TAURUS Themes are strong now
Fixed, earthy (first Earth sign!) TAURUS (ruled by VENUS) is all about embodiment, enjoyment of Life-on-Earth, sensuality, food, assimilation, and gathering of value.
A substance building energy.
Immersed in the realm of TAURUS, like in the full bloom of Spring, we celebrate the physical senses, comfort & pleasure, everything that creates security and grounding, and grows over time. Taurean energy takes roots, builds, cultivates, and conserves, like a gardener, farmer, and good custodian of the Earth.
TAU likes to attract what’s pleasant, to experience it via the senses, to eat, assimilate, gather & accumulate, to settle and to claim ownership & territory.
TAU slows down, after the fast and furious ARIES energy, and favours predictability and patience; therefore habits & routines are formed.

Presently, there’s a LOT going on in TAURUS, via: URANUS (since 2018 /19), JUPITER (May 16, 2023 – May 25, 2024), the SUN (seasonally, Apr 19 – May 20), and also soon VENUS (Apr 29 – May 23). What a TAUREAN energy field – polarized by the SCO Full Moon!
An atmosphere that invites us to be calm, conscious, and creative, and wake up to Being Here – on this Earth, in this Life, in this beautiful season of Spring – while being free & unattached from material ‘comfort traps’ and ‘convenience hooks’.
URANUSthe shaker-upper / waker-upper, these years (2018/19 – 2026) in TAU has been pointing to disruption of Nature & biology, of the economy & monetary system, of the comfortable, habitual consumer culture, and of our organic ways of being in physical contact w. each other.
Yet, URANUS helps us also to awaken from ‘convenience’ (incl. ‘convenient paradigms’) and to be more unconditionally free.
URANUS got a big boost from JUPITER – exact on Apr 20 – which feeds into the Full Moon energy. JUPITER is now ahead of URANUS. Breakthroughs into emBodied Joy, Truth, and Freedom! Now we can understanding (JU) the erratic / disruptive / crazy BS energy – around us, in us, in the world (UR in TAU) – and can be free (UR). Unless we’re still stuck in indulging in it (SCO – TAU), lol.
PLUTO freshly in AQ, squared by the SUN in TAU (exact on Apr 21): Let’s not get used to new ‘normalized AI’ / transhumanism take-over. We Humans are organic, nature-ALL Earth Beings (TAU).
TAURUS & the Heart Torus
In 2020 / 21, I was wondering how the ‘6 ft apart’ physical (TAU) tactile ‘free’ distanceaffects our auric / Heart Chakra energy exchanges with each other. I mean, it was pretty palpable.
The graphic from the Heart Math Institute to the left shows the electromagnetic (URANUS) energy field of the Heart – which extends as a ‘doughnut like’ Torus shape (not to be mixed up with TAURUS – but hey, maybe there IS a connection…) – about 5-6 ft around a human being.
Let’s keep emitting Heart Energy!
May our Heart Toruses expand and connect! And may Heart Intelligence move us through all the predicaments that present themselves currently.

SCO (ruled by PLUTO) carries Transformation Medicine
The ‘fixed’ / still / deep watersign SCO (related to lakes and ponds)in contrast to the ‘above ground’ green & growing Taurean world, takes us into emotionally intense, at first ‘ugly’, uncomfortable, and painful places in the ‘muck’ of the subconscious where hidden, and often covered or repressed emotional material– and treasures – sit.
Just as the leaves rot and go beneath the earth in late Oct – late Nov, the Scorpionic energy takes us to the ‘grand mystery’ of death & rebirth, and to processes that have nowhere to go but down & through, for alchemy to happen.
TAU – SCO also represent the pleasure – pain, and life – death axis.
SCO penetrates the underground / underworld / underbelly, which can be a painful process. This is where transformational ‘digestion’ of what’s already dead happens, so that it can be purged and eliminated.
Our very ‘human humus’ and shadow can’t be just ‘gotten rid of,’ or ‘hidden away’. It needs to be processed to become a composting ‘fertilizer’ for renewal – the Alchemy of Life.
SCORPIO is for the MOON the most ‘challenging’ sign. While LUNA is considered ‘exalted’ in TAU, it’s trad. ‘in Fall’ in SCO – since:
The MOON represents emotions, our instinctual mind (in a broad sense: body-mind, feeling-mind), and our needs and habits which by nature long for nourishment and sustenance.
Taurean energy provides such sustaining delivery & assimilation – intake through feeding & reliable presence…
Whereas SCOrepresents necessary detoxifying elimination, often through painful processess. That’s not what the Lunar side (representing also our Inner Child) is most comfortable with… deep & difficult emotions come up.

Under a SCO MOON (whether we’re born with it, have it by astrological Progression for 2½ years every 29 years, or whether the MOON in SCO for 2½ days per month affects us), we’re instinctively sensitized towards the need to purge what’s toxic & outlived, what controls us, and doesn’t allow us to be free, in a deeper sense.
The process calls us to go into the ‘mouth of the monster’ and through its bowels even, while our head and ego might severely protest and resist.
SCO MOON experiences can lead us to thedeepest abyss of our inner worlds, yet are an opportunity to take us through it, and be regenerated and transformed through the process.
Not ‘comfortable’ or ‘easy’ but so spiritually rewarding, and blessed by the Wesak Moon.

A LOT can shift and move quite suddenly and surprisingly, via the JUPITERian / URANian involvement.
Wake-up calls from Mother Earth are striking.
URANUS & JUPITER in TAU: Wake up to being an emBodiment of Nature, live life joyously, and in accordance with the Earth and our Earth Body.
Let’s contribute joy, blessings, calm, groundedness into the ‘electrified’ energy field, and: ground the Light.
Freedom comes in so many ways.
Let’s get out of our habitual comfort zone, and cut the energetic umbilical chord to an old outdated and exhausted model.
Balance is a key theme for the Full Moon opposition. A FM is the ‘Mother of Oppositions’, calling for Balance, Integration, and Right Relationship.
Plus, PLUTO in early AQ which T-squares the Full Moon axis has a LIBRA undertone – evoking social fairness and justice, for ALL of Humanity.
What’s in that regard with the war in / on Gaza, going on for 6 months(!)?
All Humans matter equally (PLUTO in early AQ – with LIBRA undertone). The end (is it still about Hamas?) doesn’t justify the means and its ‘side effects’ – of killing 30000 innocent Palestinians, incl. children. The issue about territorial occupation (TAU) in the ‘background’ (SCO) has been brought to the attention of Humanity.
Shadow expressions of SCOare manipulation, emotional control, secrecy, violating privacy, schemes & power games, destructiveness, black magic, self-defeating psychology – brought up by the Full Moon. In connection with PLUTO the Ruler of SCO squaring the FM from early AQ it’s about society, humanity & technological systems.

It’s been said that we’re currently in the Kali Yuga – the World Age of Darkness, Discord & Conflicts (in a way the ‘devolution of humanity’). May Kali help us call out and transform what’s been present for so long.
Hopefully, we can SEE the Moon Goddess Her in all Her glory (suspense-suspense, and no attachments, ha-ha)!
We sure FEEL Her already… and will even more so, once She’ll enter SCO (on Tue morning 8:20 am PDT).
So much emotional intensity is UP these days – culminating with the SCO – TAU FM onApr 23.
The tides are high. Things come to a culmination / fruition (think: Full Moon – Harvest Moon, Full Birthing Belly), to be revealed, transformed and released.
Spiritually, the Buddha Moon supports it all (more about this below)…
Why is PLUTO so relevant now?

PLUTO rules SCO. And T-squares the SCO – TAU FM axis. The FM energy can find an outlet via PLUTO, and vice versa.
PLUTO, now in early AQ, turns from direct-forward from Earth perspective to retro on May 2, hence is a stationary focus end of Apr to early May – calling us:
* Not to give power away to ‘the System’
* To not hide out with our Power / keep it hidden from ourselves.
* To regenerate, find empowered Soul Integrity from within, and walk with / in it – while being in empowered / empowering community.

