and therefore into
Refuse – reuse – repurpose – recycle.

 

First things first (a la CAP):
What a Winter SoUlstice this will be, with SUN & SATURN aligned on the ‘Integrity Point, the first degree of CAP (see chart below)!
Hasn’t happened since 1870 that SATURN entered CAP just before Winter Solstice.

KEYNOTE: The power and responsibility implied in any claim for leadership.

It complements its polar opposite (Summer Solstice degree), which refers to the acceptance by the individual of a new kind of allegiance as a foundation for the integration of a mature personality. Such a foundation may, but need not, refer to establishing a home.

This represents the first stage in a five-fold process — the fifty-fifth sequence of five symbols. It refers to the capacity latent in every individual to claim and assume AUTHORITY in a vital group-situation.”

 

SATURN in CAP is clearly about Authority – a notion to claim it where appropriate, and the repercussions of its use (or abuse).
Quite clearly, we’re seeing plenty of evidence of the necessity for responsible leadership and authority, and for the misuse of it. The theme becomes more prominent in the SATURN in CAP years that can also have a heightened karmic effect (SATURN being the ‘Lord of Karma’, in its own domain CAP), across the board.
What / who’s evidently not fit for authority must adjust, or go.
Actually quite simple.
May better leadership and authority establish itself in these years.
What in us doesn’t step UP to the occasion, and assume leadership (because you can, you have the cap-acities)?
What’s in the way of truly leading your life?

 

Ganesha – Elephant headed Hindu god, known as the ‘Remover of Obstacles’ on the path, and Guru that takes us from the darkness (of not seeing what the obstacles is / was) to the Light.

Elephant headed Ganesh, known as the ‘Remover of Obstacles on the Path’ is buddies with SATURN, and can be invoked (if you resonate with him), to bring the (actual) obstacles to the light, whatever they may be, and a path to overcome or release them.

Speaking of The Path, SATURN comes out of SAG as it enters CAP.
And SAG is a lot about the Path we’re on.

RE-CAP:
Under SATURN in SAG over the last almost 3 years (since DEC 2014, and fully from SEPT 17, 2015 on) we’ve come to see through the ‘fake’, manipulative agenda, empty promises, and not so much light bringing but perhaps even life threatening ‘stories’ and beliefs. And we were called to be done with our own old stories and limiting beliefs.

Have you been able to cut through and rise beyond that, and be in your intrinsic Truth?
What does that look like now, vs 3 years ago? Comparing before – after is a great SATURN tool.
We’ve been challenged (SAT) to stay focused (SAG) on what matters most, and to come from the Heart (SAG Archer), rather than be pulled into divisive right-wrong polarization. 
SATURN from SAG to CAP – what I call the Integrity Point in the Zodiac – shows:
Being more solidly in our Truth, having cropped and pruned all sorts of BS that’s out there and can waste our time and energy, we see what’s real and meaningful.
Now it’s Time to live in Integrity and mature (inner / outer) leadership!
Rather than judging others we lead by example.

Speaking of maturity, SATURN, esp. in CAP, is also the Elder, the Sage, the Crone Archetype.
A group participant in one of our SATURN into CAP groups reminded us that Crone and Chronos = Greek name for SATURN relate!

“Her own child baring days are past; she is the wisdom keeper, seer and healer and midwife, whose knowledge is sought out to guide others during life’s hardships and transitions.” from: the Goddess Guide that also offers a list of many Crone Goddesses in different cultures (like Ereshkigal, Grandmother Spiderwoman, Hekate, Lilith, Frau Holle…). All of them can be invoked in these times where the Wisdom of the Old can lead us on.

With SATURN in CAP, Elderhood becomes important, and the Elders need to be respected and can help in precarious times, as experienced leaders. 
Societally, issues of old age security will become big, esp. since a big wave of baby boomers retire now.

 

The stakes are high, and Integrity is the key.
Growing-up time for humanity.

Say what you do, and do what you say, be the mature adult, and let SATURN be your accountability coach.
Integrity and accountability – essentially all good leadership qualities (or rather the lack thereof – SATURN’s job is to also show what’s missing, and why it would be so important to re-attain this) are a big deal these days in society, and perhaps also in our personal world.

If you have a CAPRICORN side in you it gets ‘SATURN-ized’:
SATURN’s TTTTT brings Tests, Tasks, Teaching, and Training, in Timeliness.

 

The following Themes will become important Priorities under SATURN in CAPRICORN:

AUTHORITY:
Who’s the Boss? You are. Bottom line – it’s your life. No one to blame or judge. Wouldn’t that be simple?

