* LIBRA New Moon / JUPITER (Sept 30) The Fine Art of Reflection, Balance, and Synergy

30 Sep

Johfra Bosschart: LIBRA, with abundant esoteric symbolism. You’ll love the descriptions http://www.johfraposters.com/store/?pID=12

The theme of the lunar month since the  VIRGO New Moon / Solar Eclipse on Sept 1 has been:

RE-Alignment and RE-finement, Inner Integrity, and RE-Birth of the Sacred Feminine.

When that ‘vertical alignment’ with the Higher Self, with our inner assignment, when integrity and wellness are in place for us in our own life, the ‘horizontal alignment’ via LIBRA is the next level of initiation:

The dance with ‘the other’ begins, and we (ideally) attract synergistic partners (1 + 1 = more than 2 J).
‘The other’ is a mirror or reflection whom we attract (LIBRA is ruled by VENUS) through who we are and what we project and do. One of the major themes in LIBRA is the balance of Masculine and Feminine, of Yin and Yang.

LIBRA rules the 7th house in the chart – and shows us how we see ‘the other’, and do the dance of relatedness (on all levels) with them. Which is not necessarily harmonious. Opposites attract, and we learn through polarities. The fine art of fairness, equality, balance, negotiation, and peaceful relationship is accentuated with LIBRA….

Balance… is a big theme at this seasonal time of year.
The SUN crossed last Thu Sept 22 from VIRGO over to LIBRA, the point in the Zodiac where ‘Perfect Balance’ resides:

On Sept 22 and 23, the days and nights were exactly equally long in the Northern and Southern hemisphere, with the SUN exactly above the Equator. Not only that – on the Equinoxes, we experience the same 50:50 daylight / night time hours everywhere on Planet Earth! http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/september-equinox.html#what

Equi-nox literally means in Latin: Equal night.

Now we have moved from the expressive ‘Realm of the SUN’ – Spring and Summer in the Northern hemisphere when day light is longer than the night time – to the rather introspective ‘Realm of the MOON’ – Fall and Winter, when night hours are longer than day light.

The EQUINOX BALANCE POINT in the cycle between Earth and SUN not only shows us how light and darkness are in perfect balance – for a moment in time within a cosmic cycle. It also reminds us of the importance of Balance in so many ways, in our human personal, interpersonal, and transpersonal world.

YinYang Infinite

The essence of timeless Tao Wisdom: Yin-Yang Balance is always dynamic and interwoven.

How balanced are you, when it comes to…
Your inner Masculine – your inner Feminine?
Left brain – right brain engagement?
Activity – rest & regeneration?
Pursuing and creating – magnetically attracting?
Giving – receiving?

What it means to live a balanced life is different for everyone.

PLUTO in CAP on the turnaround Still Point this week (turned from retro to direct on Sept 26) says, it’s your call, no more giving power away to outer authority. Just know how YOU bring out your Best, in the most sustainable way, and live accordingly.

Wherever LIBRA is in our chart (whichever astrological house/s it’s in) that’s the area in life where we realize the importance of balance – and where we have a golden opportunity (JUPITER now in LI) to learn and grow, with your themes around balance, harmony, fairness, right relationship, and making wise important choices.
1st house: Balance in yourself, right relationship with yourself.
3rd house: Living in harmony with your environment.
6th house: Working with themes of fairness, beauty, harmony. Work style – lifestyle choices.
9th house: How can travelling bring more balance in your life? Is it hard to balance travel with….?

THIS LIBRA New Moon opens a new chapter to rebalance what’s been out of balance, and a new portal for relatedness in synergy where the whole is so much more than the sum of its parts. We are invited to find a well-fitting match, especially in the area of our life related to early LIBRA in our charts (planets there, houses).

7th house: Meeting partners, privately, professionally, or otherwise significantly 1-on-1 in a new way, starting a fresh way of relating.

1st house: Be your own best / new partner, and start from there.

4th house: New relationship with family, past, and origin.

LIBRA is about relatedness and dance-in-balance with all our relations, partners, family, animal and plant realm, and: Planet Earth.

PLUTO in CAP, now direct again since Sept 26, points us to GROUNDED CHANGES from the CORE.

The LIBRA MOON squares stationary PLUTO in CAP tomorrow, Oct 1. The LIBRA SUN squares PLUTO on Oct 7, and JUPITER in LIBRA squares PLUTO on U.S. Thanksgiving(!), Nov 25. The U.S. will also have their PLUTO Return (a 248 year cycle) in the next few years. Their SATURN is in LIBRA. Right relationship, peace and justice are crucial karmic themes for the country.

We’ll gather for a U.S. Astro evening on Oct 17. Wanna join us? FB Event: https://www.facebook.com/events/1843692322518567/

The ‘involvement’ of PLUTO in the ‘equation’ brings the importance of Balance, Fairness, Justice, and Peace to a more societal / political, collective, evolutionary, transformational level. Definitely a ‘hot’ topic (not only) this Fall.

This Libran month, come explore YOUR LIBRAN themes in a deeper and broader way!
Especially, since JUPITER is in LIBRA for a whole year too (since Sept 9, until Oct 10, 2017).

  • What are your themes of the Libran dance of opposites and reflections?
  • Where does it originate for you?
  • What is ready now to come into harmony and balance for you, and how?

Let’s customize and focus a private 1-on-1 (very Libran) session especially on this theme, since it’s so important for all of us this year, and JUPITER gives incentive to gain more understanding, perspective, and growth from there.