The Full Moon will be exact at 4:49 pm PDT on Apr 23.
A lot about the energy field has been already presented above. Here are other factors that struck me – and you can see in the chart:
Again, the strong concentration of energies between mid-PISCES (w. SCO undertone), via SATURN, and mid- to end of TAU, via JUPITER / URANUS – freshly aligned (Apr 20). All of that catalyzed through the SCO – TAU FM.
PLUTO, ruler of SCO, now stationary (going retro on May 2) in early AQ, in T-square w. the FM axis, is the ‘singleton’ (only Planet) in the AIR Element. Reason & objectivity isn’t easy to come by, these days.
The Future of Humanity (AQ) appears either utopian or dystopian – if we give power away to ‘the System’ (AQ).PLUTO brings up extremes, to show where the shadow lays and what change needs to happen. Evolution needs to come through Humanity.
More AIR-y lightness & brightness coming in, via JUPITER entering GEM(!), on May 25 – and of course GEMINI Season (SUN, MERCURY, VENUS), end of May to Summer Solstice.
The PISCEAN influx / inundation will fade once MARS has passed NEPTUNE (overwhelming energies? feeling like giving up, or checking out?) on Apr 28, and moves into His own heroic sign of ARIES, on Apr 30. Much needed vitality and zest kicks in from May on.
In the meantime, SO much is going on in ARIES (where MARS is ‘at home’): MERCURY is now retro (Apr 1 – 25), in ARIES:Back to the Beginnings.
So much as been re-vealed, via information, conversations, ‘in your face’ news – about the ‘early phases’ of… (you name it). Although, it could have re-wounded / re-traumatized it can also contribute to healing (MERCURY in AR touches CHIRON 3 times in this phase, pre-, during, and post-retro).
The TAURUS ruler VENUS is currently in ARIES too, close to MERCURY retro, the NN, and CHIRON.
Doing what we love, and what healthy self love would do is healing. As well as being brave / authentic / fierce, and taking initiative, whether in writing, or communicating otherwise – esp. related to themes of love / what we love.
On Apr 29, day before the Martian move, VENUS, currently the ‘belligerent bellezza’ in ARIES (attracted to too many battles?), will settle into Her joyful domain’ of TAU (where She’ll dwell until May 23) – Enticing us to enJoy the Beauty of Spring, and of Life.
The transformational SCO Full Moon will ‘escort’ MARS & VENUS out of these ‘problematic’ into more ‘natural’ expressions.
TAURUS – where the big draw is now – features the JUPITER / URANUS union. URANUS in TAU these years (2018 / 19 – 2026), and esp. this TAU season is a call to wake up, enJoy Life-in-Spring, and emBody Freedom as your True Nature!
Also noteworthy: LILITH in VIR, after opposing SATURN in PI (exact last Oct, yet still ‘lingering’) has been opposed by MARS last week, and will oppose NEPTUNE in PI throughout June. The only other opposition currently, besides the FM axis.
A juxtaposition between challenges through collective & chaotic forces (PI) and the notion to be in our Temple of Wellness-in-Wholeness, use the tools at our disposal, adhere to what’s good for us, and be of service in soulful ways (VIR).
The Scorpionic Buddha Moon helps us with channeling all these ‘free flowing’ energies into deep processes that get us to the Heart & Soul of the Matter, where change can happen.

What a powerful juxtaposition – in almost reverse SCO – TAU dynamic, showing the attachment ‘problem’ / painful experiences with either.
For SCO: The seemingly unchangeable institutions, and the powerful binding and absorbing collective forces in city / civilization life. How can we free ourselves from those?
For TAU: The tragic reality of impermanence. Can we radically-pro-actively discard the past (URANUS in TAU) – Or at least our attachment to what / whom we have bonded?
Well, that lends itself to a transition to…
The Wesak Moon of the Buddha

The Wesak Moon is celebrated by the Buddhist World Sangha (community), honouring the birth, enlightenment, and passing of Gautama Siddhartha, the Buddha, who walked the Earth more than 2500 years ago, and set an example for the Living Buddha in all of us.
In Buddhist cultures, the Full Moon in May traditionally marks the Wesak Moon, which falls this year on May 22 / 23 – when the SUN will be already in GEM and the MOON in SAG.
I’ve found that the Wesak Moon with its Buddhist teachings aligns so well with the SCO – TAU axis. Therefore, I refer to the yearly SCO – TAU Full Moon (which might, as this year, occur already in April) as the astrological Wesak Moon.
So many provoking and out-of-control situations are up… The deep emotions they evoke can pull us into a ‘pain-body’ loop. Eckhart Tolle coined the term ‘pain body’ – what I refer to here.
Staying with what-IS, being calm (TAU) & conscious (SUN), holding space for what’s going on deeply-emotionally (MOON) can bring us to the core (SCO) of the matter (TAU), and is being transformed (SCO) in this cauldron.
Sitting in the Buddha Heart Hub, with wisdom and compassion, in the Wheel of Life, saves the day and is the way / the pathless path.
PLUTO, ruler of SCO, ‘undertaker’ and archaeologist Archetype, now in AQ and in T-square with the Full Moon,helps unearth our core essence & Soul Power as Humans.
PLUTO now at the beginning of AQ (with LIBRA undertone) prescribes / can bring out (while also showing extremes in that regard: The Power of our shared genuine Humanity, and World Community– also an antidote to isolation & alienation (shadow of AQ).
An essential question in Buddhist teachings: Why do we humans suffer / are we dissatisfied / discontent (‘dukkha’)?
It’s simple and ‘revolutionarily’ obvious to see it this way (why do we forget?!): Because of our attachments to what we desire, and their frustration – not getting what we want, and not being able (or: willing!) to get rid of / resist the unwanted and painful, yet being trapped in its grip. Which is… very TAU – SCO!
And Scorpionic pain, death, loss, grief and the whole spectrum of emotional depth – which, if it doesn’t crush us, can bring us to the essence of where real Power within sits, and change us in our evolution, personally & collectively.
What does the Buddha say to this essential polarity in life?
There’s a difference between physical / emotional pain, and the human suffering coming from it – the ‘pain body’.
Suffering – even though it may feel so appropriate and legit – has to do with the attachmentto the desire for what we want, and to the desire of getting rid of the unwanted and painful. It comes up esp. in the ‘sticky’ fixed signs TAU – SCO (the FM axis), LEO, and AQ (PLUTO, squaring the FM).
The Buddhists would suggest two ‘ways out’ of suffering:
* To be aware that nothing really lasts forever. Everything that has manifested is impermanent. This world of phenomena is in constant flux and change (SATURN& NEPTUNE in PI show us a lot about this too…). Realizing this helps us to better surf the ‘waves of change’, and become free from wanting it ‘our way’.
* To walk the ‘Middle Path’, a.k.a. to practice the Noble 8-fold Path (right speech, right livelihood, right action, etc.) whichbrings intrinsic happiness.
Awakening, and emBodying Freedomis buddha-ful. Awakener URANUS & JUPITER united in TAU are activated by the SUN in the Full Moon. Bright – clear – conscious – liberated – alive energyis available, on the other side of the SCO process…
I’ve been listening to Eckhart Tolle’s audio book (read by him) A New Earth (there’s prob. also an online version available), and find it so helpful / paradigm shifting / enlightening. It’s from 2005 – and timelessly and timely relevant, esp. the central piece about the ‘Pain Body’, and how to become free from it.

* Where do your swampy roots show up, these days?
* Can you ‘sit’ with it all, open to the light of consciousness?
* Can you dwell in the Buddha hub of calm – within the tension between enjoyment and pain?
* Hold (fixed energy of SCO – TAU) as much spiritual energy as possible. And allow yourself to be held by it.
The Wesak Full Moon is a magnificent divine and meditative moment-in-time, when transformation (SCO) can be anchored (TAU).
Our attachment to desires and longing for what we want and don’t have, or ‘even’ to pain / suffering / complaining / to feeding those ‘hungry ghosts’ (TAU – SCO) that show up in obvious or subtle personal and collective / cultural addictions and compulsions (more consumption, information, work, entertainment, F.O.M.O., nothing’s ever enough, being pulled into the dark…) can be really UP and fully-ON, in these times.
Can you put these manifestationsof attachments into the bonfire of the Soul (SCO) so that the deep Alchemy can do its work?! Natural empowerment via intrinsic Soul connection comes from there.
Supported by PLUTO about to turn from direct-forward to retro on May 2: Finding Power within, and via intrinsic transformation.
Truth on all levels is being revealed through the process. Esp. as the MOON will move from SCO over the ‘Phoenix Point’ into SAG, on Apr 25 (exact at 6:37 pm PDT). That’s also the day when MERCURY goes from retro to direct again!
The days after the Wesak Moon are considered ‘Days of Distribution’ of the Buddha Blessings – very apropos SAG MOON also.

Yet: Real Freedom is unconditional Freedom. Or, as the spiritual teacher J. Krishnamurti (his Taurean human birthday is on May 12) would point out brilliantly: It’s about Freedom without an opposite (as in: from / for), since otherwise it pretends to be Freedom but isn’t the real deal.