LESS is MORE:
End of guilt and ‘shoulds’, taking too much on, feeling resentful... you name it. Heavy, heavy stuff.
SATURN in CAP is quite ZEN about things: Simplicity beyond complexity, on all levels. Quality over quantity. Minimalism becomes more attractive to many.

INTEGRITY:
Say what you do, and do what you say, walk your talk, lead by example, and be the Change you wish to see. Hold yourself accountable, and honour the incremental progress (rather than being hard on yourself), like a good coach.

TIMING:
“…is everything” says CAP which works with the natural seasons of the year and the day, like a good traditional farmer. And yes, there are therefore times of focus and concentrated work, times of play, times of rest. To everything, there is a season, and a reason for the season – for YOU. Remember: with SATURN, you’re the boss, and it’s your time. Just say yes. Just say no.

The LAW:
Living by the Inner, Universal, Natural and Cosmic Laws.
Yet also important reforms of societal Laws that are not a reflection of common sense and constitutional rights will be due.

RESOURCES:
SATURN in CAP teaches us to become masters in resourcefulness (sometimes through necessity) and in self reliance. Perhaps through tapping into the CAPacities of our Ancestors to work with the land and the seasons – CAP rules Agriculture…
The shadow = exploitation of resources, people and ourselves, backfires with karmic SATURN. We only get away with so much, before it comes back at us…
The smart CAP Goat says: “I use. I use optimally what I got. I get (only) what I use. I use everything for the highest purpose.” (applies to everything, any life situation, like: rather than wasting it on the lower vibration of judgment and self judgment, how can we use it as a teaching, or…?)

RESPONSIBILITY:
What is it that we need to be good stewards and guardians of? I can think of a few things… esp. all that Mother Nature provides and makes life on Earth sustainable.
On the other hand, there can be lessons about not to take on what’s not ours to carry (like: by taking over, rather than letting others shape up and mature, or – similarly – by burdening ourselves with other people’s stuff).

MATURITY and AGING WELL:
Being mature and wise, instead of old, judgmental, and rigid. The societal issue (burden?) of an aging baby boomer generation will be a big deal under SATURN in CAP. Anti-aging will be popular – and aging well can be quite simple, by living well – which comes back to self-responsibility.

 

The CAPRICORN constellation is a fish-tailed Seagoat / Goat-Fish(did you know?). 

The CAP Being who has attained mastery on the height of ‘the mountain’ – but not just for their own purpose. The accomplishment / mastery must be made available to ALL (Fish).

Sometimes, this theme turns for our CAP side into the lower vibration of martyrdom.
Keep an eye on it, and say NO when taking too much on FOR others just isn’t right.

SATURN relates to the ROOT Chakra.
People with a strong SATURN in their chart are / need to be very grounded, and convert fear (a SATURN expression) into being in the here-now, grounding, and checking in with the physical body and its sensations.

As you see, it’s quite a celestial concentration from mid-SAG to mid-CAP, with MERCURY retro (almost ready to go direct again, on Dec 22 – yet in stationary slow moving / turnaround ‘storm’, VENUS, the late SAG SUN, and then over in CAP: SATURN, LILITH, PLUTO, and on that day also the newly waxing MOON, aligned with PLUTO.

All gathering around the Winter SoUlstice Point of the Cosmic Tree / the Space (SAG) – Time (CAP) point, where we’re called to be at the right time at the right place.

Sounds simplistic perhaps. But can be hugely relevant, and perhaps even sum up Integrity.
What guides us, in this darkest point of the (Northern) year???

LILITH is ahead of SATURN in CAP, and so it PLUTO (SATURN aligns with PLUTO in Jan 2020). 
Therefore, CAP ‘success’, ‘mastery’, ‘resource & time management’ and ‘planning’ must be aligned with LILITH’s Crone Wisdom, and the core of what matters most (PLUTO in CAP).

 

SATURN in YOUR Chart…

…shows where YOU are called to be on Purpose, in your Authority, Self Mastery, and Bring out YOUR Best, which areas of life call you for that (money, children, relationships, travel, career…), in what way (Sign), and in which  other dynamics (Aspects to other Planets).

JUPITER opposes URANUS and PLUTO in CAP goes direct (Sept 27 / 28): Wise Choices in Authenticity. Wisdom of the Body. Authority of Natural Laws.

Hmmm, that’s a mouthful of a title…

Hopefully sums up what helps in dilemmas and choices we’re facing SO much these days, personally and collectively, choices of small and bigger impact, esp. since JUPITER is in LIBRA (SEPT 9, 2016 – OCT 10, 2017).

