In a Solar Eclipse – even more so a TOTAL one -, the SUN Light is temporarily blotted out by the MOON, and re-newed, from Earth perspective.
An old consciousness (SUN), when it comes to ARIES, is being re-set since it’s not in resonance with feelings & needs (MOON) anymore, if it ever was.
The Lunar Feminine steps in front of the outmoded Solar Masculine.
A new Alchemy occurs.
When it comes to society, in trad. Astrology, in an Eclipse, the SUN represents ‘the King’ / ‘Ruler’ of a country, and the MOON represents ‘the People’, esp. in countries on the Eclipse Path.
Hence, the formula for a TSE: “An Old King dies / abdicates”.
Total Solar Eclipse Themes
The old ARIES consciousness / kingdom of warfare leaves a trail of destruction that’s been wounding (CHIRON, aligned w. the Eclipse NM) everybody – except those involved / invested in the military-industrial system / complex (PLUTO in CAP / AQ) making profits from wars.
We the People are so done with this old modus operandi of the outgoing PISCES Age over the last two millennia that’s been characterized by so much suffering, in co-dependency of victims, perpetrators, and saviours (or those posing as such).

Did you know that Eclipses come in cycles (known as Saros Cycles), and repeat in the same sign combination every 18 – 19 years (which relates to the 18½ year Nodal cycle)?
There was an early ARIES Total Solar Seed Eclipse on March 29, 2006, – with Path of Totality over Brazil, West Africa, Turkey and Russia (over Ukraine near Totality).

Here’s the U.S. chart from July 4, 1776.
What strikes most:
Its CHIRON at 20º09 AR in the country’s 4th House is amost to the degree identical with the current CHIRON –
Ever so catalyzed by the Eclipse (at 19º24 AR).
I.o.w., the U.S. have this year and month their 5th CHIRON Return (every approx. 50 y.), in its 248-year history.
Together with its PLUTO Return (every 248 y.), once more activated this Sept to mid-Nov(!) when PLUTO has its last ‘unfinished business’ at the very end of CAP to do, before going for the next 20 y. into AQ.
The CHIRON in ARIES activation brings up Wounds of War.
The U.S. have been a country at war.
At ‘home’: Wars on First Nations, and Civil War (literally 4th House).
And involved in so many wars abroad!
That CHIRON position – in wide square w. the SUN in CANCER shows:
Wars wound the country, the people, the families – in the U.S. and in the Human Family.
There have so much with the verbal / political / media wars over the last years, and now have gone to another level, by the wars in Ukraine and in Gaza.
This must end, and not escalate.

Eclipse Year Election Candidates
Two contenders for the presidential position were born under a LUNAR Eclipse!
While the ARIES Eclipse affects them both – in different ways.
Did you know?
Donald Trump was born on June 14, 1946 – the DAY of a Total Lunar ‘Release’ Eclipse in SAG – GEM (just 3 1/2 hrs before totality!).
Here’s his chart that shows the SAG / GEMINI Polarity, with MOON / SN in SAG and SUN / URANUS / NN in GEM.
The Eclipse w. CHIRON falls on Trump’s 8th / 9th House cusp (he doesn’t have anything in ARIES – but a strong rising MARS).
Where it’s about Power / Change (8th) and Politics (9th).
Is he able to help heal the ‘Wounds of War’? Or will / would he inflict more?
The Eclipse w. CHIRON opposes Trump’s CHIRON / JUPITER in LIBRA on his 2nd / 3rd House cusp – where it’s about communicating his values through negotiation / strategy.
Is he ‘good at that’, or ‘very wounded / wounding’? Or both?