How’zit going, in the Green Wood Dragon Year (since Feb 10), so far? JUPITER in TAURUS (May 16, 2023 – May 25, 2024) is a reflection of that energy too. May green growth returnthis year, and into the future, on this Planet. Looks like the Green Dragon will be awakened – and awakening.
Super relevant for all of us with TAUREAN SUN, MOON, AC, Nodes, or Planets (esp. JUPITER)!
URANUS has been in TAU since May 2018 (- 2026) – Wake UP, Earthlings! The Zodiac sign where it’s ‘least comfortable’ in (considered ‘in Fall’ there).
Lots of shifts and shocks and disruptions have happened since that rattled the boat of stability / comfort / security – affecting so many humans (esp. in war zones, but ‘even’ when it comes to the economy, nature – and our biology). Time to wake up to the territorial (TAU) trauma (UR) – that’s been going on for so long.
The JUPITER contact is also one of the highlights in URANUS’s journey through TAU – enhancing its themes – only to understand better, and even outgrow what has been traumatic.
JUPITER rules SAG, URANUS rules AQ! So – ‘even’ if you have nothing in TAU where they come together but some energies in SAG / AQ you’d feel the effect! Think: BIG Surprises. Expect the Unexpected. Free as can BE.
JUPITER – URANUS: Cycles and Historic Context
After the Total Solar Eclipse on Apr 8, the next major cosmic event of this most intense month of the year is coming up, on Apr 20: The conjunction of JUPITER & URANUS in TAURUS.
These two Planetary Archetypes align only every 13 – 14 years – opening a new cultural-societal cycle of growth (JU) through disruption / paradigm shifts / innovation (UR).
Their last alignment was in 2010 / 2011 on the PI / ARIES cusp – the Spring Equinox / ‘Emergence Point’ where everything starts.
That alignment heralded the fading of an old, and emergence / birth of a New Era altogether – which has become even more obvious in the last years.
Interestingly, in 2025 / 26, SATURN & NEPTUNE will align on that very crucial Zodiac cusp – a pointer to the end of the PISCES Age. And (together w. PLUTO then fully in AQ) to the beginning of the AQ Age – although the process is a gradual transition, of course.
Another striking factor: The degree of this year’s JUPITER – URANUS alignment at 21°49′ TAU is just 1° away from the alignment of JUPITER & SATURN on May 28, 2000 – which opened a (rather conservative) 20-year socio-political-economic cycle that lasted until the recent alignment at 1º AQ on Winter SoUlstice (Dec 21) 2020 – A New Era for Our Shared Humanity. The point where this year PLUTO sits(!) – and yes, ruled by URANUS.
Indicators for the shift from the solid, earthy, grounded, ‘owning’ oriented phase into a new, systems, innovation, and ‘sharing’ oriented (AQ) era.
Its shadow being technocracy, transhumanism, post-humanism (don’t ‘share’ / give away your identity / spirit / soul / humanity!). Hence, the PLUTO shift also evokes / calls forth The Power of Our Shared Humanity, in an Era of Deep Change.
You might wonder: When did JUPITER & URANUS align the last time in TAU?
URANUS was the last time in TAU March 1935 – May 1942. JUPITER was in those years in TAU May 1949 – May 1941, meeting URANUS in May 1941. Right in the middle of WWII.
In Vietnam, the Viet Minh was formed to overthrow French rule of the nation, as an alliance between the Indochina Communist party, led by Ho Chi Minh, and the Nationalist party. It became the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War.
Both Planetary Archetypes have to do with Freedom.
JUPITER with freedom as value & virtue: Freedom to expand, grow, move, follow one’s truth, seize opportunities encompass more in life. The freedom that comes from understanding / seeing the bigger picture.
URANUS with breaking free: Liberation, waking up / awakening, breakthroughs, independence, paradigm shifts, revolution, sudden ‘cutting of chords’, setting yourself (or being set) free: “I’m out of here!”
The fusion of the two can be about Awakening into Truth & Freedom.
Which can lead to transcending the notions of ‘freedom from’ and ‘freedom to / for’ to living in unconditional Freedom. Spiritual teacher Krishnamurti would call it ‘Freedom that has no opposite’.
In the meantime, on a practical, TAUREAN level, we not-quite enlightened ones can tune into & align with the following JU – UR effects:
* Breaking sticky habits/ attachments that ‘seem’ convenient, rewarding / enjoyable but prevent our true freedom. Toss what doesn’t bring you JOY. It starts with the mind (says also MERCURY currently retro).
* Waking up to the beauty & abundance of the Earth, and of this Life!
* Anchoring the Light / Higher Frequencies&New Earth Consciousness.
* Planting Seeds of our Unique Gifts,at this critical time.
* Technology and its Morality (or ‘detached’ lack thereof) Not all that IS possible nowadays SHOULD be done. The genie comes out of the bottle; the ‘Magician’s Apprentice can’t control the forces s/he invokes / experiments with.
* Even more disruption of biology through technology (think: bio-digital convergence) – why letting technology mess with nature?
* Hyper-erratic effects in economy and Nature – what are the causes? Paradigm shifts through enhanced understanding can happen, with JU – UR.
* Opportunities through crypto-currencies Yes, TAU rules the monetary system, or rather: value. Disruptions (UR) can bring opportunities (JU).
* Promotion of digital currency models (CBDC) What do We the People (AQ) do about this proposition / covert implementation(!)?
* Epiphanies about / celebrating the ingenuity of Nature / biology!
Cosmic Picture of the Alignment
Here is the ‘Cosmic Map’ of the exact alignment On Apr 20 at 7:27 pm PDT.
As you can see, besides the JU – UR conjunction, there are more fused / concentrated energies – all between PI and TAU:
In PISCES: SATURN – MARS – NEPTUNE Draining / drowning, overwhelming energy that seems to go in circles, and might make one feel lost or want to escape / disappear. How about channeling the energy into dance and music?! Going with the flow, ‘intentionally’ doing nothing? And: Acting on spiritual teachings.
In ARIES: The North Node, MERCURY retro, VENUS, and CHIRON The incentive to show up for / as oneself, with one’s authenticity and boldness – which can heal old / early wounds, and: the wounds of war.
In TAURUS: The SUN (enters TAU on the day before the alignment, Apr 19), and JUPITER / URANUS Consciously emBody Joy, Truth, and Freedom. Experiment, and be surprised / surprise ‘your world’.
Again, as in recent charts, the planetary pattern is still a ‘wedge’: Most Planets concentrated within 90 degrees of the Zodiac. Extending to LILITH & the (void) MOON end of VIR – like a handle of a ‘bucket’: It’s all practice – to be in alignment with our cosmic assignment…

In the PISCEAN realm we may feel overwhelmed by the chaos of ‘troubled waters’ that connect us all. Here, the challenge (SATURN) is to stay spiritually connected, surrender (NEPTUNE) one’s ego-wants (MARS) and have faith-beyond-hope. Que sera sera. Different from giving up.
How do we face (AR) a crisis? Processing the Apr 8 TSE with CHIRON – an Eclipse of war escalation. Wounds of confrontation and violence SO need to heal. Where did / how does it start? Where do we start the healing (AR)? Time to show up authentically, be in the moment, start NEW (rather than repressing and shutting down our truth – or: lashing out).
TAU shows manifestations of the energy (PI) and spirit / actions (AR). Which can appear like a reward, even ‘miracle’ / surprise / synchronicity. We did our part to show up for it, surrendered, in expectation-free ways.

1) Be mindful, and lead from what’s here-now
There’s a tendency for the mind to be distracted and all over the place, to loose and misplace things & thoughts that later have to be RE-trieved again, in your ‘inner house’. Avoid getting scattered and disorganized, collect the mind ‘pieces’, be present with any situation & function ‘at hand’, and be present (ARIES). The apparent priority of urgent ‘little’ things & ‘small stuff’ can easily be a distraction and waste of energy.
Practice coming back to the Here-NOW.
2) Retro is an inwards / backwards oriented energy
M-r is a good time to RE-treat, and RE-connect with meditation and mindfulness. Also an excellent chance (if not necessity) to deal with ‘old unfinished business’, ‘loose ends’, and to clear communication themes from the past, often carried over from a previous M-r times (Aug / Sept and Dec 2023).
3) Every M-r phase is a great time for basically everything that starts with ‘RE-‘, esp. RE-sidual communication
Like: RE-assess, RE-align, REad, Re-search, RE-treat, RE-pair, RE-boot, RE-group, RE-consider, RE-arrange, RE-place, you name it…
One RE-ason for me pointing out all these RE-activities: During M-r (which also has a karmic undertone), we less likely get away anymore with being sloppy, and with procrastinating or neglecting RE-sidual communication issues with people from the past. They come up like a mirror. Talk about what RE-ally matters, esp. with friends and loved ones.
What do you think about – and want to (re?)discuss, esp. re: “How it started”, beginnings, starting something new, fresh approaches and also: wars, where they start, and what can heal the terrible wounds they bring (all apropos ARIES – and CHIRON there)?
4) Choose the clearest & most direct mode of communication available
Phone rather than messaging / emailing. Meet and connect in person or at least via video call rather than via phone / text, to make sure an actual dialogue happens and you can face (ARIES) the other person (rather than just your factual monologue in your own head, with the assumption you know what they think, or they know what you think).
Consider communicating in several ways & via different media, to make sure the message comes across. Re-member people’s minds can be all over the place now.
To the effect that ‘communication’ might be… ~ Scattered / incomplete / jumping from topic to topic without hearing each other out (can be very ARIES). ~ Prone to assumptions: “I thought you got my email!!!” ~ Actually an ‘externalized inner monologue’ – so you might wonder / need to ask them: “Are you just thinking out loud as you talk, or are you actually suggesting something to me?”
5) Be mindful & compassionate in your communication with others
Compassionately put yourself in their position, and address issues directly, rather than getting mad at ‘them’ (possibly based on a lack / deficiency / incompleteness of communication) – so ARIES.
6) Be clear and precise with commitments & agreements
Double-check whether you’ve been understood correctly, and RE-peat / RE-phrase back to them too. Eclipse Saros Cycles March 29, 2006, anyone?
Did you know that Eclipses come in cycles (known as Saros Cycles), and repeat in the same sign combination every 18 – 19 years (which relates to the 18½ year Nodal cycle)?

