JUPITER in VIRGO goes retro (Jan 7) next to the North Node: The Practice of Well-Being Helps All.

3 Jan

JUPITER now in VIRGO (Aug 11, 2015 – Sept 9, 2016) goes RETRO on Jan 7 (until May 9), from very close to the North Node in VIR (and opposing the South Node in PI).

So JUPITER is, besides MERCURY (which is also going retro this coming week) presently an astrological focal point, plus the VIR – PI Nodal axis gets ‘highlighted’.

Balancing and bridging the two ‘sides of the equation’ of VIR and PI becomes important…even though, from the PI perspective, everything contains its polar ‘opposite’ and life IS the union of apparently opposing forces.

JUPITER, the Mentor Archetype, energetic representation of the largest planet in our Solar System, shows our opportunities for growth, expansion, understanding, and wealth on all levels, and guides us ob our path of wisdom and happiness.

With an ‘attitude of gratitude’, abundance consciousness, generosity, and a good sense of humour, life (esp. in the areas / astrological houses that are represented by the celestial position of ‘our’ Jupiter) offers indeed a bounty of supply. But quantity doesn’t necessarily equate quality…

The shadow sides of Jupiter are excess, too much of a good thing, and an overbearing demeanour of ‘knowing better’ or moralizing.

One JUPITER mantra might be: Do you want to be right or do you want to be happy?

How is all of that applicable to detail focused, meticulous, analytical, critical VIRGO???

Obviously, Jupiter loves to be free, spacious, and generous and expanded in its Sagittarian ‘domain’, and also its former oceanic Piscean realm, now ruled by Neptune.

The area  Jupiter travels through grows and gets enhanced, opportunities show up, and we can also see and understand the bigger picture.

What’s going on, for us personally, with JUPITER in VIRGO, and in its present turnaround-phase?

‘Details’ matter

VIRGO is the sign of the Sacred Feminine / Priestess, and of the Hermit. A self-contained ‘harvest’ energy, dedicated to ‘doing one’s work’, in alignment with one’s purpose.

How can Mentor Jupiter help us enhance the best of those qualities?

  • What also can get ‘bigger’ (so that we can see it better for what it is) is the awareness how it starts with a ‘problem driven’ attitude, and can feed into our limiting beliefs and fears. We can see the evidence, and there is an opportunity to change this loop, as JUPITER in VIR will square SATURN in SAG, in March and May 2016. So when we see the inner nagging ‘critic’ how can we create space around that? What would the inner coach and mentor say to that one?
  • Where is our ‘True Sacred Work’? How can focus on that absorb the (self)critical sides?
  • How do we find new and better alignment with health, wellness, right livelihood / lifestyle?
  • What is to be ‘cleaned up’ and ‘organized’? It will make us more content and happy, says Jupiter. And business / your affairs in general can operate better too. It doesn’t have to cost much (probably actually saves $$$). An excellent rewarding New Year’s project.
  • Where are opportunities to show your crafty side?
  • How can you offer your gifts that can help a lot of people?

JUPITER’s RETRO motion can help us re-visit opportunities, and see inner gifts.
Let’s give ourselves credit for all the tools and practices we have integrated over the last year.
Let’s consider how many people we have been of service to, and how many people have been helpful to us.

JUPITER is also a societal Archetype showing us what’s popular and important for the common good.

In modest VIRGO this year we see more concern for the environment (well, or at least an understanding why it’s SO important to take care of nature), support for and appreciation of fields of service, health and wellness. It can bring more people to ‘their senses’ and to a grounded, practical ‘common sense’ around what works and what is dysfunctional in our society. Hopefully, the health concerns are outbalancing all the tons of online tools (apparently each one of them promises to make life simpler and better organized…).

Women and the Sacred Feminine are being more honoured, and the world is more ready to see what women provide (often quietly and humbly). Plus,  LILITH now in LIBRA stirs up social justice and gender equality world-wide.

The need for practical help and organization has come up big time, with refugees streaming into Europe, and are now also welcomed by other countries. Charitable services are being mobilized, while the question is still: How can they be integrated?

Where is service-in-action best applied? Check out what is the most effective and soulful work that calls you.

Jupiter has a 12-year cycle, and was the last time in VIRGO from end of Aug 2003 – end of Sept 2004:

  • How has your VIRGO area of life (work, service, business, health, wellness) expanded over the last 12 years?
  • How can you tell yourself the story in an authentically grateful and appreciative way, and exude natural happiness, which in turn attracts more opportunities?

JUPITER is a VIP (very important planet) for your VIRGO Sun, Moon, AC, or planets, this year.

If your Ascendant is Sagittarius, Jupiter is your ruling planet (VIP) and the Archetype is key in your life.

And if you are going through a phase where you wonder whether more and better is possible, how to expand and extend yourself, you are dealing with Jupiter themes.

If you would like to know if JUPITER is significant and  activated for you in 2016 please contact me, and we can customize a private session around that theme, or weave it into an overall transit session.