I say intentionally ‘Choices’ instead of ‘Decisions’ to balance out the masculine and also potentially disempowering language and experience of the word decision = “I have to”, which is also quite a narrow polarized dualistic  ‘this or that’ way of looking at things.

We do indeed have many choices – and are constantly exposed to lots of different avenues and approaches we can take. The gifts of our interconnected modern world. Which creates overwhelm too (TOOO much to choose from, is also what JUPITER in LIBRA can bring up).
SO,

• What would be a wise choice now, given all the implications and people involved?
• A choice / choices from a ‘higher vantage point’ (JUPITER expands our consciousness and sees things from an ‘Eagle Perspective’)?
• A choice that supports balance in relationships, and synergy – everybody wins and grows (LIBRA / JUPITER)?
• Choices that bring peace and harmony, yet not for its own sake / at anyone’s expense (JUPITER in SCORPIO would show where hidden agenda sits)?

 

JUPITER will be only 2 more weeks in LIBRA before it crosses over the ‘Tipping Point’ into SCORPIO on OCT 10!
Let’s choose wisely, since Choices lead to Change!

PLUTO in mid-CAPRICORN goes from retro (since APR 20, a yearly pattern) again direct / forward from Earth perspective, tomorrow SEPT 28!
With the stationary PLUTO energy, SEPT and OCT 2017 are quite PLUTO months where a lot of purging and transformation takes place:

With PLUTO retro in CAP, we’ve been purging a lot of inner and old conditioning related to power and control, fear and (self) punishment, abuse, rejection, resentment, sense of failure (according to which standards?), and judgment.
SO much out there in the world – and in us…
THIS needs to move, and transmute into something else that’s a much better use of the CAP energy.

 

PLUTO sits almost between JUPITER and URANUS – a wide T-square, and is the catalyst for change, helping with wise choices in authenticity.

What does PLUTO in CAP point to and what can it change into?

• The Power of TIME and Timeliness.
  How do we know when’s the ‘right & ripe time’? Astrology helps through showing us the cosmic cycles, and how to align with them. And natural inner knowing and alignment helps too. Don’t let yourself get pressured from external forces (“You should be already….”) in this ever so 24/7 production mode world (which isn’t really all that productive if natural cycles of rest and regenration aren’t honoured.
  So perhaps the Power of TIME means to slow down, smell the Roses, and let things ripen…?
• Honouring the Elders, and Receiving Guidance.
  Elders may be biological Elders, Spirit Elders, the spirit of the ‘Old World’…
  Being guided by and to them can be very powerful if you hear the call (SATURN, the ruler of CAP is now in SAG, testing us to find where the most important YES is).
• Working Well with Resources. Being Resourceful.
  Which ties into Time and Natural Laws…
  Working respectfully with the cycles of nature, incl. our own nature, the human life cycle and day-to-day cycles. CAP traditionally works with the Land and cooperates with Nature. When and where is a good time / place to seed / plant / harvest?
  There’s simplicity and beauty in this. Can we apply it again more into our lives?
  CAP says: I use (I use what’s here and make the best out of it, I’m resourceful).
  The shadow would be to abuse, over-use, and the lack would be to under-use what would be a helpful resource.
  So, bottom line: Time for an inventory / invent-ory.
• Wisdom of the Body.
  The most obvious ‘earthly’ resource close to us is our body of course. Mid-CAP where PLUTO is now has also a TAURUS undertone – TAU rules bodily sensation.
  Don’t let yourself get de-stabilized from chaos and imbalance around (low grade experience of UR in AR). Find and stand your ground.
  So yeah, let’s definitely bring the wisdom of the body in for wise choices!

KEYNOTE: The escape from bondage to social inhibitions and a reliance upon the wisdom of the body.

Under the pressure of religions that have created a sharp and unwholesome division between soul and body, society has produced strict codes of values regarding the play of natural instincts, and has glorified them under the name of “decency” and “modesty.” The growing trend toward nudism — which of course has nothing to do with the “pornographic” display of one’s body — is a welcome protest against the depressing and neurosis-generating puritanism of the past. Men and women are demanding a psychologically as well as physically healthful freedom of the body as a means of overcoming the hypocrisy and constrictions of social behavior.

In this second stage symbol we see how our society has been able to repress and distort the natural activity of the human body and its sensitivity to the elements. Thus a contrast is established between healthy youth at play and the neurotic subservience to a socio-religious tradition. The symbol is a call for RELEASE FROM INHIBITIONS.

Indeed, the Body is wiser than all the concepts and expectations superimposed on life.