Let’s explore with the Astro lens Eclipse effects for the U.S. and Canada’s charts and societies – in the 2024 (U.S.) / 2025 (Canada) election years.
The U.S. and the ‘American’ Total Solar Eclipse
Here’s the U.S. chart from July 4, 1776. What strikes most:
Its CHIRON at 20º09 AR in the country’s 4th House is amost to the degree identical with the current CHIRON – Ever so catalyzed by the Eclipse (at 19º24 AR).
I.o.w., the U.S. have this year and month their5th CHIRON Return (every approx. 50 y.), in its 248-year history.
Together with its PLUTO Return (every 248 y.), once more activated this Sept to mid-Nov(!) when PLUTO has its last ‘unfinished business’ at the very end of CAP to do, before going for the next 20 y. into AQ.
The CHIRON in ARIES activation brings up Wounds of War. The U.S. have been a country at war. At ‘home’: Wars on First Nations, and Civil War (literally 4th House). And involved in so many wars abroad!
That CHIRON position – in wide square w. the SUN in CANCER shows: Wars wound the country, the people, the families – in the U.S. and in the Human Family.
There have so much with the verbal / political / media wars over the last years, and now have gone to another level, by the wars in Ukraine and in Gaza. This must end, and not escalate.
The U.S. CHIRON Return, linked to the ‘American Eclipse’, asks:
* Where do wars begin (ARIES)?
* Where / how did the current U.S. internal and external wars begin? MERCURY now retro in ARIES touches CHIRON 3 times. This can help with conversations / information re: ‘Back to the Beginnings’.
* Why is conflict and division so prominent in the U.S.?
* What can MARS (Ruler of ARIES) in its 7th House in GEM – in sextile w. CHIRON – tell us about this? Anger is vehemently voiced in the States… Verbal debates can lead to violent actions….
What’s the ‘Medicine’ / Teaching of the U.S. CHIRON in ARIES? I.o.w., what can heal the Wounds of War in / coming from the U.S.? CHIRON has us look for the intrinsic ARIES ‘Medicine’ (rather than simply jumping to: Peace).
Authenticity, Courage (with MERCURY, now retro) to speak up and educate / inform about the ‘War Machine’ etc., and esp.: A whole new approach (ARIES).
Eclipse Year Election Candidates
Two contenders for the presidential position were born under a LUNAR Eclipse! While the ARIES Eclipse affects them both – in different ways.
Did you know?
Donald Trump was born on June 14, 1946 – the DAY of a Total Lunar ‘Release’ Eclipse in SAG – GEM (just 3 1/2 hrs before totality!).
Here’s his chart that shows the SAG / GEMINI Polarity, with MOON / SN in SAG and SUN / URANUS / NN in GEM.
The Eclipse w. CHIRON falls on Trump’s 8th / 9th House cusp (he doesn’t have anything in ARIES – but a strong rising MARS).
Where it’s about Power / Change (8th) and Politics (9th). Is he able to help heal the ‘Wounds of War’? Or will / would he inflict more?
The Eclipse w. CHIRON opposes Trump’s CHIRON / JUPITER in LIBRA on his 2nd / 3rd House cusp – where it’s about communicating his values through negotiation / strategy. Is he ‘good at that’, or ‘very wounded / wounding’? Or both?
And here’s Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s chart. His birth time isn’t known / not publicly accessible. So I set up his chart for 12 noon.
RFK Jr was born on Jan 17, 1954 – the DAY before a Total Lunar ‘Release’ Eclipse in CAN – CAP.
In the article from last month, Public Players 2024: Robert F. Kennedy Jr., I discussed his chart in detail – as well as his transits for this year, and his connection with the U.S. (esp. PLUTO).
I can’t say which House the ARIES Eclipse w. CHIRON falls into for RFK Jr since we don’t have his birth time. However what’s clear is that the Eclipse is in wide cardinal T-square w. his own pre-ecliptic MOON / SN / URANUS in CAN, and his stellium w. NN / CHIRON / VENUS / SUN / MERCURY in CAP. Now, that’s a massive activation.
For what? Maybe to pick up the torch of legacy from his ancestors (CAP), and help lead the country (CAN) out of wars & corruption (PLUTO) and into a new fresh start (AR)?
Also noteworthy: Both candidates have strong transits from JUPITER round election time.
By then, JUPITER will be in GEM (from May 25 on) – approaching RFK Jr’s JUPITER (a Return) – exact in Aug / Nov 2024 and Apr 2025, and Trump’s URANUS / NN / SUN – exact Aug – Nov 2024 and Apr 2025.
JUPITER in GEM will also activate and emphasize the U.S. MARS – stationary-exact in Sept / Oct 2024, and again in Apr / May 2025. May heated debates lead to truth & understanding.
Both candidates are already stirring the pot, and would bring ARIES type new approaches (to put it neutrally) to the current status-quo – yet likely also lots of controversy (ARIES / U.S. MARS in GEM, activated by both of them, and by JUPITER soon).
Canada and the ‘American’ Total Solar Eclipse
CHIRON in AR has been in 2022 – 2024 close to the AC & NEPTUNE at 15 / 16° ARof Canada’s Federation chart of 1867 – first time in 50 years – and started a new cycle through Canada’s chart.
Lots of old / original wounds have emerged that go back to / mirror the country’s coming into being.
No reconciliation without truth – on so many levels!
Time for healing and for a new beginning!
While new colonization methods & trends have emerged, and are going on, in changed format: Decimation of Old Growth forests, fracking, and other unsustainable ways of mis-management of ‘natural resources’.
Assaults (ARIES wound) on nature – and on culture, via gentrification / unaffordability / cost of living crisis – have brought many Canadians into survival mode– and onto the streets, protesting.
More controversy / division / anger permeates the country now than in a long time – maybe: than ever? Many Canadians have woken up from the NEPTUNian slumber into asserting their needs & rights.
A new approach (AR) is needed. The TSE falls into Canada’s 1st House of the Country’s Identity. Canada, Renew Yourself, and BE Yourself!
Justin Trudeau’s MOON & CHIRON are in ARIES in his 8th House – which the Eclipse w. CHIRON will be super close to.
In the years since 2019 – 2025, he’s had massive CHIRON Transits (C. on his MARS, C. Return, C. on his MOON, and opp. his PLUTO, URANUS / LILITH in LIBRA).
Wounds of being provocative / easily provoked / angered / aggressive, while trying to be controlled, composed, and not explode.
Early / childhood wounds in relation to his mom / family (MOON)? His relationship with his wife as with his country (MOON) went through upheavals – separation from Sophie occurred, and his political popularity has plummeted
The Eclipse affects him strongly. Effects might not be immediate, and roll out in the months to come.

Let’s (finally) take a look at the ‘Birth Chart’ of the

The ARIES NEW MOON will be at 11:21 am PDT.
The maximum Eclipse at 11:29 am PDT, as noted on the chart. If skies are clear, we’ll be able here in Victoria to see only about 20% of the SUN disk occulted by the MOON, and the Eclipse phase takes 1 hr 38 min, from 10:41 am to 12:19 pm PDT.
What a strong gravitation in the PI – AR – TAU Field! The ARIES Eclipse w. CHIRON ‘pulls it together’.
TheTotal Solar Eclipse catalyzes what’s going on in the Astro sphere, much more than ‘regular’ New Moons & Full Moons.
Still / again (as in the last weeks), most Planets are all in one ‘corner’ of the Zodiac, between mid-PI to mid-TAU, with only PLUTO in early AQ and LILITH in late VIR ‘standing by’.
A ‘Wedge’ configuration – with highly concentrated themes:
Endings which can come with chaos (PISCES) Fresh Beginnings / New Approaches – which can come with conflict (ARIES) Stability – which is currently very unpredictable (TAU, w. JUPITER – URANUS).
MARS, the ruling Planet of ARIES, is currently ‘back’ in PI. It’ll meet & pass SATURN (every 2 years) 2 days after the Eclipse, on Apr 10 – helping us to assume courage to go with the flow of life & its rhythms, beyond challenges of overwhelm andfear of ‘going under’.
Quite the ‘packed’ ARIES energy field,firing up the Eclipse: VENUS, North Node, CHIRON, SUN, MOON, MERCURY retro.
SO much division and warfare, on so many fronts / battlegrounds. Separation and warfare on all levels has been traumatizing in itself, and re-traumatizing early wounds of the battle for life (in relation to early human history, and to early childhood / separation from mom).
Healing these early wounds is important – and urgent, at our time.
MERCURY, since Apr 1 retro in ARIEScan help re-address & understand ‘how it all began’, the ‘wounds of war’, and: of being ‘all alone in this’ (all ARIES themes). Awakening (shocking? liberating?) paradigm shifts are on now, as URANUS in TAU (2018 / 19 – 2026), pushes us to EmBody Freedom, while grounding the Light.

MERCURY now retro in ARIES activates (dwarf planet) ERIS who’s currently round 25° AR (in AR 1922 – 2040!) – hence ERIS is also part of the Eclipse!
TheERIS Archetype – Greek goddess of discord & strife (and sister of MARS / ARES) – seeds disruption and separation, is vengeful and confrontational, because she’s excluded / not welcome at the table / not invited to the ‘ceremony’.
So much conflict & strife has been triggered / found outlets these last years with PLUTO end of CAP squaring ERIS…
MERCURY retro can help us step away from the strive and competition oriented mind – that always begets further conflict, outer and / or inner.
Mindfulness can help us becoming aware of, and witnessing the ever so active – and striving – mind, rather than being captured by it (and much more easily influenced / manipulated and hijacked ‘on the outer level’).