His birth time isn’t known / not publicly accessible. So I set up his chart for 12 noon.
RFK Jr was born on Jan 17, 1954 – the DAY before a Total Lunar ‘Release’ Eclipse in CAN – CAP.
In the article from last month, Public Players 2024: Robert F. Kennedy Jr., I discussed his chart in detail – as well as his transits for this year, and his connection with the U.S. (esp. PLUTO).
I can’t say which House the ARIES Eclipse w. CHIRON falls into for RFK Jr since we don’t have his birth time.
However what’s clear is that the Eclipse is in wide cardinal T-square w. his own pre-ecliptic MOON / SN / URANUS in CAN, and his stellium w. NN / CHIRON / VENUS / SUN / MERCURY in CAP.
Now, that’s a massive activation.
For what? Maybe to pick up the torch of legacy from his ancestors (CAP), and help lead the country (CAN) out of wars & corruption (PLUTO) and into a new fresh start (AR)?
Also noteworthy:
Both candidates have strong transits from JUPITER round election time.
By then, JUPITER will be in GEM (from May 25 on) – approaching RFK Jr’s JUPITER (a Return) – exact in Aug / Nov 2024 and Apr 2025, and Trump’s URANUS / NN / SUN – exact Aug – Nov 2024 and Apr 2025.
JUPITER in GEM will also activate and emphasize the U.S. MARS – stationary-exact in Sept / Oct 2024, and again in Apr / May 2025.
May heated debates lead to truth & understanding.
Both candidates are already stirring the pot, and would bring ARIES type new approaches (to put it neutrally) to the current status-quo – yet likely also lots of controversy (ARIES / U.S. MARS in GEM, activated by both of them, and by JUPITER soon).
Canada and the ‘American’ Total Solar Eclipse
CHIRON in AR has been in 2022 – 2024 close to the AC & NEPTUNE at 15 / 16° AR of Canada’s Federation chart of 1867 – first time in 50 years – and started a new cycle through Canada’s chart.
Lots of old / original wounds have emerged that go back to / mirror the country’s coming into being.
No reconciliation without truth – on so many levels!
Time for healing and for a new beginning!
While new colonization methods & trends have emerged, and are going on, in changed format: Decimation of Old Growth forests, fracking, and other unsustainable ways of mis-management of ‘natural resources’.
Assaults (ARIES wound) on nature – and on culture, via gentrification / unaffordability / cost of living crisis – have brought many Canadians into survival mode – and onto the streets, protesting.
More controversy / division / anger permeates the country now than in a long time – maybe: than ever? Many Canadians have woken up from the NEPTUNian slumber into asserting their needs & rights.
A new approach (AR) is needed.
The TSE falls into Canada’s 1st House of the Country’s Identity.

Justin Trudeau’s MOON & CHIRON are in ARIES in his 8th House – which the Eclipse w. CHIRON will be super close to.

Let’s (finally) take a look at the ‘Birth Chart’ of the
ARIES New Moon / Total Solar Eclipse, for Victoria BC
The ARIES NEW MOON will be at 11:21 am PDT.
The maximum Eclipse at 11:29 am PDT, as noted on the chart.
If skies are clear, we’ll be able here in Victoria to see only about 20% of the SUN disk occulted by the MOON, and the Eclipse phase takes 1 hr 38 min, from 10:41 am to 12:19 pm PDT.
What a strong gravitation in the PI – AR – TAU Field!
The ARIES Eclipse w. CHIRON ‘pulls it together’.
The Total Solar Eclipse catalyzes what’s going on in the Astro sphere, much more than ‘regular’ New Moons & Full Moons.
Still / again (as in the last weeks), most Planets are all in one ‘corner’ of the Zodiac, between mid-PI to mid-TAU, with only PLUTO in early AQ and LILITH in late VIR ‘standing by’.
A ‘Wedge’ configuration – with highly concentrated themes:
Endings which can come with chaos (PISCES)
Fresh Beginnings / New Approaches – which can come with conflict (ARIES)
Stability – which is currently very unpredictable (TAU, w. JUPITER – URANUS).

Separation and warfare on all levels has been traumatizing in itself, and re-traumatizing early wounds of the battle for life (in relation to early human history, and to early childhood / separation from mom).

TAU post-ARIES brings stability. Yet, not-so-much these years with URANUS in TAU (2019 – 2026), now even enhanced by JUPITER.
Checking in, re: “Who benefits?”, and “Follow big money” can help understand – and even outgrow (JUPITER) the disruption (URANUS) of everything stable, enjoyable and secure, incl. Nature (TAU), over the last five years.
How about the military-industrial-pharma complex?!
Its extent is now revealed as never before.
How about corrupt corporate capitalism of greed / inflation / exploitation / neo-colonization?!
Awakening (shocking? liberating?) paradigm shifts are on now, as URANUS in TAU (2018 / 19 – 2026), pushes us to EmBody Freedom, while grounding the Light.
On Apr 20, JUPITER meets and passes URANUS in TAU – the second major Astro event of the month – if not the whole year.
Which can bring major revelations, but also upheaval and unrest.
The energy is very unsettled. Yet also important opportunities (JUPITER) for radical breakthroughs into freedom (URANUS) are offered.

And creatively – co-envision and co-imagineer.
Where can we start individually, from the inside-out’?
MERCURY now retro in ARIES activates (dwarf planet) ERIS who’s currently round 25° AR (in AR 1922 – 2040!) – hence ERIS is also part of the Eclipse!
The ERIS Archetype – Greek goddess of discord & strife (and sister of MARS / ARES) – seeds disruption and separation, is vengeful and confrontational, because she’s excluded / not welcome at the table / not invited to the ‘ceremony’.
So much conflict & strife has been triggered / found outlets these last years with PLUTO end of CAP squaring ERIS…