LIBRA Perspective Astro Focus Sessions, Oct 1 – 20

The NEW MOON in early LIBRA catalyzes the Fall Equinox – it’s the first New Moon in Fall 2016, AND also JUPITER in LIBRA (the first New Moon since JUPITER entered LIBRA, on Sept 9).

May we tune into the natural gifts of the Equinox, and mirror it with Equilibrium, a refined sense of Balance, well trained skills to maintain Balance, and by being a Beacon of Peace!

May JUPITER’s enhancement of LIBRA this year show us more fully the issues of equity and equality, and the importance of balance, harmony, and peace, to support transformation (JUPITER will square PLUTO on U.S. Thanksgiving Day, Nov 25!)!

* The LIBRA New Moon / JUPITER Chart, with Mutable T-Square to SATURN

A Fuller Picture…

Voila – to the left is the chart for the exact LIBRA New Moon today Sept 30, at 5:11 pm PDT, viewed from Victoria BC:

The tension in the cosmic picture has eased up, since the New Moon / Solar Eclipse, and the Full Moon / Lunar Eclipse. Way less mutable energy now too (wow, sooo many moving parts, lots of shuffling, juggling, lots of jazz and funk), and overall more balance – very much in accord with LIBRA.

As you see in the chart, the NEW MOON in LIBRA is just past JUPITER, and activates the JUPITER in LIBRA theme for the year (Sept 9, 2016 – Oct 10, 2017) – see above.

Check out that (residual – was much stronger at the Solar Eclipse on Sept 1) Mutable T-Square, of North Node in VIR – South Node / NEPTUNE in PI, both squaring SATURN in SAG. Now as we’ve been initiated to come into refined self awareness and alignment (VIR North Node), and to let go of chaos and confusion, overwhelm and addiction – with LOVE (PI South Node / NEPTUNE), the path and focus have become clearer (SATURN in SAG), and a new commitment may have emerged.

MERCURY in VIR has its last aspect – an opposition with CHIRON retro in PI, tomorrow Oct 1: A balance between practicing what brings us into alignment (practice IS perfect) – maybe learned through MERCURY retro – and letting things go, and come together the natural way, is healing and teaches us so much.

MARS, now (since Sept 27 – until Nov 8!) in CAP where the planet’s energy is ‘exalted’ – strongest in the Zodiac – is super grounding and helps build a solid foundation, based on what matters most, and is sustainable in the long run. The square from the LI MOON to MARS (today Sept 30), and MARS’s square to JUPITER in LI on Oct 5 create a charge / tension that challenges and pushes us into wise, sustainable choices. What’s unbalanced needs to go and be re-purposed.

On Oct 19, MARS will pass PLUTO in CAP – one of the main transits this coming month (happens every 2 years only):
An activation of a movement?

Hidden power agenda under the surface (PLUTO in CAP) is being triggered and brought out.

How can we act from a place of deep integrity and connected with soul power?

VENUS, now relational ‘Evening Star’, in SCORPIO (which is ruled by PLUTO) goes into exact Water Trine with NEPTUNE tomorrow Oct 1: As we might attract situations and people that bring out our darker sides it’s compassion and letting go with love that helps release what’s sticky and attached in this ‘affair’.

VENUS will reach LILITH soon, on Oct 6: Attracted to and through darkness, as we are true to our deep inner nature.

Sabian Symbol for the New Moon Degree:

The New Moon is at 8°14’ LI (see chart).

9° LI says:

Sistine Chapel (Vatican), Ceiling by Michelangelo

Young Hare, by Albrecht Duerer (original at Albertina, Vienna)

(Third ‘invisible’ Old Master: Your choice 🙂 )

Keynote: The need to return to source during a confused search for new value in a chaotic society.

There are always moments which focus in our minds the longing to re-ground ourselves in the great achievements of the past. The number 2 suggests completeness; esoteric traditions speak of the threefold Soul, or of three fundamental “Rays” – of Power, Love / Wisdom, and Intelligence-in-Action. Meditation, in its deepest sense, is a return to Source – an attempt to re-identify oneself with one’s essence of being, which is triune in manifestation, and now, after confused but challenging wanderings, to identify oneself consciously with this ‘essence’. The finer forms of one’s culture provide the means to do this. The great moments of the collective past become an inspiration for new, yet sound, beginnings. The seed of tomorrow salutes the seed of yesteryear.

At this stage, it is suggested that in the process of ‘Transfiguration’ the presence of the greatest moments of the past is called upon, as Moses and Elijah were invoked in Jesus’s Transfiguration. The seed of the new day depends upon the seed of yesteryear for an experience of the cyclic continuity of spirit. This is the basis for the institutionalized ideal of APOSTOLIC SUCCESSION, the guruampara (and uninterrupted chain of gurus) of Indian tradition.”

SO much in this symbol. So apropos the astrological process we’ve been in.

Such a good and ‘simple’ (yet not always easily followed) reminder to return to source and ancient, timeless wisdom, in times of crisis and chaos.

The mutable, ecliptic, chaotic September crucible might have spun us centrifugally, yet, here we ARE, always sourced from essence, and invited to return into IT.
Our inner (often neglected and avoided!) wisdom guide (SATURN in SAG – I love how a teacher said: Ganesh, the ‘Remover of Obstacles’ actually replaces obstacles with wisdom), our inner catalyst to come back to timeless yet ever transforming essence (PLUTO in CAP), both show up in the image of the ‘Old Masters’.

What do these inner resources say to a ‘New Beginning’ from an ancient, timeless place?