The count-down is ON, for MERCURY retro in ARIES – in the intense and ‘packed’ ASTRO month of APRIL, and I bet you’ve already noticed ‘early symptoms’ in the pre-retro ‘storm’ (which started on March 21).

Here’s another boost of M-r intel. It’s good to be aware of the M-r sequence, with its characteristic phases / itinerary, to be in alignment with the Retro Journey. And I have a few more helpful timeless & timely re-minders for you.

The first half of M-r (phases 1. – 4.) is the Epimethean phase. RE-minding us of ‘old stories’ – which doesn’t have to be a ‘bad thing’ to overcome, it can be an important RE-flection / correction inducer…
The second half of M-r (phases 4. – 8.) is the Promethean phase. New insights and connection with Spirit & Consciousness can lead to new inspired direction – a very auspicious time.
MERCURY went into so-called pre-retro ‘shadow’ on March 19 (it passed for the first time the Zodiac point (15°59′ AR) from which it will after the retro phase go direct / forward again, on Apr 25). Noticed ‘foreshadowing’ of themes that might come up during M-r ?
A good time to be fluid as quicksilver, RE-spond to higher intelligence, and trust the ‘messenger from the future’, via intuition & precognition.
Perhaps you already had inspired conversations with friends / in groups, about ARIES themes (Beginnings, Initiative, Boldness, Assertion, War…)to get your thoughts going.
MERCURY Retro in the Starters
On March 21, MERCURY entered its stationary ‘storm’ period (moving very slowly), i.o.w., went into ‘U-turn’ mode, in mid-to-late AR.
A time to also slow down the ‘usual’ fast & busy ‘Monkey Mind” (esp. in ARIES) that likes to multi talk / interrupt, andjump from one point of attention to the next.
‘Normal’ communication affairs might have started to become ‘tricky’, ‘chaotic’, ‘complicated’, ‘messed up’… But only from the perspective of the ego that likes to take control, via the mind.Yet also, synchronicities and magic might have kicked in…
MERCURY in ‘zigzag mode’ suggests being super adaptable, in flux & at ease, while swiftly, swimmingly / surfingly, changing course as necessary. It can lead to a more auspicious outcome than quick assumptions by the reactive mind.

In the actual RETRO PHASE, from Apr 1 – 25, the mind is geared to turn inward-backward, and mental moves may be paradoxical, like in a labyrinth.
Or ‘far out’ / eccentric thoughts kick in that also need to be in-tegrated.
As always, the MERCURY retro cycle starts with the ‘Epimethean’ phase (first half – until Apr 11), where old epic stories, memories, and patterns show up for REasons yet unknown, REvealing themselves in the journey.
With the ARIES energy of the current M-r, it’s good to gnotice (rather than: be!) the all-too quick and ‘jumpy’ mind – in a world of pervasive ADD – which can lead to information / impulse overload without anything ‘sticking’ substantially. And to gain space from it.
Don’t believe everything you (or: they!) think. Check where ‘your’ thoughts may come from, and why you identify with them! Experiment with discussing with others, turn to other sources, for a more balanced view.
Verify your thoughts & ideas in the ‘real tangible world’ with its practical implications. Invite unexpected insights, a world of synchronicities, and:
Be open for new understanding, via / of hidden and overlooked info that gets our attention now, for a (or no) RE-ason.
At the half-way point of the M-r phase (on Apr 11, this time), MERCURY in ARIES crosses paths with the SUN: A new ‘New Mercury’ (like a New Moon – the monthly SUN – MOON conj.) is born – which happens 3 times a year.
On the ‘New Mercury’ point, it’s time to REgenerate the mind MERCURY), to become more conscious, follow Spirit & the Heart (SUN).
Just 3 days prior, Apr 8, the Total SOLAR ‘Seed’ Eclipse (exact New Moon) in ARIES, with CHIRON will occur– a massive boost for renewal.
Let’s see what Epiphanies THIS ‘Point of Enlightened Insight’ (post-Eclipse!) will reveal!

The second half of M-r (Apr 11 – 25) is the ‘Promethean’ phase… …where new insights & new Consciousness can be more easily carried forward & expressed, in creative & innovative ways.
Once again, so cool that another major Astro event is aligned with that part of the sequence, this time! On Apr 20, JUPITER in TAU will meet and pass URANUS (every 13 – 14 years only). The Planet associated with the Promethean Archetype will be a BIG emphasis. Surprises, shocks, quantum leaps, paradigm shifts will be ON, esp. in the Taurean fields of Nature, body / biology, economy, money… while we can understand and outgrow the disruptions of the last years (since 2018 / 19) with URANUS in TAU. It’s also a time to invite / invoke miracles!!!
Timeless & Timely MERCURY Retro REminders
Under M-r, ‘usual’ thinking and communication patterns are being questioned, and it appears at times as if there was a trickster / little devil at play.
Actually, we have a chance now to SEE the inner mental trickster / saboteur that’s been there all along, camouflaging & going unnoticed. Can you use ‘weird’ / hilarious scenarios asteachings?
The challenge is, not to get frustrated when things don’t turn out the way YOU thought they ’should’, according to the ego mind.
During M-r, experiment with, practice, and hopefully also integrate for later, going with the flow, in an intuitive, heart sourcedway.
Feel free to change your mind, and disengage (which can go fast, says ARIES) when you get the impulse / signal / intuition for an alternative course that works better, and is more aligned.
Yet don’t let the mind run the show, and create more ‘mental karma’.
Be open to and curious about ‘creative detours’ that might lead to unexpected turns, and unusual connections, rather than going with comfort / routine / habits of your ‘Inner Muggle’.
Rather than getting wrapped up with linear, habitual, and often self-limiting ways of dealing with information / communication channels & modes, a new, ‘unorthodox’ approach, and maybe a little / random connection with someone, can open up for serendipity, synchronicities, and magic. Be spontaneous, says ARIES.
Let’s mischievously ask ourselves (M-r):
* How can I get out of the busy conditioned & controller mind now, and shift to Openness for Change, Creativity, and Play?
* What would my Inner Magician / Wizard / Alchemist (yes, that’s what Mercury also is) suggest?
* Where’s the comic (and cosmic) relief in all this…?

Let’s stay as mobile (like quicksilver, the MERCURY metal), adaptable, and unattached to ‘plans’ / agendaas possible.
MERCURY is a very light, youthful, fresh, fun-loving punster / Coyote / prankster energy.
It looks at the fun and also meaningful side of unusual twists & turns, and even likes to provoke those. Tuning into that less serious mode makes us happier and more at ease.
Come on board with these spontaneous twists, unintentional new-found puns, and creative fun realizations! While being mindfully present & clear.
Laughing at ourselves (very ARIES) is certainly part of the picture. Best kind of humour.
We sure need more comic relief of all the seriousness these days / months / years(!).
What happened to satire? There’s a cool word in German: Realsatire. Meaning, reality provides lots of satire in itself.
M-r is about the meta level (not so much about the content of the mind and its expressions, but the nature of the mind, how and why we think and communicate). Noticing how the mind is playing tricks on us all the time, but can be in times like these hopefully more easily busted – esp. in comic relief ways – with ego alert, ha-ha! Great time for satire and comedy it is – and ‘real life s & c’!
When it comes to committing to something long-term – pls consider that it might not be ready to be definite yet.
Yet you can make a choice to be in a vibration that attracts the match that you easily recognize & connect with.
Spiraling Time OUT!
Give yourself time. During M-r, new information streams in, which can alter our outlook on things.
Often, after the M-r phase, we have more information – which gives a different picture, based upon which a good avenue forward becomes clear.
If we did commit prematurely (hmmm, ARIES) and aren’t flexible to back off again easily, we might say, “Oh, if I only had known… I wouldn’t have changed course… and didn’t have to untangle complications.”
As always with MERCURY retro, clarify / specify communication whenever possible:
* Say things several times,in different ways / even in a different language to make sure there’s no misunderstanding in a fast / distracted context – in our oh-so ADHD world (esp. with ARIES).
* Talk in a way that’s not just a judgment / statement, but offers invitations for open discussion, and be present and genuinely curious & helpful (if you are!), rather than distracted (Mercurial shadow).
* Ask questionsthat instinctively / intuitively come up (esp. to clarify otherwise held assumptions!).
* Choose the most direct (so ARIES too) medium & tool available (meet and connectin person, or at least via online video), which helps with clearer & more holistic communication, mimic, body signals.
More ‘channels’ are involved & signals are conveyed, by being face-to-face (ARIES) with the other person, rather rather than on the phone, or via mutual messaging / e-monologue – so ‘standardized’ & ‘normalized’ in the electronic age, and an even bigger deal since 2020.
M-r gives us the chance to take a break from the virtual world. Let’smake sure we SEE each other! And who knows what else might come up and be addressed when you take the opportunity to actually meet & talk?!
Are you a slave to technocracy (domination by technology) / techno-crazy?
If you become mercurially frustrated, maybe it’s because you needed to learn something about the nature of the human mind and its extensions:
Technological equipment which now, more and in different ways than already, seems to have ‘a mind of their own’…
You don’t want to become (well, maybe now you see how much you could be) a stressed-out remotely controlled slave of coordination & communication, and of the technology that should(!) be here to serve us (which interests does it actually serve most?).
Computers, phones, and tech gadgets are / should be treated as ‘just’ tools. Their efficiency also depends on & responds to the (hopefully relaxed & detached, savvy & inventive) mind of their ‘master’.
Have you noticed? The technical equipment can magically-morphically mirror the state of mind WE’re in, even ‘simply’ by breaking down and being ‘on strike’ when we humans need ‘a break’ anyway?
Give your tools and tasks proper mindful and focused attention & care, one at a time, instead of attempting to multi task and ‘efficiently’ orchestrate everything simultaneously.
To keep the interface between the electromagnetic field of computers & the human mind smoothly operational, don’t impose any potential extra stress onto your nervous system – nor on your computer.
And how about: Turn the AI network off, and your natural inner intelligence (NI) on.
Take note & respect signals showing you that you need to be relaxed & mindful. Assume nothing, and drop your (under M-r evident, otherwise under the radar) expectations & assumptions.
Under M-r, talk to people from the past who come to mind, and whom you haven’t heard from in a long time.
And to ‘new’ yet familiar like-spirited people whom you’ve just met & intuitively ‘clicked with’.
M-r also tends to bring back unfinished communication business from the past, esp. from previous M-r phases (last one in December 2023).
What also happens quite often under M-r:

Welcoming the pre-Easter / Paschal Full Moon – the first Spring Full Moon of 2024!
Celtic Wheel of the Year, w. Turning Points of the Equinoxes (Spring – OSTARA / Fall – Mabon) as well as Solstices, and Cross-Quarter Days
Easter is the only Christian holiday that is Solunar based – the first Sunday after the 1st Full Moon in Spring (tomorrow’s Eclipse) marks Easter Sunday (March 31).
Likely, the name Easter is hijacked / derived from Ostara. It’s also connected with the Jewish Passover.
With the arrival of Spring and ARIES, a boost of fresh energy and a spirit of authenticity emerges.
The March Full Moon is also known as the ‘Worm Moon’ / ‘Sugar Moon’, and has many other connotations, based on indigenous traditions – the Almanach has collected a list of those.
The Big Deal, astrologically
She’s a penumbral Lunar Eclipse (PLE). Not a (more spectacular) Total one, since the FM and the Lunar Node aren’t close enough for the Earth shadow to occult the Moon fully.
Yet, Her effects will be nevertheless powerful, due to other factors…
The TSE path of totality will go over Mexico, Texas, and the U.S. and Canadian East Coast with both countries’ capitals affected.
Eclipses 101
> Eclipses occur when aNEW MOON or a FULL MOONisclose to the Nodal Axis, which is presently (July 2023 – Jan 2025) in LI – AR.
> Eclipse pairs – an Eclipse New Moon (Solar) and an Eclipse Full Moon (Lunar) – come twice a year.
This year, Spring Eclipse Season: March 23: Penumbral Lunar in LI – AR Apr 8: Total Solar in AR
And – even almost 3 in a row – in early Fall: Sept 17: Penumbral Lunar in late PI – VIR Oct 2: Annular ‘Ring of Fire’ Solar in LI Oct 17: Almost Partial Lunar in late AR – LI
> The closer to the Nodes the more likely a Total Eclipse. The Full Moon on March 25 will be at 05°07′ LI, and the South Node at 16°24′ LI – not close enough for a TLE, but for a Penumbral LE. The Sun of the New Moon on Apr 8 will be at 19°23′ AR, and the North Node at 15°38′ AR – very close, and a Total Solar Eclipse!
> Eclipses are either connected with the South Node (SN) of the Moon = emphasis on release. I call those ‘Release Eclipses’. Or with the Lunar North Node (NN) = emphasis on new beginnings. I call those ‘Seed Eclipses’. This is esp. important for Solar Eclipses (exact New Moons)!
The Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in LIBRA on March 25 catalyzes the South Node in LI (Release Eclipse). The Total Solar Eclipse in AR on Apr 8 catalyzes the North Node in AR (Seed Eclipse).
> Eclipses are at the same Zodiac position every 18 – 19 years – a karmic ‘string’: OnMarch 29, 2006, there was a NN Total Solar Eclipse in AR. What began for you at that time? Esp. if you have ARIES Sun / Moon / AC / Planets / Nodes (check out the ARIES House in your chart). And how does it come up again now (with the NN TSE in AR on Apr 8)?
> The effect of the Eclipses extends beyond ‘just’ a lunar monthly phase, to rather 2 – 3 months, and there’s a chain of themes from Eclipse ‘season’ (last one in Oct 2023) to Eclipse ‘season’ (March / Apr 2024 and Sept / Oct 2024).
> Eclipses are a RE-set, like rebooting your computer, after a temporary turning off of the energy. I.o.w., a RE-generation of YIN-Feminine (Lunar Eclipse), and of the YANG-Masculine (Solar Eclipse) energies, after a ‘darkening’.
The PLE in LIBRA – ARIES
It’s an ECLIPSE of the MOON, by the Earth Shadow. Which causes the temporary lunar darkening – the umbra (= shadow), out of which the MOON re-emerges.
In this case, the MOON’s position isn’t in the exact / ‘inner’ umbra but in the penumbra – hence Penumbral Lunar Eclipse.
The point of Fullness, opposite the early ARIES SUN, will be on March 25 exactly at midnight(!) 12:00 am PDT / maximum Eclipse at 12:12 am PDT.
The South Node / ‘Release’ Eclipse will be most prominent over the Americas & Greenland – linking with the upcoming Total Solar ‘Seed’ Eclipse (‘American Eclipse’) over parts of the same geography.

The doubly-balance oriented LIBRA FM shows what’s out of balance, what’s needed to re-balance our lives, and who / what is and isn’t compatible with our authentic Self (ARIES). Of course, that’s most relevant in relationships, yet for all significant decisions & ‘pairings’.
Choices that lead to a downward spiral, and drain our energy (LIBRA South Node Eclipse) need to be watched for (actually: become more obvious), and disengaged from. Foremost: Choose (from) your authentic Self!
This Lunar Release Eclipse Full MOON picks up the ASE themes, shows more of these to be released patterns.
Balance / Relatedness / Harmony / Compatibility / Culture / Peace, and Negotiations / Choices are the LIBRAN themes to examine / that are being ‘light switched’ by the Eclipse.
Have you been in a (low grade LIBRAn) situation of compensating for ‘their’ (esp. selfish, or even aggressive / violent – low grade ARIES) attitude / bahaviour to ‘keep the peace’, thereby compromising your authentic Self? Time to give up that ‘arrangement’!
The ARIES North Node (and SO much more in ARIES now, brought out fully by the TSE on Apr 8) gives us a kick to be bold / courageous, start fresh, be ourselves (again / for the first time). Full-on Spring energy.
Why are we in relationship, and with whom?
Where to begin? And how to keep this topic short (ARIES, lol)…?
LIBRA, and PLUTO, now in the early = LIBRAn part of AQ, in Air trine w. the MOON, ask:
* What might be the inner Soul Contract?
* Would we be / are we Friends (AQ)?!
* What does our relationship contribute to the Evolution of Humanity (AQ)?!
And then, there are these classic LIBRAn themes:
* “Like and like attract.” We’re attracted to what / who carries a similar vibration.
* “Opposites attract.” Polarities find each other, to ‘work things out’. Often this has to do with ‘mirroring effects ‘ and shadow projection. It’s typically not obvious up-front, in the ‘attraction phase’ (otherwise the parties wouldn’t have engaged with each other).
* We’re also attracted to what we fight for / whom we fight with (AR). More shadow projection? Food for ego (MARS)? Catalysts to be more authentic and brave? An important cause to ‘heroically’ embark on (AR), together (LI)?
* Maybe you can check all 3 factors for your relationships in question – then there’s definitely a lot UP with the Eclipse – and in this LIBRA – ARIES ‘Karmic Pathway’ Nodal Phase.
ARIES – LIBRA: War & Peace

Indeed: Warrior God MARS rules ARIES. Love Goddess VENUS rules LIBRA.
Yet, it’s not as simple as ‘switching’ from War to Peace. CHIRON in AR (2029 – 2027) says, we need to heal the wounds of war, AND find the Medicine of ARIES = Authentic Warrior Spirit.
Quite literally: It’s brave nowadays to stand up for Peace(!).
Early ‘warfare’ / violence / survival wounds (for us personally, in our earlier, even early childhood years, and wounds of earlier stages in humanity) come up for healing.
Healing can also happen when we bravely step forward & show up authentically in the New, says CHIRON in AR, enhanced by the North Node this year (their union was on March 5), again brought out with this Eclipse.
We need a new approach to authentic Peace (MOON in LIBRA / SUN in AR) – to start healing the massive wounds and trauma of warfare (CHIRON in AR), on so many battlegrounds nowadays / -years.
What’s the origin of war? What heals war?!
The immense trauma needs to end, for People, Families, Children (the MOON) who bear the consequences of top-down strategic wars that primarily serve the Military-Industrial Complex. Who are loosing loved ones to the atrocities, and fighting for survival (AR).
Understandably, there are calls for Justice (LIBRA), when it comes to so many atrocities that have been committed in history, and over the last years.
The Full Moon in LIBRA – ARIES brings all this, and more related themes, to awareness – for action (AR / TLE) to follow. And we need less pondering (LIBRA SN), more direct action (AR NN).

What if this Full Moon / PLE in LIBRA – contrasting (so much) ARIES can bring a massive era of warfare to a fruition?
PLUTO (almost fully) out of CAP and in its second phase in AQ (Jan 20 – Sept 1) – which has a LIBRA(!) undertone, reveals: Beyond ‘buying into’ the top-down power-over (CAP) shadow of ‘the system’ (AQ), evolutionary Power (PLUTO) is in us, The People (AQ).

Can you see the ‘Bigger Picture’?
Big juxtapositionof LIBRA (via MOON / SN) – with LILITH in VIR ‘on the side’ – and a huge concentration of ARIES (almost NEPTUNE – starting 2025 / 26 -, SUN, CHIRON, NN, MERCURY), surrounded by PI & TAU. PLUTO in early AQ is in Air trine w. the MOON.
Once again (as in several previous FMs and NMs) the – very imbalanced! – ‘Bowl’ or even ‘Wedge’ shape of Planets concentrated within 3 – 4 Zodiac signs – with the MOON (w. the SN & LILITH) being the only counter-force/s.
ThePenumbral Lunar Eclipse catalyzes what’s going on in the Astro sphere. Even more so than a ‘regular’ Full Moon.

According to a French proverb, “What is well conceived can easily be formulated.” The process of interior visualization can be quite essential, except in the case of a creative individual who has become a totally pure channel for the descent of spiritual Power, and a clear lens through which the Archetype in the Mind of Humanity (or God) can be projected without distortion, wherever needed. In other cases, the creative act is less direct: A Human Being projects into the world what s/he has ‘seen’ reflected on the screen of their individualized consciousness.
This is the first stage of the thirty-eighth five-fold sequence of symbolized phases in the process of individualized existence. It is a phase of INTERIOR FORMULATION, in preparation for a creative projection of one’s ideals or concepts.”
The inner visualization described here reminds me of the ‘mirror’ symbol of the LIBRA Archetype. The inner will be mirrored in the outer – similarly to (previous symbol) the inner Divine Light meets and honours the inner Divine Light in the ‘other’.
Interpreted as a ‘Release’ Eclipse symbol: The more we visualize scenes of war, horror, terror, dystopia, collapse, chaos… the more we collectively (and indiv. contribute to it) co-formulate them into existence – and find evidence of them in the ‘outside world’. Time to release that ‘default downfall’, with the SN Eclipse.
What do we want to co-visualize, to co-create a better future?!
Where early LIBRA is in your (birth or relocation) chart…
…that’s the area of life where release is ON, esp. when it comes to Imbalance, and inauthentic choices & visions we find mirrored in the outside world.
To make room for healing, and authenticity (the TSE in ARIES on Apr 8 will punctuate this), esp. in relationships.

What a wild world we’re in! So many shifts and changes! So much upset and division.
How can the Cosmic Weather guide us in / through the ‘storms’?!
MERCURY now in fresh & fast & furious ARIES (for a looong time, since March 9 until May 15!) where it’ll go retro re-minds us to communicate more directly – rather than in a ‘diplomatic’ or convoluted way, and also, via M-r: without intermediary / medium between us & ‘them’.
While contentious debates are firing up the atmosphere too.
Things seem to move so fast, in early Spring mode. Why wait?! Yet also, with M-r: No rush!
The (conditioned / modern) human mind always tries to ‘do something’. ARIES thoughts are at times literally in primal, survival, fighting modes. In a more inspiring way, the Mercurial ARIES vibe is SO motivated by enlivening newness & action / adventure – yet: easily bored / quite impatient, and clearly frustrated when what we thought would happen seems jeopardized / stalled.
As can happen more likely now, under M-r. Have you noticed? We’re already in pre-retro ‘storm’ (moving less than 40′ per day), since March 21!
Good to be present with what-IS.

* Whilesuspending tendencies of being so quick to react / going into attack / defend mode (so apropos the ARIES mental warrior). Being mindful of those patterns of antagonism. Being curious, asking new questions / old qu in a new way, initiating conversations just because, and because you never know where it leads!
* Can M-r in ARIES show ways out of warfare and violence? In Ukraine, Gaza, and other battlefields, collective or personal / private? By showing how ‘it all began’ – and how conflict tends to begin?
* As always with M-r, et’s encourage the cosmic & inner Messenger to re-trieve missed / lost-in-translation info & news – that may have led to unneccesarymisunderstandings – and even conflict.
* Let’s turn to (un)common sense, invite comic / cosmic relief. And invite a good sense of humour – esp: laugh at ourselves (ARIES).

Yep, obviously, these are all MERCURY retro (esp. in ARIES) ‘prescriptions’. One step at a time, and backtracking re-quired, says M-r.

It’s time for another round of ‘good Trickster Medicine’. With M-r next to CHIRON, even more so.
Let’s check the facts first:
MERCURY in late ARIES has been slowing down its speed from Earth perspective, to go into pre-retro ‘strom’ / station on March 21.
It’ll turn retro on Apr 1, in the middle of Eclipse Season (between the PLE in LI – AR on March 25, and the TSE in ARIES on Apr 8).
The retro journey until Apr 25 will be from late (27°13′) to mid (back to 15°59′) ARIES.
In ARIES, the Messenger of the Gods will be eagerly flying back & forth, RE-stimulating our thoughts and actions, while RE-orienting / RE-directing us.
I bet you’re noticing early MERCURY retro symptoms…
…maybe already since the pre-retro ‘shadow’started (M crossed the point in the Zodiac from which it’ll go direct again), on March 19 – Spring Equinox (as the SUN entered ARIES).
…and at least since the pre-retro ‘storm’ (M now in ‘U-turn’ moves very slowly – less than 40′ per day), which started this time early, since yesterday, March 21(!) and goes on for 10 days, until it goes retro on Apr 1.
I’m actually looking forward to re-discovering things from the ‘early days’ when things started (all apropos ARIES), in this M-r phase. And to picking up that spirit of adventure / stepping out into the unknown.
Also conducive to intentionally-randomly strolling, and cruising around, on our (Mercurial) bike / scooter etc, on old / new-again and not usually taken streets, this Spring. One never knows what’s around the corner, and whom one sees and (re-)connects with…

Some Tidbits for Newbies to MERCURY Retro (M-r)
Why does MERCURY even go retro?
Because of an ‘optical illusion’.
We Earthlings are looking at the planetary moves geocentrically. We’re not at the centre of the Solar System – human life as we know it happens on Planet Earth, our vantage point. Astrology is geocentric, i.e. based on our terrestrial perspective. While we’re well aware that the SUN is in the centre of the Solar System from which perspective all Planets orbit in the same direction without ‘falling back’ / ‘changing course’.
MERCURY is also an ‘inner Planet’ from Earth perspective – Closer to the SUN that Earth and orbiting it faster (88 days). VENUS has the next-closest and shortest orbit (225 days around the SUN).
Because of the terrestrial vantage point, different speeds, and the fact that the orbits aren’t exactly circular but elliptical, MERCURY (as all other Planets) appear to alternate between going quite fast, going slow, and even ‘falling back’ in the Zodiac.
MERCURY goes (yes, apparently, lol) retro 3 times a year (about every 4 months) for about three weeks. The area in the Zodiac that’s covered by the retro motion is 10 – 15 degrees. Because of that regularity, the retro phases are in each year in the same element/s.
In 2023, M-r has been occurring in the EARTH signs: Dec 29, 2022 – Jan 18, 2023 in CAP Apr 21 – May 14 in TAU Aug 23 – Sept 16 in VIR Dec 12 – Jan 1 in CAP – SAG
And for 2024, it shifts back to EARTH / FIRE: Apr 1 – 25 in ARIES Aug 4 – 28 in VIRGO – LEO Nov 25 – Dec 15 in SAG
What’s the gist of the Cosmic Weather on Earth, during MERCURY’s upcoming Retro Trip?
MERCURY retro in ARIES frames the most potent month of the year – April. And it’ll be ON during the Spring Eclipse Season.
Here are the main cosmic events during MERCURY’s retro activation in ARIES (incl. pre-retro ‘shadow’, starting on March 19):
APR 8 TSE (‘Great American Eclipse’) in ARIES, w. CHIRON & MERCURY retro
APR 21 JUPITER – URANUS conjunction in TAU
Sounds like the Mercurial Messenger will havelots of otherwise overlooked (or hidden / ‘between the lines’) messages to convey!
New important information / new dialogues are re-quired too – if things were under- or mal-communicated.Over- / mis-communication (often at the onset of M-r) needs to be re-balanced.
And it’s time to pick up conversations where they’ve been left off – maybe from the previous M-r phase (Dec 12 – Jan 1), or beyond. Sometimes, things are linked in a sequence / chain of several M-r’s!

YEP, the ‘inevitable’ is happening again: Another MERCURY Retro phase is ON!
All in ARIES, this time: From 27°15′ back to 15°59′ AR, to be precise, from Apr 1 – 25.
If you’ve read my MERCURY retro support REport (or even advocacy) over the years you know:
M-r isn’t necessarily ‘BAD’ news, as pop Astrology would have it. And hey – perhaps it’s ‘even’ an overdue & cosmically well timed de-conditioning?!
During M-r, the MIND is operating differently / ‘unusually’. And tuned-up by the ‘New MERCURY’ (what’s that?!).
Have you noticed?
Our good old messenger / trickster friend MERCURY has been already since March 19 in pre-retro ‘shadow’ (i.o.w., crossed the 15°59′ AR mark from which it will go direct again, at the end of M-r).
On March 21, MERCURY went into stationary (very slowly moving, less than 40 min.) ‘U-turn storm’.
On Apr 1, MERCURY ‘officially’ starts its seasonal retro loop, which goes technically until Apr 25, and rolls out completely (incl. post-retro ‘storm’ and ‘shadow’) until the end of TAU Season.
Hence, end of March to mid May are under M-r influence.
* Take it easy on ‘plans‘.
* Don’t get wrapped up in mental ‘loops’ based on too much random info ‘firing’ at you (AR).
* Don’t make premature conclusions, let alone take actions based on them(AR) without enough info (typically in the early part of M-r).
* Esp. with the ARIES energy (in your chart / in the ‘field’): Practice patience – and presence.
DO’s – M-r is conducive to…
* RE-viewingold phases and old patterns – what’s good about them and forgotten, and what’s re-dundant / could use improvement / re-lease. Perfect for early Spring cleaning, incl via writing & mind clearing.
* Purging outdated info& items – and finding surprisingly re-levant info ‘from the past’ (which can show where we were at mentally, at that time).
* Picking up lost & forgotten reading or writing projectswe’ve started (ARIES) and shelved for a while.
* Catching upwith people we haven’t connected with in a while (yes, take initiative!) – and being surprised by synergistic & synchronistic conversations that can lead to much more than ‘expected’. ARIES relates to young kids, athletic, brave & heroic people and warriors (who come in many expressions). So much to learn from / with them.
* A heightened time for info to leak, and communication to happen that’s usually under the radar. ARIES likes directness, and doesn’t mind confrontation.
* A good time to chill, go on a RE-treat, simply add spontaneously more RE-laxation (esp of the bizzy mind), and invite unexpected info / communication that can open your mind.
Could be also a good time to check in again astrologically. Astrology is by nature about macro-micro, and about the bigger picture for ‘stuff’ we can easily get caught up in. Just get in touch if you feel it’s calling you.

Not too many MERCURY retro loop contacts with other celestial bodies, this time(except for the triple contact w. CHIRON & the Lunar North Node).
Having said that, if M-r, esp. in its station at the beginning (end of March), and (lesser so) in the end of the retro phase ‘hooks up’ with one of your Planets or sensitive points you’ll definitely notice it.
MARCH 20 MERCURY in mid-AR meets and passes CHIRON & the NN (#1 of 3 alignments, pre-, during, and post M-r) Fighting over information? Confrontational communication that can stir up early wounds? Start with being authentic. Premonitions about more to come, to be brought up and re-solved?
MARCH 21 MERCURY goes into pre-retro ‘storm’ / stationary mode. Take it easy – things are not always what you think (in the moment). And: Even though, you might be a fast thinker, not everybody is. Great times for brain storming.
APR 1 The MERCURY retro phase starts, at 27°13′ ARIES See Sabian Symbol below.
APR 8 Total Solar Eclipse at 19°23′ AR, close to MERCURY retro (and CHIRON) Big time activation for authentic, bold speech, and new beginnings.
APR 11 MERCURY retro in AR meets the SUN / Inferior Conjunction Aka ‘New Mercury’, aka ‘Day of Enlightening Insight’ Let Spirit, Consciousness, and the Brave Heart lead, and the mind follow.
APR 15 MERCURY retro in mid- AR meets and passes CHIRON & the NN (#2 of 3 alignments, pre-, during, and post M-r) Boldly take initiative and say it as it IS. Which may be a courageus act, appear confrontational – or refreshingly authentic & revealing, and even initiate healing (finally!).
APR 19 MERCURY retro in AR meets VENUS Will you let them (or yourself?) know you love them?
APR 25 MERCURY goes direct again, at 15°59′ ARIES See Sabian Symbol below.
MAY 5 The Dark-before-New (May 7) MOON in AR meets MERCURY stat., while the post-retro ‘storm’ ends on the same day) More clarity about what the head butting was all about?
The ‘hottest’ phases are the stationary ‘U-turn storms’, before & after M-r (in this phase March 21 – Apr 1, and Apr 25 – May 5), when MERCURY moves slowest. As this post-MERCURY retro ‘storm’ comes to a close, take it easy, in the integration phase, leading over to MERCURY leaving the post-retro ‘shadow’ on May 13, and entering TAU on May 15. What can be mentally a grounded & conscious way forward?
Sabian Symbols for the Start & Finish Degrees of MERCURY Retro
On Apr 1, the MERCURY retro phase starts, at 27°13′ ARIES. Since MERCURY won’t reach the 28° mark but backtrack, I’ll take:

The second stage of a five-fold sequence of phases always reveals a contrast to the first, but not necessarily an opposition. What a perfect symbol for the paradoxes and inner mental processes MERCURY retro brings, and (re: imagination) for the PISCES energy at the onset of the upcoming M-r (VENUS, MARS – ruler of AR, SATURN, and NEPTUNE, all in PI now). I also love the playful, child-like quality of this symbol – so ARIES too – here as part of the spiritual journey.
On Apr 25, MERCURY goes direct again, at 15°59′ ARIES.

KEYNOTE Attunement to the potency of invisible forces of nature
In the light of personal fulfillment (symbol of sunset and wisdom) humans may be able to establish a life-giving contact with natural forces. These are active any time growth processes take place, but one’s individualized mind is usually too focused on working for consciously set goals to be able to realize concretely the presence of invisible (or ‘occult’) forces in operation. These forces constitute a specific realm of any planetary life. They are inherent in all ‘biospheres’, on whatever Planet. The combo / common themes of the Sabian Symbols shows: There’s a beautiful potential for realizations during / through the M-r phase – also reminding us that ARIES has also an innocent quality to it.
“Becoming as children again” comes up with the two Symbols, at the onset and the end of M-r, reminding us to re-connect to all beings with openness, and through cultivating imagination. Also reflected by MARS, ruler of AR, in PI during MERCURY’s retro journey.
How about literally wandering around at springy sunset times, and connecting with fireflies and other usually unseen beings that may appear…?! No expectations, just openness. Sweet practice, and can lead to more magic.

Rather than having the mind ueber full… Be mindful, and observe the phenomenon mind from a deeper level.
Like, by asking yourself: Why am I really saying this? Who’s the one thinking and talking here?
If we don’t do from time to time this ‘mental hygiene’our inner ‘devil’s advocate out-tricks us, subconsciously ‘sabotaging’ our plans, second guessing ourselves, and constellating circumstances that make us back off from our original intention.
So important to check what we’ve been doing with our brain – or rather, what the brain has been doing with us all along.
The Buddhists call the day-to-day mind that busies itself with all kinds of ‘chatting’ and inner stories, lists, and dialogues, the ‘Monkey Mind’. Which can easily act up / out in ARIES. Like a monkey, the trickster mind jumps from one tree of interest and attachment to the next, and is never quiet, unless we observe the movement, and thereby naturally calm it.
May we, once again, cultivate mindful awareness of the ‘Trickster’. May we engage it in playful imagination that brings us to the magic of the moment.

All-united, all-ONE, in the Web (or ‘chaos’) of Life.
Round Apr 8, day of the Total Solar Eclipse inARIES w. CHIRON, and MARS meeting SATURN, will be top season for Spiritual Warriors. It all comes together when MARS meets NEPTUNE on Apr 28.

Anger (MARS) – typically via division – has built up too, and can be fueled (MARS) by a soup of collective (PI) thoughts and emotions in the ‘field’. It needs an effective-productive outlet, rather than just ‘free floating’ in the social & not-so-social media – which are also an AQ / PI phenomenon that emerged, in these PI to AQ Age transition times.
Instead of being ‘infected’ by venting what you’re angry about… What DO you want to see / co-create for the future? And what is the energy of your wants & desires (a bigger theme…)?
VENUS already in PI since March 11and ahead of MARS can raise vibrations, to love, openness, connectedness, flow. She meets & passes SATURN on March 21 – Love beyond fear / control / judgment. MARS will follow, sail around that ‘rock in the ocean’, on April 10 – Courage beyond fear, movement beyond blockages.
Like Surfing or Dancing…
MARS in PISCES can be a wild & wonderful dance / swim / surf / spa, or a crazy & chaotic ‘soup of energy’– which can be released with blessings & ceremony.
Our wants & actions are influenced by what we expose ourselves to. Our actions have ripple effects. From the ‘want’ to the ONE.
When we’re in synch the energy carries us & moves with ease. Like dancing and surfing. Seems like we’re getting tuned-up for this now, and are ‘pushed’ to tune in and go with the waves (vs. doing things the old and hard way of working / fighting with resistance / attachment).

The main activation of this MARS energy will be its conjunction w. NEPTUNE (in its ruled sign PISCES 2012 – 2026), on Apr 28.
Tuning in & tuning up. Actively surfing energy waves that are available. Multi-dimensional / unconditional connectedness in / as the ONE.
May MARS in PISCES burst illusionary bubbles, and stir up the fogof old, ‘entrained’ Pisces Age phenomena (where it’s all-too often about the co-dependent dynamic of victim – perpetrator – saviour) – so that we can freshly move forward, when MARS emerges in ARIES, end of April.
